"And I can't really say it's a pleasure meeting you...I hate little kids who think they're really strong...like Vexneah. But she has the viability of being a member of the UO." Suddenly, two monstrous birds rushed from above, their screeches drowning out the cheers of the crowd. Xardius flicked back a piece of hair. "After this battle, I'll remember you kid. Let's do this." OOC: I'll let you hit 'em first. BIC: The announcer yelled above the noise, "Round 1! Pyrolisks! Begin!" Stats appeared on the screen above. HP: 176, BD: 20, EXP: 423, Gil: 500 Special: Evasion produced by its flying capabilities; expect it to dodge every other turn Current Stats of Fighters. HP: 1000, BD: 100 Xardius' Current Stats. HP: 200,000, BD: 300 GOOD LUCK! EDIT OOC: Pirate you can join by jumping in and another Pyrolisk will drop down.
OOC: Yeah, I kind of thought you'd feel that way...You CAN always borrow 10000 gil from someone to enter Round 3, and kick Ulian's trash (if he's in the tournament, ?o-o?) BIC: Xardius hopped into the arena, and looked around. "Whoever's here, come ON!" he yelled. "I'm waiting!"

OOC: First of all, thanks Nulix. And second, I thought about it, and decided that "endurance" meant "endurance." Therefore, we need something to test on. I will now have Odin explain it all, and I hope you feel better about it. Here we go. BIC: Odin stood on the podium and glared at the contestants. "Listen up, wormbags, wimps, and pathetic wastes!" he roared, while not really using much of his volume, "this round is going to be different. You're going to be fighting monsters from all over, really strong monsters, hear? You might die. This isn't like the other rounds where we can pull you out if you keel over...You'll get mauled and eaten long before we can even get in there. This is a true test of skill, see? Teams are VERY important, so get with it!" "Now," Odin continued, "you'll each have an HP scale of exactly 1000 Hit Points! You will all take off exactly 100 HP points whenever you strike! Remember that, IT'S BLOODY IMPORTANT!" "When you defeat an enemy, you'll get EXP and GIL! For those of you who lost in Round 1, you ARE ENTITLED TO PARTICIPATE, but to get into Round 3 you'll have to pay an entrance fee of TEN THOUSAND GIL!" Odin paused again, then continued. "It shouldn't be a problem, but if you LOST, you're likely to get SLAUGHTERED SO DON'T BOTHER!" Xardius snickered. Odin glared at him, but Xardius didn't seem bothered by it. Odin snorted then continued. "EXP will allow you to level your power up! You'll have two EXP scales: Weapon Level and HP Level; the higher the level, the higher your DAMAGE and HP! So it's REALLY important!" "When it is qualified, you will have PIT STOPS where you will REGAIN ALL your lost HP, and be able to see if you've leveled up or NOT. If you've survived, chances are you've LEVELED, so remember that. If you LEVEL DURING A FIGHT, it will NOT apply until after the Pit Stop, kapeesh?" Odin nodded. "Good, now get out there and FIGHT!" OOC: Odin's good at bellowing. Recap - You each have 1000 HP and a base damage of 100. Your enemies will also have a certain amount of HP and a base damage (BD). Defensive capabilities will not apply, and you can use any magic spell (however, it will only take off BD, it just depends on your preference). When you acquire a certain amount of EXP, you'll level up in either Weapon Level or HP Level or both. The higher the level, the more HP and BD you will have/take. The first enemies will not be hard, but later enemies will get tough, so you'll have to probably spend some gil for Potions and such. Potions will recover all of your HP, but you can only use one per battle. Phoenix Downs restore you completely as well. Super Potions will recover the whole team's HP. Super Phoenix Downs will recover all KOed allies. Xardius doesn't really work into all this, because he's just stronger than that, so you can look to him to really be taking off the damage and healing you if you, er, are low on HP, which is highly probable. Most fights you'll fight enemies by yourself, but special fights will require the entire UO to be there (or at least Xardius, lol). The final thing is that if you lost in Round 1, you'll be able to participate in Round 2 anyway. Round 3, however, requires an entrance fee of 10000 Gil, something you shouldn't really worry about. Got that? Oh, and 10000 munny will not count, as munny is light world currency, and gil is dark world currency. So Ulian really cheated Nulix...Kind of. OK, so now that we have this established, we can start Round 2. I'll wait for Pirate and Jaxed to finish their fights, and then we'll move forward. OOC: Meh, I've been having it lately too, that's why my fight was so short (plus it gets boring to constantly write about how Xardius pwns, :P). It'll be similar in the fighting; since it's an endurance test, you'll have to have something to test right? Well, look no further than your very own HP score!!! OOC: Maybe you should do intros Wing...that would help a lot and yours was unmatched in its sheer awesomeness...I'll PM you everybody's "animes"...at least that Hidden and I have been using. Anyway, I have done yet another trailer...it's uploading, and is quite different, so when I put the link in, please check it out. Second round will officially start tomorrow, but I'm worried that no one's showed up all day... Anyway, second round rules will be a little bit different, so watch out for that. I will hint that they'll be slightly similar to Obsidian Sky (at least, what it was going to be like), but I've got it down now, so it should be pretty fun.
OOC: I'm back and MUCH better after a good night's rest. :) BIC: Xardius, meanwhile, was entering his second match. He hadn't felt like telling anyone, and hadn't really had time too anyway...after Raijin had "stolen" the crystal, his match had been announced, and he'd had to zip to the arena before he was disqualified... Now he stood face to face with Tyr, the Norse god of battle, missing part of his right arm because, as legend said, Fenris had bit it off, in return being destroyed by Tyr. Xardius didn't really care, but the arm did look chewed on. Tyr was dressed in grand armor, plates driving down his arms, shoulders, and chest, before merging into single plates for his abdomen and legs. A shield the length of his body was strapped to his mutilated right arm, and in his left he held a long sword. Xardius considered, then unhooked Chomper, and slammed it into the ground, its point driving a crack in the dry ground. Unhooking a crystal, he summoned the Dual Dragons, sacrificing length for speed. Tyr smiled, and then the match began. Xardius was never one to talk during a fight. Hence there were no dramatic discussions, no dreaded foreplay to the battle. There was simply steel versus steel, the shifting of feet, the creak of armor, the grunts of effort, the ripple of muscle and tendons as the two warriors clashed. If one ever watches two evenly matched swordsman in a battle, and they are beyond good, it is almost terrifying to watch. You lose yourself in the clash of steel...If you are as good, or better, than the ones fighting, you find yourself muttering to yourself about what the opponents should have done, or what you would have done. However, as the seconds stretched into minutes, it became increasingly clear who was the better swordsman. It became increasingly clear who had the advantage. Which is why suddenly Xardius broke off, sliding back towards Chomper, one arm dripping blood from a wicked gash. Tyr smiled, his eyes shining with the lust of battle. Xardius gritted his teeth and shook his head. He was still tired from finding Wing's friends...not that he blamed Wing. Neither of them had none about this match. And he hadn't expected someone to be as good as him...at least at swordplay. Spinning the Dual Dragons, he concentrated, then invoked their power. Light sprayed from both swords as he slammed the flat of the blades together, mushing them together with as much magic as brute force. The light hardened, focused, becoming a new blade, one nearly as long as Chomper, and with a hand guard the length of Xardius' forearm. Xardius pointed the new Dueling Dragons at Tyr, and moved back in to the spinning cycle of death. This time, it became clear after a bit that Tyr was on the defensive, as Xardius' moves became hard to see, let alone read, then became a blur of inconsequential light that ripped through Tyr's defense and buried light-blessed steel into dragon-plated armor. Tyr laughed. Just laughed. And that, as they say, was that. EDIT OOC: Be back later.

