Paws beating at the grass and tearing into the dirt as his claws fought for traction. He heard a distinct whistle and stopped dead in his tracks. Flicking his ears about for the sound again, he lowered his belly to the ground and crept away from the area. When he was a good mile from it, he lifted one foot and paused, the urge to call out to his brothers and sisters...to sing that lonely song to the moon overwhelmed him and a howl broke loose from his throat. forest Valentine kept silent. He didn't remember what they'd talked about. All he remembered was Ceril lying on her back and her slender hands tangled in his hair. A wash of warmth flooded over his skin and he walked a bit faster. Excitement over the fact that the world was looking up, he wanted to see what Seth would say.
This is a remake of the rp with the same title I attempted to do before. With Jayn's approval, I'm going to try again with a few new changes and a much more solid plot line. Progression will move quickly so do not fret about the lack of variety of characters. Dark Descent: Project G Thirty years ago, a new power manifested itself unto the world. With its discovery came the Magic Industrial Revolution. This power came to be called "Magic Energy." Even now, there are none who can explain why this power -- a power that merely lay buried within all living creatures -- suddenly flourished as it did. Today, this Magic Energy permeates every corner of the world. it has changed the way people live, transformed the shape of industry, and has even altered the nature of war. Several moments before on the Wohl Highlands, Khent forces dressed in Gohtzan armor fought against Uhra until a giant meteor fell from the sky and crushed large sums of soldiers. Those it didn't crush it melted with wave after wave of hot lava flowing from its core. Uhra Council - Council Hall Interior "Is it true the Khents have requested a truce?" Chairman Rengi asked. "Indeed. We heard that enough men were committed to cover the Wohl Highlands and that most of the Khent force were eliminated." another of the countil responded with a rather disgusted look on his chubby face, "This war was started by them. It's only right they withdraw." "We've also lost a tremendous number of troops. After suffering such a devastating loss, if the Gohtza were to strike now there would be no way we could defend our country!" another of the council piped up. "And there are also whispered that Gohtza was pulling strings behind the Invasion." the only female member of the council added. "What makes you think that the Gohtza were involved?" Chairman Rengi asked of her. "We have confirmed that a large amount of military hardware has been moved from Gohtza to Khent. We assume Gohtza plans to use Khent to keep things stirred up and destabilize Uhra. "Are you saying that even the meteor crash was a Gohtzan plot?" the chubby Council member questioned of her. "My lord, I have some disturbing information on that subject. We suspect that a situation at Grand Staff may have caused the meteor crash. "Grand Staff... This is not the first time that stories about it have reached my ears." Rengi frowned at his advisor. "This is not confirmed, but magic energy may have leaked out of Grand Staff. Interferred with something in outer space, and precipitated this disaster." "Anagraze." "Yes, My Lord." "The Grand Staff falls under your jurisdiction. Do you have anything to say?" Rengi scowled at the younger mage. Huffing, Anagraze responded, "Nothing for the moment." Anagraze turned to the advisor, "Where did you get this information? Construction of Grand Staff is going smoothly." "Now that the forces of Uhra have suffered such devastating losses, I think we have no other way to protect our land except with the magic energy that Grand Staff will provide. We should hold off on debating the pros and cons of Grand Staff until we've thoroughly reviewed the worlds current situation." A member spoke up almost in defense of Grand Staff and Anagraze. "What you say makes sense. But our plan to use magic energy is a double-edged sword. With all sorts of rumors flying around, we might want to...halt construction of Grand Staff." the Chairman looked pointedly at Anagraze and the council member who stood up for Grand Staff. "What?!" Anagraze gave the chairman a disbelieving look. "Only temporarily. Soon as it's clear that Grand Staff had nothing to do with the meteor collision, we'll resume construction immediately, Anagraze." cabin Nick took a step back and rubbed his eyes, glancing up at her he smiled anxiously, "Yeah I'll be alright. I'm just gonna hang out here for a while." His eyes were pure blue, no white remained in the sea of blue. Some called it puppy eyes, the way a werewolf's eyes become when they feel the tug of the moon. Though he kept smiling, his eyes cast him in an odd light in the approaching darkness. treehouse Valentine shook as he walked beside her, nervously scanning the ground. "Yeah...yeah...now...what was it I was going to talk to him about?"

