BIC: Xardius smiled. "I did miss you, actually...So, let's get going."

Stepping into the fog, Xardius frowned at the dense mist around him. "How are we going to find our way back?"

"I have a device with me that will allow us to find our way back," Enigma said. "Just don't let me get dragged off and eaten, or there it goes. Think of it as incentive."

"Yeah, no worries," Xardius grinned. "Besides, it'd be a mess to go through the bowels of the monster."

OOC: And I posted last so I couldn't respond...:(

I'm playing Final Fantasy 12 for the first time. It's awesome.

Everyone try and get on tomorrow.

OOC: I got the notice from Hidden saying she'll be joining us soon. We might have to move the meet time to a lower time to get other people here, because Hidden isn't the only one who can only come on at a lower time. For now, I think 5:00 CST is fine, but we might need to switch it down to 3:00.

"I'm guessing the cave," Enigma said. "Whatever drove them there didn't kill them."

"I'll take your word on that," Xardius said. "Where's the cave?"

Enigma pulled out a small compass, and pointed in a northeasterly direction. "That way, about a mile."

Xardius nodded. "Let's get going then. Everyone stick together. Me and Nulix will handle anything, unless you'd like to 'join in.'"

OOC: That means that everyone's with us, but unless you come online, it'll make sense for you not to participate in battles.

BIC: Xardius started forward. "I'll go first. Nulix, watch behind us."

Enigma pulled out a small revolver. "I'll watch from the sidelines thank you. I'm not really a fighter."

OOC: I'll trust your judgment on humor. It's not my strong point.

BIC: Xardius snorted as he stepped out of the gummi ship into the mist. Feeling the goosebumps rise on his arms as the cold mist touched him, he shrugged his shoulders and scanned the area, listening and watching for any sign of movement.

"Either our landing scared off the wildlife, or it drew them to us," Xardius said. "Enigma?"

"The pilot muttered something about a cave, which I'm guessing is where they took shelter," Enigma said. "But, unfortunately, he didn't say what they were sheltering from. Again, I'm only supposing, but I'm guessing it was some kind of animal."

Xardius growled. "Why do I get the feeling that the only kind of animal important on this planet is carnivorous?"

"Cheer up," Enigma chuckled. "They could be omnivorous."

"I guess so," Xardius said, finishing the landing cycle. "That was a smooth landing."

"You'll find it a bit harder getting back up," Enigma said. "The mist was drawing us in like tentacles to a maw."

Xardius shuddered. "Yeesh. I'll go first."

"Light a fire to burn the mist away," Enigma said. "The last squad that landed here went out empty-handed...the only one who came back was missing a few pieces."

Xardius gave him an exasperated smile. "Thanks, I'll remember that."

He stepped out, pulling out Chomper as he did.

    OOC: Sorry, XD.

"You'd be surprised what the Brotherhood is interested in," Enigma said. "Remember this: everything is complete mirror images of what it's supposed to be...The Pride Lands here are...a bit different, and much darker than the ones back home."

"Besides," he said as the world pulled into view, covered in thick mist, "if there's no human life on a world, there's no one to complain against genetic engineering...in the form of a monster army..."

Xardius looked awry at Enigma. "How do you know so much?"

Enigma hesitated. "It's not just flaws I see...it's possibilities...Plus, I haven't been idle on Libary. I've been working on theories of exactly what the Brotherhood is doing back here."

OOC: Sorry, I needed to talk to someone. But I'm online now, so whoever's online can do stuff with me, I guess. If not, meet here tomorrow at your respective times. Thanks a lot!

BIC: Xardius slowly maneuvered around a large spinning asteroid. "Nice to have you back old man. Stick around this time, eh?"

He turned back to the viewscreen and frowned. "So where's the nearest world?"

"If the dark side of the worlds is a mirror image to the light side," Enigma said, stepping up and pulling up the map, "then the world here should be the mirror image of the Pride Lands. Worth checking out at least."

"I guess so," Xardius said, remembering the last of two times he'd ever visited there with distaste. "As long as I don't have to turn into another freakin' lion."

OOC: All right, here's people's schedules that I have so far: Nulix can be on at 5:00 pm CST, 6:00 pm MST, 7:00 pm PST, and 4:00 pm EST. Pirate can be on at about 4:00 pm CST to 5:30 pm CST, and then 7:00 pm CST to when he decides he needs sleep. I'm available after 8:00 am CST to 9:00 pm CST (I think.) Of course, I can only be on for about 3 to 4 hours every day inbetween those times.

I'm waiting for other people to PM me back, but it looks like so far the meet time is 5:00 CST and on.

OOC: Enigma shrugged. "It's no big deal...Darxess?"