OOC: Man alive, do I feel crappy...I went to bed last night with a bad headache and woke up this morning with a migraine. I still went to school, then I got achy, got the chills, became nauseous and dizzy...My parents are wondering if it isn't West Nile, since I got chewed on by a bunch of mosquitoes the other day... Anyway, thanks for your comments...I already fixed Xegreny's part, and it should be uploaded within the next hour or so. If you guys have any suggestions on what I should say in some parts, or songs, or animes to use, I'll be happy to try and find them. I find the clips mainly on youtube and download them using VDownloader. But that's just me.

"It's Scourge's seal...With it, he'll be much, much stronger...Stronger than me, even. Have a nice day." And Xardius turned and walked away.

He looked down for a second, then said rather abruptly, "Xardius probably hasn't told you yet, but...I'm a Brotherhood member. However, I'm on your side...I was sent here by Scourge to help you. The Brotherhood is having a bit of political strife at the moment, conflicting over how to run things, specifically on what to do with the UO. My group has decided to take a non-aggressive stance towards you, in hopes that you'll...well, never mind, but just know that I'm here to help you win. OK?"
OOC: Utterly awesome Hidden! You're really good at these... Xardius sighed. "I thought as much. Yes...but there's a lot of flames out there. Give me a description of your friend." Wing did, as much as he remembered, and Xardius closed his eyes. Xardius nodded, and with that in mind, stretched out. Sweat streaked down his brow as he reached out, extending himself farther than he'd ever had to, forcing himself past every barrier he'd ever done. He felt himself ripping out of his body, but he ignored it and pushed harder. Suddenly, it came to him, and he snapped back to himself, stumbling backwards, breathing heavily. *** Enigma ran up to Bellatrix. "That was quick. Let's see..." He yanked out something and threw it in the air, shooting it with his pistol with one hand and slashing runes with the other. Then as the bottle fell to the ground, he placed a hand on Bellatrix's forehead, all her wounds knitting together. "I've neutralized the poison; this one wasn't that difficult," Enigma said, picking up the bottle and stuffing it inside his cloak. "It'll run out of your body as normal water, so don't worry about it. Take it easy for a bit; you'll still be weak from loss of blood for a bit." Standing up, Enigma wiped more sweat from his brow. "Round 2 will be starting soon..." EDIT OOC: School starts in two days for me, FYI. But it's my senior year, and I'm not taking hard classes, so I should be on often enough.
