"Y-yeah I know that... That is why I offered herbal remedies to, they help with pain. My mom used to run a medicine shop and I helped with it so I learned all about how to make these different remedies. I just have to find the right ingredients and-" "Ah, so you're well versed in being what we would call an apothecary where I come from. Curious." Calborn said, folding his arms and sitting up on the bed that he lay on. She has an impressive range of knowledge when it comes to healing. Most people don't bother with herbcraft and try to stick to what little options we have with magic. Perhaps we can find a use for those talents in the guild? I'll approach Evanora about investigating that possibility some time soon- Certainly after this situation is over and I can walk. It was always in good spirit Caliborn thought, that if you had a talent that you could contribute it to the guild sometimes. For example. he had an aptitude for hunting so he occasionally would go out to the wilds and hunt game, whatever he came across really and bring it back to the guild for a good meal. "You would be a good person to go out on missions where people are in danger, so you can use your talents to help them if they're injured. Not everyone likes magic, but they'll always accept the local herbalist's cures and remedies. There's a certain perceived omnipotence to them. To hear some people tell it, they'd say that people good with their herbal remedies can cure death itself!" Caliborn chuckled a little at the thought, but turned serious as Silvia's expression changed and she began to look sad, suggesting that she should go. "Sorry." "Perhaps I should just go." He looked at her in the eyes with the most gentle look that he could muster. "Don't worry Silvia. There's no need to leave if you don't wish to do so. You're certainly not bothering me nor Ander." He said softly. "If I may ask Silvia, would you be willing to use your talents with herbs to help the guild? It wouldn't be too stressful and not very often, but on occasion it might be useful- Perhaps something prepared for a certain mission that would require it?"
Dale stormed out the guild hall kicking open every door that had the misfortune to be in his way, trying to hide as best he could how upset he was. Why is she doing this to me? Why? I didn't hurt her? What's this for, all the times I teased her when we were younger? I thought we were well past all that! Why, why, why! He finally made it to his room and lucky for him too- He couldn't hold his tears back much longer. He swung the door open and slammed it so hard the echo of it could be heard from some distance away and the door cracked at the impact of it, shooting a line horizontally across the door. He walked over to his bed and punched the wall as hard as he could, making a dent and causing chips of paint to flick off and cover the ground. "Why won't you let me love you?" He demanded of the silence of the room around him. Naturally, it didn't answer. He flopped on to his bed and then let the tears flow out finally, letting them roll down his face as he stared at the ceiling. This is ****. After all this time, this is what she does to me? What do I have to do to show her that I love her and not hate me so much? What does she want from me? "I'm going to... I'll... I'll-" He wept. He let his body slump, going completely limp. "I'll make it up to you..." He then lay down and stared blankly at the plain ceiling, looking for some idea, some answer in the surface above, not that he found any. The air nor the walls ever seemed to provide answers for any questions other than silence and nothingness.
Dale's temper nearly flared right then with that comment of her's and the incessant prodding. He exhaled deeply, almost growling and inhaled just as loudly, clenching his fists. He closed his eyes to try and grab some measure of composure. Don't lose your temper this is Johanna! Doesn't matter if it's some stupid bloody guild guy but this is Johanna we're talking about Dale! He looked her in the eyes and with as level a voice as he could muster, he began to speak. "No Johanna I'm not here to start a fight." Dale started. He was suppressing the urge to do something rash, as best he could. Damn it Johanna why are you doing this? For that arrogant, stuck up twit of a wizard? For him? What did he ever do for you? "I'm trying to talk to you and have a nice conversation because you know what- I was worried about you getting hurt out there. I know you can look after yourself so don't even try that card on me, but I worry anyway- Because I care. And you know what, I come over, completely genuine and you tell me about starting fights sitting there oh so high and mighty on your high horse doing just that? And then you have to hurt me, embarrass me and then have no sympathy for the fact that he baited me into that too I might add. I just asked him a question and then he was the one that started being a dick about things, not me Johanna, it wasn't me that time! I didn't like the look of him, but I wasn't the one who started getting snappy and snarky." He just finished when he realised something- He'd raised his voice and was gesturing wildly, almost violently the whole time. He blinked, looked at her, looked at the ground and then back at her, before dropping his arms, turning and walking away. "**** it never mind. I'll see you whenever we go out to fight this Ezekiel guy." He said coldly and started to walk away from her, trying to force the sadness that was overtaking him back down. Why is she doing this to me? Why? I love her, and care about her and I just want to talk to her but she just won't let me... Maybe I should go find that person I brought in- No wait bad idea. Girl's dorms. Ah **** what do I do? Not letting the whole ****ing guild see this! No ****ing way!
