Xenree flipped backwards, over Sora's attack and landed neatly on the ground. She shook her arm with an irritated look on her face when Riku launched himself at her. Sidestepping him, Xenree grabbed his tail and flung him a distance away. "Childs play..." Xenree released her Keyblade, "Seems a bit unfair to fight when I'm in this form and you're...as a little cub. Shows how little you've grown, Sora. Two years ago...you looked like this too, did you not? Seems to me...you haven't grown at all!" She dashed at him, magic burning in her palm when jagged lines of white and black caught up with her and wrapped around her arms and legs, restricting her movements. "What?" She looked back and found Lucretia with a pale hand placed on the World Heart. Black vines coiled up around it and a Nobody symbol with black thorns piercing into it and around it burned itself into the Heart. "We need not such a weak Heart. This world holds no Princess of Light and thus...it's not needed. This world...will exist in a realm of darkness, overrun by Heartless. Let's go, Xenree." Xenree dropped to the ground and Lucretia slipped into her shadow. "Grr..." She cast hatefilled silver eyes towards Sora.
Xenree's smile turned full blown as she clashed with Sora, the impact causing the ground around them to crack. "Hmph. So smug...but for how long?" She pushed him away and jumped after him, keeping Sora airborne as she lashed out at him with Keyblade in hand. A feinted strike to the left and Xenree cast Dark Firaga at point blank distance as a bolt of Thundaga struck her left arm.
Balmore Manor Foyer Seth released Rin and set the blue flowered vase down on the floor. "This...is my mother, Yeul Balmore. She was a Pureblood too. She died a long time ago. Purebloods give up their lives for their children, to protect them....or something like that. Only Purebloods can have children that will be alive when they're born...all others desperately try and their children are born dead." Orphanage Basement Valentine crooned at the young girl's side, stroking black hair away from her cut neck and she moaned, half conscious. "Don't worry...it'll all feel good soon...real soon. You smell...so good." She opened dark blue eyes and took in Valentine's malicious face. Terror filled her heart, making it beat faster. He brought glinting fangs closer to her neck and she screamed against the tape on her mouth.
Riku growled at Sora, "Sora, you're not nearly as strong as I am. Let me handle her and you go take on that guy and Xigbar!" he jerked his head towards Xigbar and Nox. Xenree tilted her head, "It doesn't matter...if I kill them all...the Heart has no choice but to show itself, correct? I'll have defeated the strongest either way." She seemed pleased with her answer and smirked, shifting her stance into a more violent one. Raising her Keyblade above her head, Xenree twitched her fingers towards Sora. "Come at me then...if you think you can beat me."
Raina didn't seem pleased by this notion. "Leave...? A-alright...if I must." She lifted her head and swished over to him. Her white gown brushing the water's surface. Without a word, she hugged him, her skin cold to the touch and her dress silky. She hugged his head to her chest and crooned to him. "A moment in time...can be worth ten thousand years of memories. I know you grieve over that woman...but if she truly wanted to stay, she would not have upset the balance of Harmony and Disorder to bring you to this point in time."
Balmore manor Seth couldn't possibly promise this to her. "I...I promise," he choked and held her tightly to him, uncaring if he bruised her delicate mortal body. Already she was covered in bruises but he'd sealed her fate with two simple words. But they were two words the woman he'd loved the first time hadn't wanted to hear ever. Luin - Hotel Still Suzaku and Nina had gathered the Dhamphirs into a room in a very odd Hotel named Hotel Still. Suzaku sighed painfully. "What else can we do? The night is over...we'll have to pick our moves carefully and move before the Vampires do. Another Purge would be good...but we'd risk the lives of all the humans that live here."
