Enigma sighed, pulled out his gun, and shot the lightning-chain eccentric in the head. The man reeled back but the chains protecting him kept him from getting wounded too badly. However, it did manage to distract him for a bit.

"I'll cover you Darxess," Enigma said wearily.

"It's the Dark side Coliseum," Xardius growled. "How do you know if it's lame if you've never been there!?"

OOC: :( Boo hoo, my life's wasted...

BIC: Xardius sighed. "Whatever. It says we need to go to the dark Coliseum to get Orb back. We're going to be playing a bit of a game."

OOC: Can't you read the big long post that took a lot of effort and brains to put out???

BIC: Xardius considered the above statement for a moment, then summed up, "Can't you read?"

"Enigma here is showing us that he's got a brain the size of a watermelon," Xardius said, handing Nulix the note left by the kidnapper. Enigma flushed and looked embarrassed.

Xardius nodded to Wing. "I'll leave this one to you then."

    Wing nodded and jumped in.

OOC: You were about to anyway.

BIC: "There's your time Darxess, get cracking," Xardius said, already moving back to where Orb's kidnapping had taken place. In his brain, he wondered if kidnapping really applied to a machine.

Enigma saw him and moved over to him. "What happened?"

"Orb got, uh, kidnapped," Xardius said, snapping out of his reverie. "Unfortunately, we don't know who took him or where...or anything."

Enigma sighed. "Well. I didn't expect them to try this. Let's see..." He peered at the ground and nodded. "All right, I can tell you the man was about 6 feet in height, weight about 170, and came out of a twilight portal."

Xardius raised an eyebrow, and Enigma smiled slightly, taking the time to elaborate. "Well, the height and weight is easy, due to the size of stride, and the indentation of the prints. As I was walking over here, I noted the firmness and viscosity of the sand, and I don't know very many women six feet in height, weighing 170 pounds. Now, the twilight portal is, of course, from what the portal did to the sand. Contrary to people's beliefs, twilight, dark, and light portals all have a different impact on the ground. On pavement it's a lot harder, but here it's easy: I've already studied what the three portals do on the same substance, and I can assure you that the crystallization structure of where the portal opened is from twilight."

    Xardius whistled slightly. Enigma shrugged.

"Of course, that's not all. I can also assume that the man was waiting from another point, as it is strategically unlikely he was waiting here for Orb to land here, unless he can see into the future, which is of course, always moving and would make it highly unstable to count your odds by waiting by a tree which probably had a 0.1% or less chance of Orb landing there," Enigma continued. "So, let's take a look around, now that the mist has almost completely lifted, and pick out points he'd have a good vantage point of the area and be able to abduct Orb from. At the moment, we'll assume that he didn't instigate the fight, and that it was sheer luck that he was able to nab Orb in the middle of a chaotic battle."

Xardius shrugged. "Well, let's see: those rocks over there look nice."

"In which case, he would have been there before he teleported here," Enigma said. "Leaving a trace of his presence, perhaps some other clue other than his footprints."

Following Enigma behind the rock, he stopped as he saw Enigma on the ground. "Well, he was here, good eye Xardius. I'm guessing if he wasn't expecting the battle he was following you in stages, dropping onto concealed areas like this, making it likely he had a good idea of the area. Possibly he wanted to take Orb in the confusion of the mist, but with it burning up like this, he would have had to wait. So he decided on simply waiting for his chance. Perhaps he had some means to stun Orb."

Enigma looked around. "And he's left us a clue."

Picking up the paper on the ground, he read it aloud, "I've taken your ball, obviously, Darxess. If you want it back, you'll come to the dark side's Olympus Coliseum, and have a little game with me."

"Sounds like when Tera Roth ran us a competition," Xardius grumbled. "So, what?"

"He wanted us to know, that's what," Enigma said calmly, handing the paper to Xardius. "He had a woman write that, unless he is a six foot tall, 170 pound woman." Enigma frowned, then cleared his throat.

"I'll just trust you on that," Xardius said. "So now we know where he's gone but still not what he wants."

    Enigma shrugged. "Probably a trap."

Xardius smiled. "The best thing to do with traps? Spring them."

OOC: The only reason we postponed was so you could get back to move things along, so yes, let's continue if you're ready.

BIC: Xardius shrugged. "Use fire to melt the chains. You're the 'Alchemist', right? See if you can combine the lightning he uses along the chains and your fire to create the legendary spell Flare, alright? I only did it once, and let me tell you...that should kill him."

