The Dysel Card? Okay let me just make something clear using a example of Leo Arms as Dysel's equipped a monster effect is the same basis.

You can target 1 "Utopia" monster you control; equip this monster on the field to that target. It gains 3000 ATK. During your Battle Phase, if a monster attacked this turn while equipped with this card: You can send this Equip Card to the Graveyard; the monster that was equipped with this card can make a second attack, on an opponent's monster, during this Battle Phase

Now, when Leo Arms equips to Utopia, the materials get sent to the Graveyard cause, Overlay Units cannot be treated as material in the S/T, Card sliek Xyz Reborn etc can cause said card declares it can be attacehd as material, I use Leo Arms plenty of times and material hits the graveyard.

Now if it were Rank-Up Magic - Barian's Force on the other hand which states.

Target 1 face-up Xyz Monster you control; Special Summon from your Extra Deck, 1 "Number C" or "CXyz" monster with the same Type as that monster you control but 1 Rank higher, by using it as the Xyz Material. (This Special Summon is treated as an Xyz Summon. Xyz Materials attached to that target also become Xyz Materials on the Summoned monster.) Then, if possible, detach 1 Xyz Material from a monster your opponent controls and attach it to the Summoned monster as an Xyz Material.

Dysel is also a Effect monster who cannot possibily have Overlay Units, no exceptions

Actually, since she taken Utopia, the Material's get sent to the Graveyard, this is true since when i use Leo Arms and he has a Material left and I equip him to Utopia, teh Material gets sent to the Graveyard.
