"Let's see if we get ourselves a gummi," Xardius said, walking back towards the EK camp. "Then we head for the next world. The Brotherhood is probably in charge of every, or nearly every world, and the local world leaders are sure to point us towards their main base." "The thing is, however," Xardius said as the group followed him. "The Brotherhood is invincible without their weaknesses. And I mean, invincible. There's absolutely no way to defeat them. So, we might be able to fight them off, but it's going to man-slaughter if we don't learn their weaknesses." "Which is why I took the liberty of calling a member of the Libarian High Council here," Sora said, walking up towards the UO. "He has the ability to discern weaknesses." "Good morning, er, evening," the Libarian said, bowing slightly. "People call me...Enigma. I don't really have a name." He frowned at Xardius for a second as he scanned the rest of the group. "If you're looking for a gummi," Sora continued. "Don't bother. Gummi's don't work here. You have to use a special kind of material known as illium. It's the exact opposite in chemical nature, but it works the same. We only have three ships, so...try not to trash the one you choose."
Xardius looked down for a second, then muttered, "Thank you Wing. I'll try to remember that." It's just like what he said in the dream too, Xardius thought to himself. Right before he... Xardius clenched a fist. Hmph, that ain't gonna happen. Maybe that was real. Maybe it wasn't. But either way...it's not going to happen this time. "I won't forgive you if any of you die," Xardius said. "So don't you dare. By the way, has anyone checked their cell? It's 12 noon in the light side, but here...it's midnight."
"Yeah, Nulix," Xardius said. "You're right. Besides, why try to be anything but what I am?" Standing up, Xardius twisted to face Wing and Nulix. "So. First up, we get up into space. Second, we find the Brotherhoods' weaknesses and hideouts. Third, we crush them."
OOC: No, go ahead. BIC: Xardius shook his head. "You always know, you know that?" Xardius said. "Every time I'd get moody, frustrated, or whatever, you'd know...I guess it's your wind powers...or twilight...It doesn't really matter." "Listen, Wing," Xardius said. "When all this is over...I honestly don't know. I thought I knew...but my heart's just the opposite of yours. Things I'd shoved into darkness are coming to light...and I don't know how I feel about them..." "Memories...of different times...places..." Xardius punched the tree next to him. "Then there are the dreams...and they're worse than the memories...because in them...I don't even know what's real. I...I've never been afraid of anything...There's never been anything I can't conquer..." He placed a hand over his heart. "Except in here. I'm fighting a losing battle. So when I think of the future...It's just like a black hole, sucking me in. All I see is Scourge." "When I look back at the time we spent together, I can honestly say Wing...you probably remember things better than I do...But there's the dreams. And the past lives..." Xardius said. "I don't think this is the first time we've been friends...but I don't know." Xardius turned away from Wing, and placed his brow against the tree. "It just pisses me off......Knowing that......in the end.......being a Phoenix......living through all the wars, all the pain, all the battles..." Weakly he punched the tree again. "The diehard lesson of anyone who's ever been stupid enough to ask for immortality...It's not happiness...You can't be happy............I...I can't...be happy..." His voice trailed off and he slumped to his knees. "You won't be around forever, Wing," Xardius said. "One day, you'll die. You'll die and I'll be alone...like I have been...like I was..." "Is it real? Is any of it real?" Xardius whispered into the night. "My life...Do I really live at all?"
Xardius slumped against a nearby tree, listening to Nulix's and Wing's conversation. He looked up at the dimming sky, and sighed. Wing, you're more versatile than you think... Xardius thought to himself. After all, I know you better than you know me...you don't even remember it all...How could you? Xardius closed his eyes. As for me...My future... Silently, Xardius closed the thought train, turned, and stalked off into the twilight.
OOC: I don't know what to post right now...Let's try to meet up later tonight. I'll be in a more plot mode then.
OOC: Yeah, well, I've been here, but since no one posted after me...y'know... BIC: Xardius pulled out a photo album and began looking at pictures of hot girls he'd met...yes, he's a guy...
OOC: Well, this is a cheery bunch of coconuts. Where is everyone?
OOC: Shivers down the spine Nulix... The Enigmatic Knights had always been considered as overrated. After all, they had just been: "gather as many keyblade users as was possible", and keyblade users weren't always as powerful as they claimed. Often times, they had less power than the Nobodies and Heartless they were supposed to be guarding against. The differing divisions were proof of that: Division 1 to 9, in order of power of keyblade users. Division 9 - Special Forces. Darryl von Kartte Tera-Roth's division. Division 8 - Offense. Highwind's division. Sora, before leaving, had understood the fact that the Enigmatic Knights was needed elsewhere. Leaving Josh Tirode and Maggie Verox in charge of the other divisions to clean up the light worlds, he took only two divisions with him: 8 and 9. Divisions 8 and 9 held less keyblade users than any other divisions, numbering only two thousand between both divisions. These two divisions were outnumbered a hundred to one: it was only logical that the twenty thousand Brotherhood members bearing down on the surprised Enigmatic Knights would push back the small force. By the time the UO showed up, the Enigmatic Knights were surrounded. Bodies littered the battlefield. But none of them were Enigmatic Knights. One injury was the tally so far, and it was a sprained ankle from the walk to the camp. Only two thousand members. Any more would have been a massacre. Within the first 10 minutes, the Brotherhood's army had been halved. Then Xardius hit them from behind. The next 3 minutes would have been total horror for the Brotherhood, if they'd had any emotion. By the time the 3 minutes was over, every single Brotherhood man was dead or dying. The Enigmatic Knights were always considered overrated. But that was because anyone who'd ever met division 8 or 9 had died.