Kiel knelt beside Yves and pulled a white rose from a bundle of flowers. "We're not going to forget you, old man. You can always look down on us and say we're not playing our roles right...but don't you dare...ever inflict this pain again." He flicked the rose onto Yves' chest and stood, returning to Tori's side. Shimmers of light hung around the ceiling of the shrine and echoed Kiel's words and responded. "Promises promises...will you never grow up, Zadkiel? You have my word. Pain inflicted...will not be by my hand again. Heh...what would I do without this drama to keep an eye on? Remember...I can see to the real you and though you wander and wish for the truth...you must hold your honor and pride close, protect them, as the new High Court Seraphim." Kiel swallowed hard at Yves' voice echoing down from the shimmers of light. "S-stupid Seraph..." Kallai and Enan eventually stopped crying and commenced arguing with Kyrios, only referring to Yves as 'Brother'. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Heaven's Lament played for Yves as he viewed his own funeral with their eldest brother by his side. Micheal. He didn't move nor speak as Yves smiled fondly at Kiel and Tori. "They're good children...and they'll protect the Laws of Order well. I have faith in them. Don't you, Brother?" he turned to look at Micheal, watching his impassive face watch the funeral's progression. "How silly of me to ask. Of course you have faith. Now...on to all my put off buisness, right? Our Father wants to see me, correct?" Micheal turned away from the funeral and nodded once, speaking a single word so pure even Yves couldn't help but smile at the sound of it. "Yes." They both turned and headed off along a path carved perfectly in the grass, leading into the distance. He was home and home he'd stay, finally able to rest and resume his duties that he was born to do.
"Sleep on..." Raina echoed, "Perhaps you'd like to go back to a world you're familiar with?"
Balmore Manor~ "Of course it matters, Rin, but I refuse to keep you in harms way." Seth stood, pulling Rin with him and smoothed her hair, "Two years, Rin. Your eighteenth birthday shall be your last as a human."
Kiel rubbed the back of Tori's hand. Following after everyone, they stood around and small group by small group of fours they entered the shrine, offered their respects to Yves and left a few gifts, often flowers and left. When it was Kiel and Tori's turn, Kiel felt his heart constrict. "Well...it's time Tori...Lets go see him."
Luin Main Road~ The man opened his eyes a bit, seeing dirty shoes in front of him. A familiar scent, similar to his own. "W...water..."
Uriel stood, answering Tristan's question for him. "Now...would the students and teachers please follow me. It's...time." She choked on her words and Gabriel stood with her. They both looked very tired as they headed out the door, heading along the twisting hallways for the back garden. Kiel stood to follow. He noticed none of the teachers hung their heads except those in the High Court. None of them shed a tear for a Seraph that wasn't theirs. He figured they were counting their blessings that they still had their Seraphs. Uriel may have hung her head with Gabriel following behind her, but she didn't shed a tear again. He didn't want to see her cry again. Seeing the short Archangel break down like that was horrifying. "C'mon Tori...we should see what they've done with Yves' body and pay our respects." Penny stood to immediately follow. He knew Schuyler would go and he figured he should be there to comfort her in their time of need but Genesis set his hand on his shoulder, keeping him in his seat. "Angels of his court go first...and then the rest of the angels...outsiders like you humans...and the Dark Court demons will go last. Stick close to Regi...okay? He's...a friend."
Balmore Manor Foyer Seth shook off his memories. "Rin...I've put you at risk. Valentine isn't someone who can be trusted with anything. I worry about you. A human in a vampire household...with new werewolves living in town." Luin Main Road~ The wolf whimpered painfully, his tongue lolling on the ground, licking up dirt as passerbyers cringed in horror and hurried along. He shouldn't have entered the town like this...but it was too late to correct his error. Nothing...no one will help me... Mrs Balmore....forgive me... Forgive me...Yeul... He passed out and phased back to his human form. Luckily the humans had fled inside and shuttered their windows from the sight. But a naked man in the middle of the road was suspicious enough.
Balmore Manor Foyer Seth reached out for Rin and pulled her in to a hug. "It's alright, Rin. It's about time I thought about Yeul anyway. I've been running things a bit too roughly lately. Yeul would've been disappointed about everything...the party a few nights ago...taking you in...I've become a terrible person." Luin main Road Wheezing, the wolf fell over into the dust and pawed at the ground in front of him. So close...and yet so far away... Why did they have to move so far away...
