Casey chuckled slightly. "You're cute you know."
Hermia followed close behind him. "Very lucky."
"At least you're fairly cheerful about this."
Hermia swung her legs around and slid of the bike. Quickly she wiped her face. "Actually I'd do worse then just slap him."
"I guess you could put it like that." Casey nodded.
"Most likely. I'd slap him too if I were her." "Yeah..." She said, reluctantly letting go of him.
Casey sighed heavily, deciding it was best to just come out and say it. They were going to find out sooner or later. "No Maddie... He isn't..."
"Looks like she didn't kill him, but boy does he have a red mark on his face." Ocean said tilting her head slightly. Hermia exhaled slowly and peacefully, her arms still around his waist.
"Well... He got a lot worse this morning..."
Ocean, who had settled down on the window sill in the living room, saw the bike pull up. "He's back again!" She called out to the rest of the house. "And it looks like he's got Hermia with him!" Hermia stayed holding onto him, even after the bike pulled to a stop.
Casey turned around and picked her up. "Ermm... Well... You know how Grandad hasn't been too well recently?"
"Y-Yeah..." She said quietly, nodding her head slightly.
"I think you should go back to sleep." Hermia giggled slightly.
"Okay." Casey nodded his head as he slowly let go of her.
Hermia hid her face in his back, she breathed in deeply. It was comforting and calming to be able to smell his scent again, to be so close to him again.
I've been learning to drive for a couple of months now :3 Tis scary ;-;
"You're welcome." She smiled.
Casey rubbed her back slightly and held her tighter.
"Okay..." She said quietly climbing on the back of his motor bike. Hermia wrapped her arms around his waist and sighed slightly, for a brief moment for the first time in six long years her heart stopped aching.
"Shaken up, and a little roughed up. But she'll be fine soon." Lake said, obviously still worried. Hermia quickly unwrapped the plaster and placed it over the cuts.