OOC: I'll try not to do anything too very important while you're busy having fun on your two-week long trip. BIC: Xardius sighed. "Whatever. I don't really care all that much." Pushing through some brush, he suddenly stopped, staring at the carnage spread before him. In front of them, the Enigmatic Knight's swords and keyblades flashed and bashed against black-armored copies of them, ruthlessly pushing forward. "Brotherhood," Xardius said, grabbing a crystal from his belt and summoning Chomper. "Just like before."
Xegreny, you're a horrible person. You almost had me believe you were leaving for good. But have a fun, safe trip, and tell me all about it when you get back.
OOC: Check Obsidian Sky for my schedule; it'll help. BIC: Xardius shook his head. "That balance theory might apply in some aspects, but there are some areas where it just doesn't apply. For example: Nobodies. And Heartless. Both seem to lie outside the district of balance, so I've come to the theory that it's not so much a balancing act of light and dark; it's a power struggle. Whether you're dark or light doesn't matter; it's your power level." Xardius grabbed a stick and sketched a quick circle. "Let's say this represents the total power available in the 'pool of power'," Xardius said, smiling slightly. "Everyone is born with a certain percentage, and then there is their 'ability', or where they can grow to. Mostly everyone is born with the same percentage of power, but their ability level is always different." "Kingdom Hearts gave birth to every heart...in a way," Xardius continued. "That means that there isn't anything in this universe that can have more power than Kingdom Hearts. Now, for round two: Power is also a balance, because people with strong power balance people with weak power, or vice versa, depending on your viewpoint. So there you are. There's my theory." Xardius sighed. "Of course, it's still rough. I don't even fit into the equation, because I can't find anyone as weak as I am strong..."
OOC: OK, so here's the deal - Tonight, I can be on, if anyone gets on. Tomorrow night, I'll be on a campout. Saturday I can probably get on. The whole next week up to next Sunday is fine. But then I'm leaving to Scout Camp for the entire week, so don't expect me back until the next, next Sunday. Here's a diagram to help, XD Thursday Here Friday Not Here Saturday Here Sunday Here Monday Here Tuesday Might be Wednesday Here Thursday Here Friday Here Saturday Here Sunday Here Monday Not Here Tuesday Not Here Wednesday Not Here Thursday Not Here Friday Not Here Saturday Not Here Sunday Here BIC: Tera Roth frowned. "Good question, I'll ask." Turning to a random person, he asked, "Good morning, do I know you?" "No," the man said. "But you waved, so I waved back." Tera Roth smiled and thanked him, then kept walking. And waving.
OOC: Sorry, guys, from now on don't expect me here on Teusdays. And I might not be here tomorrow. This has been a repeated OOC from the UO2 thread to the OS thread. BIC: Tera Roth led the group down the winding streets, pointing out highlights along the way, and waving hello to nearly everyone on the streets, who smiled and waved hello to him left and right.
OOC: OK, from now on, don't really expect me here on Teusdays...and I might not be here tomorrow. I'm not sure. Check at the normal time. Xardius shook his head. "I know there's more than thirteen...probably more than twenty...and pound for pound, they're more powerful than the rest of us." Xardius sighed. "And our enemy's enemy is our friend, or so it goes. Still, don't let your guard down..."
OOC: Well, that's all right, Wing... BIC: As the beast disappeared underneath Xegreny's volley, Xardius rubbed his head. "This is ridiculous. We need to rendezvous with the others." OOC: Post #2222!!!!!
OOC: Sorry gotta go. Tera Roth grabbed a small package and snickered to himself. "It's to the north...I'll lead you there."
OOC: My internet had a hiccup. BIC: "Well," Tera Roth said, "how about that one assignment...um, Soul Knights..." "While you think, how about delivering those packages for me?" Janet asked, sipping a soda and motioning to several large crates full of large packages. "They're to go the cafe in Sector 4." Tera Roth looked to the group. "What do you think?"
OOC: Sorry, my internet clogged itself. BIC: Xardius snorted. "Sure, Nulix, but where are they? They might attack us firsthand, but..." "You mean like this?" Azull asked, stepping out from a nearby tree. "Illusions are wonderful, aren't they? Always projecting on the 'what if' in life; for example, what if I attacked you right now...well, I'd be here wouldn't I? What if, I were to say, go to Kingdom Hearts and fight the Ultimate Organization, while I am in reality busy elsewhere. The answer: pure illusion." "Don't get cocky, Nulix," Azull smirked. "After all, I am the most skilled of all the Brotherhood at trickery and deception...So, let's see, what if I were to do this..." The earth rippled as a massive behemoth leaped upwards. "Have fun playing, my pet," Azull muttered as he disappeared.
"Tera, these friends of yours?" the woman at the counter asked. "Yeah, here's Alex, Niles, and Roxanne," Tera Roth said. "This here's Janet; she runs all the paperwork. Anyway, so what brings all of you here? Osidia?"