Sanya apologized profusely to the wounded Book of the Grey as it lectured her on how old it's pages truly were and their worth. Kiel glanced up at Genesis and noted the strain on his face. "Giselle...you shouldn't go too far without Genesis and since it is a girls night, Genesis isn't allowed, right? I don't think it'd be wise to leave his side. Kyrios asked them to leave, didn't he, Genesis?" Genesis gave him a surprised look, his blue eyes wide and nodded shortly after. Kiel nodded once, "Then I'd stick beside him if I were you Giselle. Seraph Kyrios is serious when he means for you to leave the school. But as an important human in...Yves' plan he set in motion...we'll need you in the school for quite some time."
Balmore Manor Foyer Valentine stood and quietly walked out the door, lingering in the church as Seth scooped up what he could of the ashes and Cooke brought him a new vase. Dumping the white ashes into the vase, Seth's crimson eyes glittered. "Rin...come down here please. I know you're up there." Luin main road~ Wolf paws beat on the dirt road and rocketed into town, heading straight for the shade of the forest on the side of town. Gray fur flipped in different ways as the wind brushing by turned each strand in a different direction. Children squealed in excitement and adults clutched them to their sides, eager to get away from the stray wolf wandering through town. Panted breaths and half growls came from the wolf's mouth along with his lolling pink tongue.
Balmore Manor Seth knelt in the dust and grabbed handfulls of it. "Look...at what you've done!" Valentine jerked his head up to the balcony, "A guest?" Grabbing Valentine's coat, Seth shook him and banged his head against the wall behind him. "LOOK! That was our MOTHER! And you broke her heart...just like now you broke her vase!" Valentine stared at the vase on the floor and the dust. "Yeul...you mean...mother was...you gathered her ashes...and put them in a vase? How sick are you?" Seth let go of his brother and stumbled backwards, "I'm sick? No...Yeul...no...Mother was a wonderful woman...even if she wanted to die...watching her sons grow up like this... You caused her death just like you caused Lirum to leave and now....you instill fear in my friends and family! Get out...Get out!" Valentine backed away from his hysterical brother. It'd been centuries since he'd seen him like this and now it was even more frightening. "Lirum...the girl...I tied her up in the cellar of the Orphanage... Just...I didn't bite her, brother! If that helps at all...? I wanted...you to pay attention to me...but all you think about are your precious humans!"
"Lightning. It flashes bright, then fades away. It can't protect. It only destroys." Lightning nodded, giving Akira some room and turned her attention on deflecting any Calvary soldiers away from Akira and the rampant Bahamut. She could almost hear Fang's voice in her head. "Fear is somthing that consumes you. I must try to overcome my own fears." Akira slashed her gunblade across Bahamut's legs, jumping backwards as it lifted a clawed foot and slammed down, trying to squish her. Bahamut scored four long lines with his claws across the ground twice and whipped up a Whirlwind, flinging Akira into the air. Hanging onto her gunblade, Akira flew into the air, gritting her teeth and shutting her eyes against the wind. When the wind finally released, Akira free fell to the ground, almost... Bahamut charged non-elemental magic between his hands and clashed them together, smushing Akira in an Umbral Vise. Falling to the ground, Akira held her arm in pain. "That...hurt..."
Balmore Manor Foyer Seth tore away from Mirabelle and tackled his brother to the ground. The cell sliding across the floor over to Yuka and Ceril's feet. "I'll kill you!" Seth growled, sinking his teeth into Valentine's shoulder. "Oh you would just go and bite me! Filthy boy! However you became Father's favorite, it sickens me to see you torn up over a HUMAN!" Seth placed his palm on Valentine's head and crushed it into the floor. "We'll see who's the sickening one! Let's see what's inside that sick brain of yours!" Clammoring together the brothers rolled and slammed into the wall, causing the remaining vase to crash to the floor, shattering into pieces. They froze, staring at the pieces, lost in their memories as dust settled on and around them from inside the vase.
Raina floated away and hovered around a floating orb of water. "My sister causes Chaos...and I instill Harmony.. sleep is not a requirement for us. I do...not know the meaning of this word you speak. Sleep..." She chuckled and hugged the orb.