Ren shook his head silently, "The only one who should be sorry...is me. I intentionally never told anyone about Yuukki...especially you. I wanted to bury her memory along with the evil of the Dark Court. He was still lost in the past. Kaila's lie had yet to resurface. Kiel twitched, clanging the flat of his sword against hers and shoving it to the side. "What? I can't have fun? You have to admit, dangerous stuff like this is kinda fun." Genesis didn't move. Her arrow bounced off his blade. His blue eyes lowered to the ground at her feet, "Yes...I am a pitiful, selfish creature...but...I do not know how much longer I have to be pitiful and selfish. It was before you came here that Lord Kyrios tore out one of my wings. It wouldn't be as bad if I didn't attract so many looks of pity and hatred. I am...nothing but his pawn." He glanced over at Kiel and Tori, they were happy fighting eachother and though Kiel's movements were restricted and held back, he moved with unburdened ease. Unfolding his single wing, Genesis dared one last glance at Giselle's face, he didn't want to see pity or anger...but he never expected her to show him compassion or any depth of feeling. With one, sorrow-filled glance, Genesis opened his wing, feeling the missing side respond with a painful twitch of the bone. "I'm sorry...to burden you with my thoughts. Perhaps it's better to not wish for another's affection."
Outside Cabin Nick hesitated outside the cabin. As the sun set, he felt the tug of the full moon, it made his heart race, his mind spin and his breathing hitch up a notch. Calming down was something he was incapable of doing at the moment. Forest Valentine dropped down after her, landing somewhat gracefully on the ground. Being un-used to his new clothes, he felt they restricted his movement. "You really think...it's a good idea? I'm almost positve Seth hates my guts right about now." His courage wavered and doubt made him trembled on the edge of sanity.
Ren buried his face in the crook of her neck and shoulder, "What have I forgotten? What...is it? Tell me why I feel like this when you cry." The same pale face framed by black hair broke across his vision and the name filled in, bit by bit. "Yuukki... Yuukki my wife..." Half of his existance with Kaila flooded back, blinding him momentarily, "And Kaila....the woman who developed a crush on me just like all the rest of the girls in the school. I wanted to spare you the pain of loving me...to keep you at a distance... but...I thought I had..." Kiel hopped over her blade, suppressing an old smile of joy. Genesis cocked his head, "I don't have a girlfriend.... I lied so Kiel would get off my back. If there was something I, myself, desired....it would be to have someone that cared about me...the way Tori cares for Kiel or Tristan for Jean the Summer Girl." He held his sword out to her, almost in an aggressive movement, "Expect something out of me....if only to keep my mind off of how miserable I've become."
Road to Luin Nick dropped his hand and frowned at her, "What's wrong with asking a little favor? What I've asked of you and your family hardly compares to this. Allowing wolves you don't know into your new home...letting me live with you without question. I wish I could do more to repay you." treehouse Valentine fixed his clothes and smoothed his hair back. "We should get going... I wonder if Seth will recieve me in a better mood with you beside me. Though...the fact that you smell like me probably won't help. I'm not sure how Seth feels about one of his friends associating with his 'demented' brother."
Ren snatched her back against him. "I don't know what you mean by failed everyone...but after something like that, I'll be dammed if I let you walk away now." Kiel tapped his sword against hers and shuffled backwards. Genesis glowered at her back and dropped his hands away from her. "I am your designated protector by our Holy Father. I've signed a contract with him and the Archangels that I cannot break. I will never leave your side if that is what you so desire." Stepping in front of her, he raised his sword again, "Strike my sword and I will fulfill whatever desire you hold."