"Good, glad to hear it." Dale said, frowning slightly. This isn't going well. She hasn't reacted like this very often. I don't remember the last time she was like this, maybe she hasn't been before at all. At his side, Dale's fingers on his right hand started moving as he fidgeted awkwardly. This is nowhere near what I'd hoped. At least nobody got seriously hurt though. "Is there... Something wrong?"
Caliborn couldn't help but notice Mikasa's reaction to putting his hand on her's. She looked a little embarrassed in truth. Why is she so embarrassed? Unless... He started to come to a conclusion about her. Something that would perhaps explain some of her behaviour towards him over the years that they had known each other. He had been trying to puzzle this out for a while but... No, she doesn't does she? If she does... That could be a problem. I should talk to her at some point to get this sorted but equally... I don't want to hurt her as a result of confronting this. Not yet. This isn't the time and I don't know for sure. However, he showed no signs of his internal thinking and simply smiled softly at her, despite her reaction. She would feel even worse if he didn't smile at her and truthfully, he was happy. He did like her. However, before the situation could develop, Silvia started talking. "Sorry you all got hurt so bad. Is there anything I can do to help? I am pretty good with my healing spell. Oh and I know plenty of herbal remedies to help with pain. I can just also you know get you food or something. Anything to help. I mean I want to help just tell me what to do. I don't mind, really believe me. I like to help." "Oops... Sorry." He was about to formulate a reply when all of a sudden, Mikasa's manoeuvre gear hissed and whirred at the twin steel spikes shot out and she flew away, fleeing the scene. He saw that just before she left her face went into that completely expressionless look that she had whenever she was irritated. He raised an eyebrow and watched her go, flying off to her perch that he knew perfectly well that she hid in whenever something like this happened. He wouldn't disturb her however, nor mention that he had noticed up there a couple of times over the past few years and later figured out by the holes that her gear left in the walls that she was going there. It wasn't common knowledge. Caliborn was confident that he was one of two people that could find her- The other being Evanora of course. He'd be truly surprised if there was something she didn't know. "Don't worry about it Silvia, Mikasa and I will be fine, although you appear to have startled her a little." Caliborn answered gently, careful not to sound too abrasive. He knew Silvia was sensitive at the best of times so he took the necessary cares to avoid hurting her feelings or setting her off. "Besides, I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but healing magic has it's limits. Right now, my body needs to heal itself a bit more before magic can help, otherwise Evanora would have helped us already. Ezekiel's attack was... Powerful. Thank you for offering though." Dale had walked away now, as he had nothing else to attend to with the guild master and besides... He wanted to find Johanna and make sure that she was okay. She had to be right? She wouldn't have got hurt out there... He hoped. Thinking about her reminded her of the disagreement that they had the other day. Damn it why did you have to do that Johanna? Why couldn't you just understand me? He felt more disappointed than he did angry. I don't want to be disappointed with her. I need to go find her, see if she's okay and then do something about that. Maybe even take the damn responsibility for what she did even if I don't believe it myself. It doesn't matter. If it fixes things with her then... Anything. With that, Dale looked around and waited. Sure enough she appeared and then spoke with Evanora. Okay, she's not doing anything right now. Now's the time to do something. Dale walked over to her, smiling at her the best he could. "Are you alright?" He asked. "How did it go out there?" "Um, thank you..." She replied confusedly as Ander came over, complimented her and then left as quick as he came. That was weird, what's with him? She watched him to see where he was going, but only to be more confused as he approached that new guy Leviathan, said something or another and then walked off. What is he doing? Is he just walking around aiming to say things to everyone in the guild but not actually have a conversation with them? She shook her head and looked around for Skadi. She seemed nice and well, Alessia was concerned for her. Everyone went out to fight... I hope Skadi didn't get hurt too much. We'll have to catch up when I find her... Alessia sat down, watched and waited for her to appear, getting a little bit more worried the longer she didn't show up.
