Jasper shooved his pocket knife in his bag. "Encalla, you know things we don't and if we're all in this, you need to fill us in."

He frowned at Dmitriy and narrowed his eyes at Encalla. "There must be some way to stop these things. We'll never figure it out if we don't fight back." His eyes followed the trail the creature had left. "Perhaps now is not the time, but we can't always put off the fight." He crossed his arms over his chest. "We'll warn the next town and send messangers to do the rest. Then we can set out and find a way to finish it."