Road to Luin Shaking his head, Nick hopped a few steps in front of her, "I'm sorry that that's the only information I can give. Maybe our Alpha can enlighten you a bit more when he gets here three days from now." Stopping in front of her, Nick set a hand on her cheek and stroked her cheek bone with his thumb. "If I could do anything to make you feel more comfortable with the idea of my pack coming here, I would do anything." treehouse Valentine reluctantly lifted himself up, "Yes, it will...such a shame...and things were just getting warmed up."
Ren laughed once, "That shouldn't be hard." He touched his lips to hers softly, anticipating the flow of memories. When it refused to come, he pressed harder, fitting Kaila into his body. Kiel nodded and tapped his sword to Tori's, "May I have this dance?" Genesis frowned, "Is something the matter, Giselle? You'd think a human girl like you would be more excited to learn about the existance of angels. Not that I'm anything speical...more like the opposite..."
Road to Luin Nick cleared his throat, shaking his head to clear away the fog the booze was creating, "Oh that. After Mrs. Balmore asked me to locate her Seth, and my Alpha asked if we could split the pack into two and live here...an old friend, I think his name was Timms...told me about your mother...or your Grandmother and that led to your mother and led to you and your sisters. I've no idea how he knew you three were going to be living here by the time I got here, but I took a chance on the first female that smelt like a wolf. Luckily...I was right." treehouse Valentine felt her blood flush to his cheeks and kissed her hard.
Luin Nick led Annie and Vickie away from the bar, steering clear of the groups coming to entertain themselves at the bar as night descended. "Tonight is the full moon...." he said quietly. treehouse Valentine lifted his head from her breast, licking blood from his lips, "Have I taken too much?" He rained warm kisses along the rest of her body in attempt to persuade her into a response.
Ren pulled her back into his embrace, "No...I don't think you'd do that. I think my subconscious is trying to tell me I know you very well. But I cannot confront Kyrios. He is my Seraph and I have to obey his orders. I don't want you to look like this. I would like to remember who I was...before." Kiel blanched, "I'm a little more nervous about these humans." Genesis lost his smile and examined her form, "Magic is what makes the world turn. It flows through our veins and sustains us as angels. It allows us to be the same being as you while we're on earth. Without magic...I would be mearly a shimmer of light to you."
Ren frowned, "What for? I...I remember kissing you other times...which doesn't make any sense unless Kyrios really stole my memories...which would be cruel of him." Genesis smiled for once as he watched her lodge arrow after arrow into the tree, and Kiel's shocked expression made it more enjoyable. "But you're doing wonderful. You needn't be afraid of making a mistake. With a bit of magic, things can be fixed."
The Broken Antler Nick nodded, resisting the urge to scoop Annie up like she had her sister. "Yeah. It was a good day while it lasted, right, Vickie?" He winked at the little girl and settled his hand on Annie's back to guide her past a few customers entering the bar. treehouse Peeling her shirt off, Valentine chucked it aside, resuming feeding and practically groping her.
Ren closed his eyes to her kiss, a few other images and memories of kisses just like this filled his head. But the mention of a late wife confused him. The most he got was a letter Y and black hair framing a pale face with sapphire eyes smiling at him with love. Why was there so much Kyrios had taken? Kiel's smile spread across his face and he lifted his sword, twirling it loosely in his hand. Genesis gave a tight lipped smile, "I promise he'll move. Plus...he could probably do with an arrow in his rear for a turn of events. Zadkiel will be fine. It's your unwillingness to release that I'm worried about."
The Broken Antler Nick drained his bottle and licked his lips, watching her. "The sun will be setting soon... We should get out of here while its still calm." He eyed the usuals waking up from their stupor on the floor and tables along with a few other ragged and torn men clomping into the bar. treehouse His head disappearing under her shirt, Valentine sank his fangs into her breast and fed from her, giving her hip a tight squeeze.
