Xardius handed Xane a phone. "Something must have happened to your agent, here, Xane. I think we should leave here and find a place to reorganize before heading to meet Vecked." He shrugged. "I'll follow your guys' leads. Maybe we should find Mellodia...or something..."
OOC: I'll see you guys later...gotta go, XD!
OOC: Blah...I'm not really in the mood right now to make major decisions... That and my computer keeps freezing on me... BIC: But Xardius was asleep.
"Ah, there you are, Nulix," Xardius said. "Yeah, it turned out to be some old guy. He checked his watch. "We have some time before we should head over to meet Vecked..." "Listen," Tera Roth said, turning to them. "You guys are on your own if you're going after the CG. If you persist, we'll have to fight you. See ya." The trio walked away, leaving Xardius scratching his head. "Ah, pills the beans," Xardius said. "Things'll work out in the end."
"Well, mutilating pawns won't help any," Xardius said, frowning at his fellow members. "WHY YOU...!" Tyre growled, and started after Vecked, but Highwind stopped him with a hand on his shoulder. "That's enough," Highwind said in a monotone. "You're making me...hungry." "Er, sorry, man," Tyre said, scratching his head. "Looks like we're on our own." "HEY GUYS!" Tera Roth said, popping up from behind a tree where he'd been hiding.
Xardius simply punched people as they ran at him. "Too easy," he muttered. Tyre looked down. "I don't know about all of that...What I do know...Vecked...is that I stand with the CG. And if you try to take them down..." He pointed at Vecked, and snarled, "I'll kill you!"
Xardius looked between the two, put his hands up, and said, "I'm staying out of this. I'm gonna kill Dai Jee, have fun." Tyre's eyes narrowed. "Oh...really?" Tera Roth looked over his shoulder at Tyre. "Tyre...Take it easy, man, we can stop him later..." "No deal," Tyre said. "We settle this now...I know, personally, why the CG leaders were incapable of stopping this war...But I'm not at liberty to say. Either trust me, or I'll make sure you don't even get near my commanders." Tera Roth snuck quietly after Xardius, while Highwind simply stated, "Don't forget about the Dai Jee," before walking away.
OOC: Darn computer keeps freezing. BIC: "Wait a second, the leaders of the CG?" Xardius said, scratching his head. "Um, actually, they're not telling the UPA what to do...They're in control of the EK, right Tera?" Tera nodded. "Correct. I take my orders directly from them, and it was, actually, to come and help the UO end the war...Tyre, do you remember who was in charge of the UPA?" Tyre coughed. "Yes...It was a special branch of the CG, but not actually part of it...Let me explain: HEAD OF CG | Other divisions including Enigmatic Knights - (Not under direct authority) UPA "This was due to the fact that the UPA was actually founded by an unknown personage that we now believe to be the Brotherhood member known as Azull. It makes little difference, now, as the Brotherhood has disappeared, but they left a heck of a mess, considering that the UPA is now running amock, and the CG can't control them. Except through brute force, which at the moment, the CG leaders don't really have." "And that explains it," Tyre said, shrugging.
Xardius smacked a fist into his palm. "Sounds good, just tell me what to do," he said. "We're in, too!" Tyre said as he dropped down from a building, followed by Tera Roth and Highwind (they'd been hiding behind a chimney, XD).
Xardius folded his arms and cocked an eyebrow.
The old man shrieked...and fell over dead. Xardius sheathed his swords. "Heh, simple as that." He walked over to the old man. "Huh?" He traced a symbol on the man's forehead. "Hmph, demon marks...This guy...must have been involved with the Brotherhood." "That means," he said, standing up. "That the Brotherhood was here...But why?"
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" the creature roared. "All mortals bow before me!" "Who do you think you are, the Grim Reaper?" Xardius grunted. "You may be strong, but you're just no match for us." "HAHAHAHA! Your wounds are proof enough," the monster howled. "Yeah, well, we've fought harder battles," Xardius growled. "And we've taken 'em all down. And you're no exception..." Summoning his power, he let loose a chain of light slashes that buried themselves into the monster, slicing away the armor and goo and revealing nothing but a skinny old guy. "WHAAAAAAAT!?" it roared. "Now!" Xardius yelled at his allies. "Hit him with everything you've got!"