Enigma shook his head. "I'm not sure...I've never encountered someone like this before...He might be one of their experiments on this world. Since it's here, hostile, I say kill it, but don't destroy the body so I can study it later."

OOC: OK, so I say we put this on hold until tomorrow, so we can follow Jaxed's side plot.

"Crap," Xardius said. "Orb has everything about us...He's worse than Enigma."

Enigma, conveniently, at this point, showed up. "Sorry it took me so long to get here...I'm not as fast as you blokes."

    OOC: See ya Wing.

BIC: Xardius grabbed the "Orb" and examined it. "No, it's a melon. See, look?"

He released the fireball into the desert where it exploded spectacularly, and split open the fruit.

Confused, he walked back over to the clump of bushes and looked around.

"A portal...footprints...and a melon," Xardius said, looking at the recent tracks. He grunted. "Some one just kidnapped Orb. Great. There goes our lives."

"Honestly, I think Darxess can take him," Xardius said, summoning a fireball the size of the ilium ship that had just been destroyed. "But if things go badly..."

The electric chain-mail fence man paused for a second, as if he were recharging...

"I'm mad," Xardius said, standing up and walking back towards the newly formed lightning storm.

"Hey, Darxess," Xardius yelled, looking back. "Don't bring Orb near the lightning...it might fry his circuits, if you get my drift."

"So, how we going to crack this guy's head, Wing?" Xardius asked.

"Yeah, sort of," Xardius said. "He disappeared a while ago, heading another division of the Ultimate Organization that got wiped out. We thought he was dead too, but I guess..."

Xardius shook his head as the mysterious man stood up. "Looks like it's not over yet."

Growling as if he couldn't really speak, the man spread his hands and lightning shredded the ground in front of him, spraying for the UO...

Xardius twisted as he saw Wing coming towards them. "Wing!"

Turning back, he saw lightning coming straight for him: he had two options he figured in the split second it took to think about it - one, absorb it, or two, save Wing from the other blast.

So, of course, he did the second. Throwing up a shield of air, he rammed it in front of Wing and took the other lightning blast head on, slamming backwards.

    Coughing dirt, he grunted. "Ouch."

OOC: There is the problem of not knowing anything about Oxyrt's Brotherhood member, but...and my internet is sucking at the moment *sigh*.

BIC: Xardius skidded to a halt outside of the cave, and looked around. The mist had cleared somewhat, due to the sun's rise and the desert's returning heat.

The burning wreckage of the gummi ship spoke for itself, as did the chained, sparking man standing next to it. Xardius recognized Wing and Oxyrt's forms on the ground.

Enigma shook his head. "It doesn't seem as powerful as a normal member...it must have hit the engine dead on, making the ship explode."

"I'm more interested in why Oxyrt, the long lost, is back with Wing," Xardius said, pulling out Chomper and racing forward. Skidding to a stop, he spun into the electric storm created by the mysterious man, and slammed into its suddenly raised barricade of chains. Kicking off, he lit up the morning with a stream of fire pillars that crashed into the man's chains, burning them red out. The man cried out as the chains around him broke, knocking him backwards nearly a hundred feet.

Xardius sat up. "I'm getting the feeling that it wasn't good. Wing might have been attacked in orbit, and crashed here, since I'm pretty sure he left the planet for a while."

Standing up, he summoned Chomper. "It seems we might have our first taste of a real battle..."

Enigma grunted and stood up. "If it's the Brotherhood, I'll tell you."

Xardius nodded, and began running out of the cave, followed closely by Enigma...

OOC: I'm thinking Brotherhood...I'll PM you Oxyrt.

BIC: Enigma shrugged slightly. "Or you could just grow stronger. After all, you boys, and girls respectively, haven't really grown in power since your confrontation with the Air Army when they attempted to destroy Kingdom Hearts with the Death Drum. There are some exceptions that don't need to gain power..."

Xardius snored loudly at this point.

Enigma coughed. "As I was saying, there are some exceptions, but as for the rest of you, I'm still not sure what your max level is...and I can tell you, that all of your weaknesses can be overcome with training. I'm not saying we take a break to train, but your power growth is extremely high, higher than anyone else I've ever seen...It might just be unlimited."

Xardius popped an eye open. "Unlimited?"

"Your theory about Kingdom Hearts regulating power through itself, I've found, is generally correct. There are exceptions to every rule, including this one, and I think that the Ultimate Organization's members might be one of them. After all, you were first light denizens, but then all of you become denizens of twilight. Most of your bodies were split into three: the Nobody, the True Self, and the Heartless. Some of you have rejoined, such as Wing, and after watching him a bit, I've noticed something...he doesn't seem bound by the same laws as anyone else here." Enigma closed his eyes and leaned back against the cool rock.

