Depends on how save files are handled. For the vast majority of PS3 games you can't push to large numbers. KH1.5 is actually the only one I can think of off hand that does allow that.

Those are two sides of the same coin. The RAM is how much your computer can keep track of at once. If your programs are locking up or being abnormally slow with too many open, then you can open less or equip your computer to handle more.

Different users have different requirements. I was working on someone with a really old XP machine abount a month ago. She had been fine with 512MB of RAM until the ISP installed some stuff that was capping her RAM as soon as the machine booted. And now she only runs 1GB. But obviously that is nonsense here. Focus on how much you need, not what someone else can get away with.

Eh, I run 8GB and I won't say I've never maxed it, but it is rare. My processor though, that I max out all the time.

I guess to be on the safest side with my advice you could get a single 4GB stick and then you're prepared to scale all the way to 16GB without tossing RAM you just payed for. Though on the other hand RAM is cheep enough these days that it wouldn't be a huge loss if you did double up.

If you decide you want to head in the direction of a 64-bit upgrade, but really want the RAM soon you could grab two 2GB sticks now. Then once you upgrade you can fill in the two empty slots then. If you have four 1GB sticks, odds are good you will replace all of it in a move to 64-bit later.

Honestly, with some of the video projects and stuff you've been known to do I'm not sure 4GB will cut it in the long run. Entirely your call though. 4GB should be enough for average use, you'll just start bottlenecking when you get into more intensive tasks.

First off, I want to say that the primary piece the video is talking about is not new. Crowded loneliness has been around much longer that social media. I know that was never actually said, but it often gets implied accidentally so I want to nip the "Back in my day we didn't have these problems" train of thought in the bud.

However I will also admit that crowded loneliness becomes a lot easier now. I think the biggest factor is filtering. With such a wide audience the vast majority of what you put out is shallow feel good topics; for two reasons I think. First, you don't put your dirt laundry out to dry. I don't my classmate's girlfriend that I met a party that one time to know about a fit of depression I'm having, thank you very much. Second, if they don't care for you, they don't want to hear it anyway (How often have we told people to get a blog and leave it out of the spamzone? Jokingly or not). So with everyone plastering up snapshots of their public image it is easy to feel like no one knows you. After all you didn't say it and no one knows to ask. And perhaps the worse issue is the feeling that you are the only one with issues. And the scary bit is that both are gradual changes in perception, you've had the bad habits and thought processes for a while before it hits you emotionally.

To be clear though this only carries risk not inherent issues. If nothing else conventional communication is still there. We haven't actually lost anything. If you earnestly feel that your needs aren't being met online, then go offline. However I believe there is no reason that you can't have these necessary conversations online, you just need to take measures against both those issues in turn. Seek out the people that care for you in more private means and tell them what you wish people would know. And realize that people are almost always less perfect than they make themselves appear online.

So yes, there are issues there. And yes, people do regularly fall into them. However there are benefits too. Perhaps the greatest is that boundaries are weakened, often to the point of nonexistence. It allows me to meet all of you guys who I would have almost no chance of meeting otherwise. It allows me to keep up to date with me cousin while she is studying abroad in Mexico and Europe. And the filter effect has a positive side too: efficiency. You guys didn't have to sit though me deciding points were off the point, or wrong, or too specific. So in a cost vs benefit look, I say there is no real need to fear the interwebs.

I totally agree with this. I'm okay when it is used casually as just a location. "This happened on KHV. That happened IRL" It is necessary context. But when people start claiming that the value of social interaction is significantly diminished, or even nonexistent, because it happened online, I honestly get pissed off. If that message hits its mark I've never seen it do good. Good times get brushed aside and bad times get ignored instead of dealt with.

    We As Human ~ Zombie

"You're on the inside, and I know you're fighting.
On the outside, your flesh is dying.
But this is not your funeral.
Wake up! Wake up! Wake up! Wake up the zombie!"

When I vacationed in Quebec it was funny how people either hated us over the stupid american tourist thing or were really nice. There was very little middle ground. Thankfully a couple of my cousins knew a decent amount of french though.

Yeah, unfortunately my two favorite ways to deal with them (Reflect and Wisdom Form) are obtained shortly after you leave.

I would say to set every spell so that it can't eat the last of your MP (except cure, because you can't) and spam whatever until it locks up. Then polish it off with the limit. Ether to repeat as necessary. It isn't a stable solution, but you can money grind elsewhere if you need it.

It should be possible with the guarding method above, but it can be easy to end up in guarding locks and run out of time.

That isn't that uncommon for me. Granted I autosub everywhere I post. So if I post in 15 threads and 10 of them have someone post after me once I've gone to bed... ta-da.

My personal theory on it was that "The End Of The World" was itself a heartless. And that the necessary result of that would be a world that was a nobody, "The World That Never Was"

As for why there are so many heartless there, it has to do with the world's balance. Remember that we normally see the realm of light and heartless are very common there despite that not being their home. TWTNW, being a realm in between, is closer to the darkness than we are used to. It makes sense that the heartless would be more numerous there. Balance that with the rarity of nobodies, and you get the Dark City.

Again though, personal theory. I rightfully have no idea.

Well they have to exist in some form don't they? I mean if I asked you to describe one for me, you could do it. They may or may not have a material existence (absence of evidence is not evidence of absence), but we have no way of knowing for sure if our own existence is material. So it is entirely possible that unicorns could have a more tangible existence than we do. Unlikely, but possible.

While we're at at here's mine. Probably one of the creepier character designs to be focused as a white mage.

Mine was designed to be based off a character I RPed as here rather loosely, it mostly turned into whatever I thought looked cool though.

I kind of feel silly for not thinking of the category folders. That has worked out rather nicely. /inb4 it looks even worse in 2 weeks.
Still not wanting to mess with rainmeter again though.