OOC: All righty, you two. BIC: Xardius swept by Bellatrix, skimming the ground. The sword smashed downwards, but Darius leaped on it, continuing to skim, flipped over the spear slash, and with a roar of "Dual Dragons!" smashed both swords downwards on the creature's head with a double-bladed slash across the eyes. A second later, he was sprawling on the ground. Getting up, he rubbed the back of his head. "Ow, that hurt," he grunted, as the creature fired a shot at him. Deftly, Xardius dodged, and charged again, this time not as quickly, and more carefully. "It's time for our duel, dragons," he muttered, as he spun, twisted, and ducked under the monster's tremendous blows.
Xardius stood up and brushed himself off. "Was that...Vecked? Hmph." Running back onto the field, he rushed past the monster, his Cleaving Dragon rushing out at the creature's knee, managing to cleave a very shallow furrow, before he was smacked into another wall and shot through it with the rifle. Getting up, he rubbed his chest where the shot had hit him. "If I take another shot like that, this guy might actually blow a hole right through me, instead of cracking ribs." Gritting his teeth, he swept out Cutting Dragon and walked back into the battlefield.
OOC: Oh, and about the handguns, Xardius really doesn't use them that much. They're only stun guns anyway, and he only uses those because he's kind of tired of having to kill everyone he fights. He'll still mostly use his swords however, as his guns aren't all that effective. And since no one else is here, besides Nul and Hidden, and I'm not sure what you guys are going to do with the fight, I might kill this guy for everyone. It'd be nice if you joined in, though, XD. BIC: Xardius leapt out from the building within seconds and slammed a fire punch into the gut of the monster, which was about a foot taller than him. With a slurp, his hand sucked in. Xardius gritted his teeth as pain spiked through his arm, and he slowly began sliding into the monster. "Come now, can't you do better?" the monster hissed, bringing the spear around with a wicked slash. Xardius grunted, and with tremendous effort, ripped his hand free, taking sizzling goo with him. Glancing at his hand, he shook the goo off, and assumed a fighting position. "No mortal can destroy me!" the monster roared, slamming the scythe down. Xardius leaped upwards, landing on the scythe as it blew at him. "Idiot..." The scythe carried him up and away, throwing him into another building...
"...So...what!?" Xardius finally growled. The beings looked at each other, then as one, turned and walked into each other. "If...you...wish...to...pass...you...must...first...depart...from...the...world..." The beings merged together, slurping together in a rather unsightly and unpleasant way. "...of...the..." A being of purple mass and shadow, decked with glowing red-veined armor, a massive rifle in one hand, equipped with a long blade on the other end, and in the other hand, a scythe with a spear butt end. "LIVING!" it roared, and charged. Xardius was the first to react, his guns a blur as he fired out his entire round from the semi-automatic chamber into the monster's bulbous head. With a slurp, the thing ate the rounds, not even slowing down, slamming the sword down at Xardius with the crack of thunder. Xardius stepped aside, but was blown back through a building from the shock wave.
OOC: Well....the reason is... BIC: Xardius looked at Xane. "I think we're about to find out..." Out from the buildings stepped being stooped in shadow... "Oblivion awaits you all," one of the beings said. "We are the guardians of the truth of this place...No one passes...alive that is..." "Don't push your luck," Xardius said, flipping out his two black handguns. "Do you know who we are?" "The Ultimate Organization, of course," the being laughed in a weird sort of hiss. "But you think that mortal beings can truly defeat us?"
Continuing onwards, Xardius felt the hairs on his neck begin to stand up. "I think we're being watched," he said, looking around. "Hmph, obviously whatever's watching us is too stupid to realize that they have no chance against me..." Grumbling to himself, Xardius stalked on...
EDIT: Since no one posted after me, I'll move on to the next step. BIC: Xardius followed Nulix, examining buildings as he went. "This city, for being a bit over a hundred years old, is in remarkably good shape," he grunted. "No noticeable deterioration or anything..." He walked towards a building and looked inside. "There's still food on the table...but it's...not rotten..." He backed up, scratching his head. "I've suddenly got a bad feeling..."
"I'm not sure I'm supposed to find anything, actually," Xardius said. "More of do something...But maybe I need to find something..." He faltered off into mumbling, then looked up. "I think the key to victory is here," Xardius said. "Or at least the first clue." He pointed at the circle of buildings in the center of the city. "That's where the power is being collected. I suggest we start there."