"Consider this: Kingdom Hearts itself is made up of three parts: dark, light, and twilight. The point I'm driving at here is that when Wing, as our primary example, rejoined his body, soul, and heart, there came with it those three parts: firstly, Wing himself as a Nobody, being the twilight; his Heartless, being the darkness; and his True Self, being the light. Within himself, he created his own Kingdom Hearts..." Enigma opened his eyes and stared straight ahead.

"Thus, unknowing, breaking the chains that bound him within the power range of Kingdom Hearts, and stepping into a new boundary, one that his own heart could provide him with," Enigma finished. "The Ultimate Organization is extraordinary in the fact that its members are Nobodies, they are extremely powerful, and they all, I'm almost positive, have the ability to become unlimited."

There was silence for a moment, then a muffled explosion rent the cave in a backwash of sound and light...

On the other side of the universe...

Tera Roth slammed against the building wall, pivoting down to one knee at the same time as bringing the automatic rifle to his shoulder and pulling the trigger. Bullets slammed around him, but his aim, unerringly, traced through the gunfire into the enemies.

Crying out, they reeled back, and Tera Roth boosted forward, somersaulting into cover as more bullets rang out. Tyre followed him, twisting to the side and pulling off three quick shots with his semi-automatic, silencing the men to the right. Rolling next to Tera Roth, he pulled out another clip and slammed it in.

"Not your smartest idea!" Tyre yelled as a turret ripped the ground open in front of their cover, sending shards of concrete from the broken wall flying.

"Tell me about it!" Tera Roth roared, standing up and firing round after round straight into the nozzle of the turret. With a click, his rifle emptied. Tera Roth ducked behind and pulled out another round at the same time as Tyre readied a grenade, stood and chucked it at the turret. Dropping down, Tyre covered his ears and waited for the explosion.

The turret exploded at the same instant as Tera Roth leaped over the small wall and sprinted for the next target: a small building. Sniper fire ripped the ground up, and Tyre stood, aimed with his rifle and took three shots, dropping each three sniper with precision shots only he could pull off.

"Highwind, where are you!?" Tyre yelled into the mike next to his jacket.

"Right here," Highwind said from the mike as a roar of engine ripped through the ruins, and Highwind's pitch black motorbike ripped around the curve, followed by two others, driven by their support, Patrick Stewart and Simon Forge.

The ex-Guardians screeched to a halt, and Patrick motioned Tyre on the bike. Tyre was hardly halfway on before Patrick hit the gas and screeched around the corner.

Meanwhile, Tera Roth slammed through the building door, rolled, and sprayed the adjacent room with cover fire, dropping guards where they stood. Sprinting forward, he slammed through the next door.

"Come on! Ride's waiting!" he said, grabbing the room's occupant and slamming twilight powers through the wall, causing a hole to explode.

Ducking through, he twisted to the right and sprayed fire over the trees, where he knew more snipers were positioned. Simon screeched to a halt next to him.

"Here!" Tera Roth yelled, helping the new escapee onto the bike. "Get out of here!"

Simon saluted, and hit the gas, ripping out of the battlefield at top speeds.

Tera Roth looked around, and sprinted from the wall back to the entry point. Highwind roared up behind him, slowing enough so Tera Roth could jump on.

"Bomb's ready," Highwind said as he hit the gas. Tera Roth twisted and slammed another clip into his rifle, spraying behind him at a hot steel motorcycle that was chasing them. The motorcycle's occupant flicked a hand up, and Reflect sprayed the hot bullets everywhere, causing Tera Roth to nearly fall off the bike.

"Who's that guy!?" Tera Roth yelled.

    "No clue," Highwind said.

"Great, yet another unknown entity!" Tera Roth gritted his teeth. "I'm getting sick of this."

Highwind didn't say anything, but then again, it wouldn't have been heard anyway, because the entire ruins lit up at that exact moment with a concussive blast that knocked Highwind's bike forward, causing it to bounce on the ground, and caused the steel blue motorbike behind them to flip end over end. Tera Roth watched as the rider simply stood, looked back at the ruins, then began walking back towards the now quite-ruined bike.

"Mission success," Highwind said. "Now what?"

"We rendezvous with the Enigmatic Knights in the dark side," Tera Roth said, twisting around to face front, worried about the man who'd chased them. "We've got more work to do."

Highwind said nothing, but Tera Roth had the feeling that if he could have seen Highwind's face at that moment, it would have held a slight smile of anticipation.