Having not been there for the incident with the team killing, the not injuring each other mark went right over her head. I'll ask about it later. Clearly, nobody else wanted to talk. Zwei, Beucette and Sara were knocked out for most of it... Ren and that girl just showed up and that leaves me or Silvia, and she's too nervous to talk. She looked up at Evanora and smoothed down the front of her shirt out of a feeling of formality and that she should make herself look presentable when explaining to the guild master herself what had occurred. "Alastor appeared and challenged us after we fought some flying rocks and lasers. He seemed to want to learn about our magic, and when we defeated him he started talking about wanting our magic so that he could beat Ezekiel I think. And then, he apologised to someone called Keira. We didn't see anyone so, I guess it must be someone he knew." Alessia explained. She folded her hands over each other as she finished and looked around at everyone. "Is that it guys? I think so." I hope she's happy with us. We came back and alive and we beat Alastor, so I guess she will be right?
"Who is Keira...?" She asked, sheathing her weapon and watching Alastor collapse. She immediately felt something under the anger... She wasn't sure what it was. Sorrow? He had tried to kill them... Yet... Somehow... He seemed to want to defeat Ezekiel. But why? Why couldn't he have just joined them instead? Why did he need to hurt anyone...? If he wanted their magic so badly then if he hadn't attacked them then he could well have got it... She'd have been happy to show him what little she knew about air and healing magic, but he didn't give them a chance did he? She closed her eyes and sighed... Why so much needless hurting? She turned and walked away. It was all there was to do now. Maybe they could pick up Alastor later, but for now they needed to head back to Evanora to sort out what happened. She'd want to know undoubtedly and assuming that there were no other enemies, it would be time to face this Ezekiel soon- And they'd need the full power of the whole guild to face such an enemy that they were faced with.
Al exhaled and leaned back against the side of the ship, panting, letting the adrenaline wear down after that stressful fight after staggering his way out of the smoke and luckily avoiding a watery grave at a particularly slick and wet part of the deck- Suspiciously so in fact. Nevertheless, he was alive, and Nights was gone and never to come back. "Looks like I win huh?" Al said to himself and looking in the vague direction that their boat went. "I hope we don't have to fight again." He didn't like fighting all these people now, although there was a certain exhilaration from the triumph over his opponents so far, but it was far too dangerous to do on a regular basis. Now for Colleen... Al walked off in the direction that @cstar had gone in the hopes of finding her and ultimately succeeded... But there was no Calxiyn anywhere. "Colleen, where's Cal?" He asked.
This is really quite funny XDD Probably my favourite one they've ever done because well, it's just pure hilarity. Ah goodness I'm dying XDD
Al was thrown back backwards a little, the knife being yanked with a sickening noise out of @Nights™ body, just barely audible over the sound of the boat. He stumbled back a bit and saw his foe taking aim, though they were shaky and above all- Slow. He jumped to the side, slamming his left shoulder painfully into the side of the ship but luckily just narrowly evading the gunshot that could have given him a wound as damaging as the one he gave. Narrowing his eyes and smirking just slightly as Nights staggered back, the recoil of the weapon he held clearly too much for him in his weakened state, he charged. It didn't take too long to close the distance. He swiped at the gun with his left hand while sending another stab right for Nights' throat. A drop of blood fell from the blade revealing the silver edge which glinted in the dim light as it sliced through the air inexorably towards it's target...
You got Aqua! Smart and protective, you’d do anything for your friends. The only complaint I have is that I'm not female but other than that, I'll take it XD
Congrats libre! The purple looks fantastic on you! Wear it with pride :P
"Oh thank the Gods Johanna..." She gasped as the healing magic flowed through her, knitting together wounds she had taken in the fight and salving the burns she had received. That was just what she needed. She'd have to say thank you, but for now she had to find Alastor somewhere around here... There! Sure enough, there Alastor was, standing as obnoxiously prideful as ever. She narrowed her eyes, her protective instincts kicking in again. Despite Johanna's work, Beucette and Sara were down... I'll make you suffer for this! "Alaaassstorrr!" She shouted charging at him with sword held in both hands. She sprinted as fast as she could, dead set on ramming her sword straight through Alastor's chest. No mercy for him. No mercy for anyone that hurt her friends! Not going to hurt them again! Not going to hurt them ever again! Never! Never! Never!
