"I'm Xane the wandering Joker," Xane introduced himself while ducking the spells and narrowly avoiding the thundaga. "And I'd hate to break it to ya but yo' ass is toast!" Xane joked with a flying kick. OOC: Anyone else getting these in-jokes?
"All we need now is a pirate..." Xane muttered as he ducked from Astos' fist. "So you're Astos, huh" Xane asked swinging a fist.
Xane barely had time to duck away at the fireball tossed at him. He quickly turned around to ask, "And who or what might you be?" OOC: Ha!
"Ha! I bet he's scared of Forrest Imps too!" Xane laughed. "Who's next?" OOC: Will Garland bake cookies next, DarKnight? XP
"Garland?" Xane exclaimed, hopping up from his resting spot.. "I've heard of this guy! Only in legends, though. I didn't think he was real!"
Xane rested for a bit as the others fought off the two monsters.
Xane waited for the monsters to emerge...
"These rules make my head hurt...Along with the rest of my body," Xane commented as he awaited what was next.
Xane kicked the mummy off of him and pelted it with a barrage of punches.
Xane cracked his knuckles as he prepared for the next set of monsters. Though, he couldn't help wincing when he did.
"Hp? What does he mean by-" Xane started ask as he was interrupted by an anaconda. Without hesitation, he punched the monster away. OOC: Sorry for the slow reply. I had to wash dishes.
OOC: Thanks. And sure. BIC: Xane yawned as the doctors and nurses bandaged his body up. Turning towards the monitor in the corner of the room, Xane saw Xardius was in some sort of survival fight. Xane shrugged off the medics surrounding him and stretched his arms out. "After that, I think I can handle random monsters bein' thrown at me," Xane explained to them. With that, he walked towards the arena below. As Xane made his way inside he asked, "Need some help, old man?"
OOC: Time to finish up my fight. BIC: Sweat mixed with blood as Xane pulled himself off of the ground. He had enough stamina to...WHAM!!! Heimdall struck him once more with the boulder he'd pulled from the ground. Heimdall never ceamed to cease in his assault, but Xane wasn't ready to give up yet. Heimdall reared the rock back for another strike...As the boulder began it's descent, Xane quickly clutched it in his hand and pulled it away. Stepping on it and crushing it, Xane held up his fists and began to strike once more. One hit to the stomach. A jab at the nose. A chop to the neck. A kick to the head. Xane continued a relentless assault. Heimdall was nearly helpless and that made him grow angry. Blocking one of Xane's punches with his bleeding hand, he used the last weapon he had. The horns on his helmet. He threw Xane's arm away, causing to make a loud snapping sound. Xane's arm was pulled out of his socket and was forced to lean on the wall to balance himself, as Heimdall kicked one of his legs back like a mad bull. He charged. Xane used his good arm to place a hand on Heimdall's helmet in an attempt to hold him back. Heimdall kept on pressing forward. If things continued as they were, Xane's other arm would brake under Heimdall's attack and he would be speared by the helmet. Xane sighed and looked down at the ground. There were many different types of warrior. Skill was as important as strength. Concentration would often be key to victory. So, Xane used the last of his strength to pull his arm back into place and use it deliver a hook at Heimdall's jaw. The god stumbled backwards and fell to the ground, unconscious. Xane walked out of the arena with a victory, happy that he'd been able to survive all of that. Wiping blood and sweat from his forehead, Xane dragged his way to the tournament's medical center.
OOC: Your second trailer was great, DarKnight. I'll continue on to the second round as soon as Xane and Heimdall stop trying to kill each other.
OOC: Some battles were always integral to our story. But, other than that, I kinda agree about the health bars...
OOC: Man, I have a slight writer's block on my fight.. I'll probably have it up tomorrow. And how will round 2 be similar to Obsidian Sky?
the sunlight beamed upon Heimdall's sword as he swung it around his body, attempting to to hit Xane. There were never warriors with as much skill or power as the Norse gods. Heimdall was no exception. One quick thrust of his blade and... "Gnahhh!" Xane howled at the searing pain through his shoulder. Heimdall had an advantage. He was armed, whereas Xane, was not. Xane then quickly pulled out the blade, watching all of the blood fly loose. Heimdall was not one to quit and began to swing at Xane once more, before Xane quickly rolled out of the way, allowing the sword to slam into the ground. As Heimdall pulled his sword out of the earth, Xane kicked him in his ribcage and sent him towards the ground. Xane then took Heimdall's own sword and began to use it against it's owner. Xane swung and swung as Heimdall dodged and dodged. Xane kept using a specific pattern while using the sword in an attempt to trick Heimdall. He would wait until Heimdall was used to the pattern and strike without warning in some sort of attack. Heimdall, however, was wise to this type of simple strategy. He had, after all, used it himself countless times on lesser enemies. Who did this mortal think he was? Xane was no fool either. Heimdall avoided the counter attack by grabbing the sword's blade with his bare hands. As the blood trickled from his hands, Heimdall slowly pushed the blade away from his shoulder. As he did, he smiled and tightened his hand. The blade shattered. Xane was slightly stunned at how much pain heimdall could take, but then again, he was a god. Xane then responded by punching Heimdall in the jaw. Heimdall countered with a few jabs of his own, before elbowing Xane in the stomach. Xane doubled back and regained his footing before punching Heimdall in the ribs with a couple of swift jabs and following with an uppercut. The god wasn't tired yet. And he showed it by reaching into the arena ground and pulling out a ragged marble boulder. Xane, wiped blood from his mouth, raised his fists, and prepared another strike... OOC?: To be continued.
OOC: Did you have your Norse god fight yet, DarKnight? If not try Tyr. He's the Norse god of war, despite only having one arm. Look him up.
OOC: Hope ya get better, DK. BIC: "You were almost late," Heimdall told Xane, not even facing him. Heimdall was kneeling, sword placed in the ground, staring at apparently nothing. He wore a horned helmet, and was completely covered in armor and chain mail. He then rose, slowly, drawing his sword up from the ground. "They speak of you all, now. The people of all of the worlds. I can hear them.The people of the worlds," Heimdall stopped to pause before continuing. "They speak of the Ultimate Organization! Some regard you as heroes! Others see you no better than the forces you try to stop. But I see you as what you all truly are. Warriors!" The wind picked up in the arena as Heimdall took a step further. "You defend what you think is right. You make necessary sacrifices to make sure the battle is won. You are all warriors. Now, Wandering Joker...Do not disappoint me in this battle. I will not hold back. If I kill you you'll have honor of joining all of the other dead warriors in Valhalla with the Valkyries." Heimdall continued. "Huh. A win/win situation..." Xane mused. "Nah. Sorry, Heimdall, but that ain't happening!" "So be it," Heimdall smiled before spitting on the ground. "Though you do not yet possess the power to kill me, I expect nothing but honorable defeat from you. Now...." Heimdall started, pointing his sword at Xane. "Asgaaarrrrddddddd!!!!" he roared before raging into battle. Xane put his fists up and prepared for a real fight.
