Not as satisfying of an answer but I always thought it was simply that they wanted to reference the race for the name of the default gummiship. Since the victor has no significant impact to cannon, and what the player put in the box in the previous game was unknown, the opted for Riku's choice. Plus Riku is supposed to be better than Sora at everything back then. You can argue player skill, but things like the end of KH2 "I always thought you were better at everything too" makes the intent pretty clear.
KHV Username: Mixt Time Zone: CST (GMT -6) PSN PSN ID: tdm111 Consoles you play on: PS3 (sometimes PSP) Steam Steam ID: mixttime Nintendo Network 3DS Friend's Code: 2793-1478-7594 I know I skipped the games bit. I just have so many games and very few of them do I play with any regularity. I might throw some in later when/if I'm less lazy.
Yeah, I put up an upscaled one apparently. This should be the same one.
I thought I put up the same one. It did go through a few versions though, I can check again.
I keep wanting to use rain meter after seeing it here but I just don't have a good eye for design with it. Doesn't help that my desktop is normally half covered with icons.
And this is why I shouldn't wear one. Even if I was a girl, or it was normal for guys to wear them. I just can't seem to do that for a prolonged time. The closest I can get is leg crossing but that is often worse. Seriously, I've been trying for the like 30 seconds of typing this and I'm already shaking like I'm about to piss myself.
I know I'm goona have to do that eventually. But I'm dreading it. On the PS2 copy I don't think I ever managed to dodge even one.
Oh I suck at HP watching sometimes too. Luckly it is a rare issue when I'm in a praty. I always get overconfident at the early levels of a class only to have something kill me "out of nowhere" around level 5-10. Of course when I fight more it turns out that I need to fight like 5 without breaks and I just wasn't looking at all. lol But seriously, ethers (and potions for that matter) are given as a reward for like 1/3 of the quests and are sold for next to nothing in the market because of people (like me) who never use them. I really should at least start using food though. It actually can be useful and they don't sell well either.
BTW, on the MP deal. I run a Conjurer (healer) and MP comes back like crazy when I'm not in battle. I assume it is the same for other classes, but I'm pretty noobish. If a boss battle runs too long and I'm using my MP badly (mostly trying to attack myself instead of leaving it to DPS guys) I can start to run short. But even the in-battle regen has been enough to keep me a float. The only other role I've done Arcanist as part of getting the White Mage job, and I never ate enough MP to care about it's ability to regenerate. And that one even has abilities to get additional MP back. So yeah, you might want to play a Disciple of War class first, but I wouldn't worry about using a Discipline of Magic down the line.
Sony now charges for their servers as part of PS+, but since Square is hosting on their servers they are charging you instead. So there is no additional play cost to the subscription you are paying to Square. If you check the link I posted it shows that the 180 days is $13/month for a total of $78. But there is also an entry version that is $13 payed monthly. That is where I recommend you start until you decide you want more characters.
Going by MSRP (i.e. no discounts) the console is $400 and the game is priced from $40 (standard edition) to $80 (physical copy of collector's edition). I'm not sure what your sale's tax is so I'm going to say 10% which should be an overshot. That puts you at $484 - $528. Then PS+ isn't needed, as mentioned above, and the first month of FFXIV sub is given. After that the sub $13 a month. If you want PS+ that puts you at $10 a month or $4.17 done as the annual $50. So we end up with.. $484 - $528 upfront. $13/month for as long as you play. $50/year - $10/moth to have games periodically thrown at you. Note: Here is the price guide on the sub cost for North America