"Damn it, come back here and fight!" Alessia shouted, frustrated and beaten down. This guy is tough... No wonder Ezekiel sent him after us... Poor Zwei. How are we going to win this? He's so powerful... Come on Alessia we can't afford to show fear now! That's just like letting him win! Don't give him the pleasure of seeing you squirm. She looked around frantically. No sign of Alastor yet. Where did he go? She looked at Zwei slowly burning, and her heart ached. She wanted to help, but she couldn't. They had to win this fast so they could help him. She hated seeing him down like that... Seeing anyone down like that... Suffering... Regretfully, she started to heal herself while she had the chance, waiting for Alastor to re-emerge from wherever he was hiding, the damn coward. He had to go down! He had to pay. For what he had done to Zwei, for what he was trying to do to her, to everyone. He needed to pay. She couldn't let Ezekiel's lapdog win like that, no way. I'll make you pay Alastor, I'll make you pay for every last inch of pain you inflict on my friends! I can't... I can't let you... I can't let him do it any more! No more hurting them! No more! "Come on guys we can beat him." Alessia said, trying to encourage everyone, but barely controlling her voice. As soon as she saw Alastor again... Alessia used Cure on herself
I also may be a little on the late side, but happy birthday Jayn! Hope it's all going well!
“Bloody hellfire, my head hasn’t hurt that bad since I last went out on the town.” Edric said, rubbing his head. He sat up, looking at the medical cot he found himself in. “Wow. That bad huh? I don’t even remember what happened does anyone else remember because I sure as hell don’t.” Groaning with the exertion, Edric pushed his legs off the bed and tried to stand up, the critical word being tried. Upon receiving the full, fairly extensive weight of Edric Storm, his legs gave out from underneath him and he collapsed face first on to the floor. “Ah bugger!” He exclaimed. He tried pushing himself up on to his feet again, but to no avail. “Er, can someone give me a hand here? I’m not quite strong enough to get up myself yet. And can ya bring me a beer while you’re at it!” Edric watched Mikasa with her maneuver gear and frowned. "Now that's just cheating." He grumbled. Caliborn watched Edric fall over like an idiot and chuckled a little bit at the sight. “Edric my friend, you should probably be a little more careful with yourself than that. We just faced a fairly powerful being, I’m amazed we’re all waking up this early.” Caliborn chided gently. Caliborn looked at the room speculatively. Impressive. He managed to take us all out. I’m amazed. Had he not caught us all off guard like that I believe we could have defeated him. I wonder how much of his energy it took… Hopefully a lot of it. If we’re lucky he wasted so much energy on us that our less powerful guild mates will have no problems taking him down. “Mikasa, I know you don't want to just sit there and do nothing, but we have to heal up and rest. You won't do any good going out there and getting yourself hurt.” Caliborn said in that quiet, calm voice of his, placing a comforting hand on her's. Everything was fine outside. It looked under control. As he watched, he observed Calxiyn's team returning, bringing with them Levi and Ander. He should probably tell Evanora about it, considering that they were heading back and everything looked fine out here. The team was handling things. Besides, Evanora could deal with Leviathan. As much as he'd like to do it himself, he remembered what he had said. It wasn't Levi's place to punish Ander's betrayal, and likewise it wasn't his place to punish Leviathan's bad behaviour. He'd rather get that sorted sooner rather than later after all. He walked back just behind them and arrived just after they got in through the door. He took a quick look back- He'd be out soon. Evanora had just finished asking them for a report. Good. As he approached, he noticed Mikasa gliding over and taking a seat on Caliborn's bed. Most interesting... He came over to Evanora and took a seat. "Evanora, the report is as follows. I'll need these guys to detail some of the incident I'm about to report because I didn't know what was said, or indeed the name of the attacker. From my vantage point, I watched them take down two waves of enemies in an efficient, reasonable style. They were then engaged by a female attacker, who appeared quite young. You may have seen me bringing her in earlier. If you want I'll show you where I put her. She arrived, and immediately Ander stood between the rest of the group and halted their efforts at attacking for reasons unknown. Then, Leviathan here took it upon himself to attack his own guildmate and knocked him out, only for the attacker to proceed to do the same to him shortly afterwards. Concerned for the safety of Amanda and Calxiyn and the success of the mission, I intervened severely wounding the enemy and allowed Amanda and Cal to finish her off, which they did. Following that, for reasons I won't discuss in present company I brought her inside for medical attention and potentially taking a new path." Dale recounted. He folded his arms and leaned back against the chair once he had finished the report.