"He's still alive!?" Xardius said, twisting to stare at the rather old Nobody by now. "Haven't seen you in forever!"

"This is the main form of transportation here," Enigma said, settling into a chair as the rest of the UO filed on and Xardius started the coughing engine, slowly lifting off the planet.

"Unfortunately, just like in days past, you'll find that the ilium ship technology is somewhat primitive, making this ship less than worthy for any space-faring battles. That is why only experienced magic users are allowed to even come near these, because defensive magic is constantly in order to keep the ship from falling apart, much less from getting blown to bits by asteroids, meteors, and/or Heartless ships, which you might find quite interesting, given that the Heartless here are pure white, and the Nobodies are black," Enigma concluded.

OOC: It's Wing! I haven't "seen" you in a while...

BIC: "It's because the temporal balance between light and dark isn't set at the same calibration as it is in the light worlds, forcing the twilight to work at a slightly darker level that a light denizen such as yourself would find it nearly impossible to make a stable twilight portal that would actually go to the destination you wanted," Enigma said.

    Xardius shrugged. "Yeah, whatever."

OOC: Yeah, you were here too, Pirate. Thanks.

BIC: Enigma spoke up. "Fortunately for you, there are different kinds of weaknesses. The Brotherhood are completely invincible except for one small weakness which can be exploited through your power and my insight. Your weaknesses are different: they are weaknesses, true, but you can overcome them. The Brotherhood gave up the ability to overcome their weaknesses in exchange for their massive amounts of power."

"That's limited in its options, but it has its uses," Enigma finished. "Don't worry. The Brotherhood can't exploit your weaknesses the same as we are going to exploit theirs."

Xardius whistled. "Those are nice ships..."

"Nice to look at, but we can hardly get them running," Enigma muttered. "If it wasn't the only form of transportation here, other than twilight portals which are extremely dangerous to try and use, we would have junked them long ago. I'd choose the small fighter, leave the bigger transports for the EK."

Xardius climbed in the gunner ship, and looked around. "Ancient...I think I could probably rework this to work better, but...Don't have time."

"Trust me," Enigma said, climbing in after him, "you'll have plenty of time during the flight. C'mon, powerhouses, get in gear."

OOC: Wow, good job Wing and Nulix for keeping this one up. Well, I'm back! And I'm pumped for some UO action!!!

I'm going to email everyone and get their schedules...and then I'm going to get you guys to commit to being here. This is pretty lame all in all, with half of our "regular" members being gone.

"My parents didn't name me Enigma," Enigma said. "My friends did. I'm one of those sob stories that don't remember their parents, or even their own name. So blame my friends if you're going to blame anyone."

Xardius frowned. "Sora didn't tell me where the ships were..."

"This way," Enigma sighed. "Anyway, I came here to chronicle this all, but found out someone was already doing that...So, Sora asked me if I would utilize my powers to help you. You see, I see people, things, events...all like a crystal, with flaws and fractures that spiral to a point where they can shatter...or become completely whole. Basically, I know how to manipulate a battle so that the opposing forces will shatter completely."

"In people's terms, I can simply see their weaknesses...I like to call them fracture points," Enigma said. "I know exactly what will push you to the breaking point...or my enemies. No one is a perfect crystal. No one. Not even you Xardius."

"I didn't say anything!" Xardius grumbled.

    OOC: Gotta go.

"If that's your problem," Sora said. "No worries. I'm not coming. I got a call from Riku, and I'm heading over to rendezvous with him. The only guy going with you is Enigma. The guard for the illium ships is already prepped to let you have one, so go ahead and take one. I'll see you guys around."

    Sora turned and walked away.

Enigma stood staring at Xardius, a strange expression on his face.

OOC: Hey, so we pushed back the leaving date to Teusday, so I'll be back. Hopefully I won't get eaten by a bear...There have been "bear sightings" in the area, which means they're practically walking through the camp. And the guy I'm supposedly camping with...likes his snacks...in the tent...I don't think I'm letting him in...

Xardius rapped Nulix on the head. "You should probably use your brain for something more productive than proving that Sora's an idiot. It's like proving 2+2=4. It's elementary."

OOC: You have no idea, Novice...

BIC: Enigma stared at Xane for a moment, then coughed into his hand, obviously hiding a laugh...

Sora sighed. "I'm never going to live this one down...You'd think after I saved the worlds not just once, but twice...actually, it was three times, or maybe four...people would treat me with more respect...but instead, I get mocked, hated, and kicked around for stepping into the stage late..."

"I mean, does the US of A get smacked around for entering World War 2 late? No, they became a world superpower...Sheesh," Sora muttered to himself.