Al noted that despite the fact that the deck was coated in a thin layer of water, it still hurt a lot to slide over the surface of it. He decided to ignore the friction burn he was receiving for the moment, to focus on the more important matter of the rapidly approaching @Nights™ . It was time for his incredibly risky plan to pay off. For while Nights had been focusing on the two incredibly poorly fired shots that whizzed past his head, he hadn't noticed that as he clutched the gun, he had also been holding the knife in his right hand. That could probably be blamed for his absolutely awful aim at the moment, since he didn't have a very good grip even holding it with two hands. He reached the apex of his slide perfectly, right next to Nights. With the last of his momentum in one fluid motion as the slide drew to it's end by Night's left side, he pushed himself up on to one knee, dropped his gun and slammed the knife upwards right towards Nights' heart...
"Good work. You two heal up, and maybe see if you can get those two idiots back on their feet. They may be useful yet." Dale ordered. He quickly looked around. Everything seemed under control. Good. That meant he could deal with the girl they had just knocked out. After he had hit her, she was in tears. It made him feel bad for her, especially hearing what she was saying. She's scared of their guild master. Is she lonely? The way she said that he won't want her around... It's like she needs a place to be. That knowledge hit him. Hard. He looked at her on the ground in her dress, slightly dirtied and singed by the battle. Maybe she's not so different to me. Maybe she's alone? Dale sighed. It was a shame she was on the wrong side. He felt a pang of regret for the cold hearted anger he showed her, but he squashed it quickly. I can't go through my life regretting everything. She would have hurt us. But only because she was scared, of Ezekiel, or of being alone, or both. Does that make her bad? She did what she had to do. As would I in her position... With the change of heart in mind, he sheathed his blade and put the staff on his back and walked over to the unconscious Thea, knelt down, and scooped her up in his arms. She was light, almost weightless. Dale turned and walked back to the guild. At least she'll be out of Ezekiel's clutches inside the guild hall. She won't be able to help him and maybe, maybe she'll decide to do something different. Change sides. Or just walk away. Something other than help that evil ******* attacking our guild. He set her down on one of the beds in the girl's dormitory. She'd wake up comfortable at least, and probably wouldn't want to move. Besides, with the beating she took she'd probably wake up when this whole business was over and it wouldn't matter anyway. Walking back outside, he caught sight of Evanora. "Evanora, I've taken one of the enemy mages in. It just seemed like she wasn't all that bad. I think she was scared of something, maybe Ezekiel I'm not sure. In any case, she's in one of the girls' rooms unconscious if you want to keep an eye on her. I doubt she'll wake up for a while, but just so you know. In any case, I'd best head out. I think we're going to win this, and I want to see it when we do." With that, Dale headed back outside. There. I've done something good for someone. I'm not all bad. I've proved that to myself already, now move on. We've got a job to do.
A bit later than everyone else, but welcome to KHV sir! I hope you enjoy your stay. I totally approve of your taste in games, especially the Mass Effect part. Excellent series. Out of curiosity, what anime do you like? I'm always looking for new stuff to watch to it'd be cool to hear what you're into.
Alessia eyed Alastor with an angry glare. He seemed so confident,, so arrogant. She immediately took a disliking to him, but he hadn't exactly been out to make a good impression. She was immediately worried. He was a powerful wizard, more powerful than any one of them present. Individually at least. As a group however... As a team they'd have a chance right? They had to beat him. Otherwise the guild would fail and fall... She had only just got here, and there was so much more that they had to do. There was no way Alessia was going to let that happen. He dared to offer them the chance to run away? Well... She would show him! They all would! "I won't turn and run from you Alastor! We'll make you regret the day you and your master dared challenge our guild!" Alessia said, stepping forwards with her sword in hand, trying her best to hide the worry she held. He was powerful and had already displayed it. Individually outmatched, but as a group perhaps combined they could achieve victory. She also felt distinctly unsure of the aura on that sword. Whatever the case, she had to fight, they had to fight. "We'll give you one chance. Leave, or you'll see just what we can do!" And with that final remark, she charged forwards with her blade held in both hands and swung with all her might. Alessia used Quick Blitz on Alastor
