The Holy Grail ​

An omnipotent object which is the end goal of the holy grail war. It's origins are unknown. While it's certain it never recieved the blood of god, it matches the power of the one in the legend. It is capable of granting any wish it's holder desires. It is through the power of the holy grail that heroic spirits are summoned to the present to fight. ​

The Holy Grail War​

The great conflict between the seven masters and their servants taking place in Fuyuki city. It ends when only one servant and master remain standing. The first Holy Grail War taking place in this RP will be the sixth, and so on through the next ones.​

Servants​

Heroes of the past, summoned by the Holy Grail to a master to fight for it. Whether they actually existed in reality or purely in fiction is irrelevant. The power of the grail brings them into existence. They are all incredibly powerful, more than a match for most humans, including Magi. As they are spirits, they can leave their physical body and become invisible, although can still be easily detected by other servants and their own master. If their master is killed, they can exist in the world temporarily, though will be at a severe disadvantage unless they find a new master as their supply of mana will be mostly cut off. ​

Noble Phantasms​

The trump cards of the servants. They are weapons and abilities that they had during their previous life, and are generally very powerful. Each Noble Phantasm is different, sometimes being just a simple weapon, sometimes an ability, and sometimes both. Servants aren't neccesarily limited to one noble phantasm.​

Command Spells​

A mark on the back of the master's hand. This mark gives three times where a master can invoke absolute obedience from their servant. These can also be, and often are, used to increase the servant's capabilities or summon and dismiss them across long distances. For example: "Give everything you have in the next attack!" the servant can temporarily exceed what they would normally be able to do. Long term command spells such as "Obey my every command throughout the war" Generally don't work very well, if at all. With each spell they use, part of the markings vanishes. Once all three command spells are gone, the servant is no longer obligated to obey the master.​

Classes​

Among the servants summoned, there are seven possible classes they can fit into. ​

• Saber: Servants placed within this class are agile and powerful melee warriors. It is commonly assumed to be the best class overall, with high ratings in all categories. It is one of the three Knight classes, together with Lancer and Archer.

• Archer: Servants placed within this class are usually proficient with projectiles and can survive longer without a Master nearby, thanks to their special ability Independent Action; the strongest Archers can be difficult to control at times, in fact, due to their near-total independence from their "Masters". It is one of the three Knight classes, together with Lancer and Saber.

• Lancer: Servants placed within this class are very agile and skilled with long-range melee weapons, such as spears, lances, etc. It is one of the three Knight classes, together with Archer and Saber.

• Caster: Servants placed within this class are adept in magecraft and have a special ability akin to Reality Marble, called Territory Creation, which alters or creates space around them to enhance their sorcery.

• Rider: Servants placed within this class place emphasis upon speed and powerful Noble Phantasms, which often include their mounts. Their special skill is Riding, which allows them to fully utilize abilities of their mounts (which can range from simple horses to mechanical vehicles to divine or supernatural creatures.).
• Assassin: Servants placed within this class are very good with recon. The Assassins' special ability is Presence Concealment, which allows them to remain undetected. Offset by their stealth is their weak combat skills. Due to this, Assassins often target Masters instead of Servants.
• Berserker: Servants placed within this class are always heroes who have gone berserk in their lifetime. This trait allows them to use the special ability Mad Enhancement, which trades their consciousness (i.e. sanity) for a large power boost. Most Masters are incapable of controlling their Servant once Mad Enhancement has been activated, which eventually results in their death.

Rules​

No godmodding, of course.​

I'm not going to say that you cannot kill of another's character, as it's a war and people WILL die, although it might be a good idea to ask them if they're alright with it beforehand, though not required.​

Don't join if you will be extremely against your character dying. ​

Please try to be active. If possible, at least once every 36 hours. If you won't be able to post for any reason, notify me. A week of inactivity without notification will result in your characters being killed off.​

You are allowed one master and one servant per grail war(as we will do multiple.)​

The master must be an OC, and the Servant must be an actual character.​

Make the character fit their class. For example, you wouldn't see Hamtaro being a berserker​

The stats are simply a way to gauge how strong your servant is. They are ranked E-A, with pluses indicating they can exceed that at times. (up to three pluses) ​

The EX stat rank indicates that stat is incredibly powerful, surpassing the A rank by far. Most characters WILL NOT have a stat that powerful. While it's not totally forbidden, keep that in mind.​

The more powerful the ability, the more magic it drains from the master. Your characters do get tired.​

It's generally a good idea to refer to your servants by their class, rather than name. As it allows enemies to learn their identity, and therefore possibly their weaknesses. ​

Background: The Weiss family was around since the first holy grail war, but decided to stay out of it. This wasn't because they wanted to avoid it, but because they knew there would be others. They were biding their time. Each and every day, they would pour all their magical energy into a scepter. No member of the family was spared from this. Over time, the scepter came to hold an unimaginable amount of magical power. Their intent was to use the to ensure their victory in the holy grail war. The latest head of the Weiss family, Daniel Weiss, was incredibly strict. He treated his entire family like dirt. Especially his son Noire. It was family tradition that the members be seculduded. It was only recently that Noire snapped. He stole the scepter, and used it to slaughter his entire family. Intending to use the scepter's power to win the war and clense the world, as he believes all humans to be evil, as he has never experienced anything else. Innocence is a foreign concept to him.

Any sort of doctor; being in the dark; things being “too easy”; being defeted.

Background:
She was once in an asylum that did secret experiments on their patients that was ordered by the government to create the “Ultimate Being” as a weapon of mass destruction for war. They performed the experiment on her and she survived but then she ended up escaping the asylum with her new found power. Now that she has figured out how to use these new powers she plans on finding the Holy Grail and becoming immortal.

Because of this, Simon spent most of his time at home secluded in his bedroom, teaching himself to use computers as a way to distract himself. One day, Simon's parents were killed in a horrible car accident, leaving him to fend for himself, as he had nobody else to turn to. As much as he hates to admit it, their deaths, as tragic as it was for him initially, was a bit of a relief as well, as the constant violence was finally ended. Since hearing of the Holy Grail, Simon has wished to acquire it's power to rid the entire world of violence, even if it means having to fight his way there.

*Ice-Make: Floor: Gray simply freezes the floor, which makes anyone in the area slip. Gray is also capable of freezing water with this spell, and slide on the resultant floor.
*Ice-Make: Bow: Gray creates a large bow out of ice, which can be used to shoot powerful ice arrows at his targets.
*Ice-Make: Arrows: Gray creates one or more arrows out of ice, which are subsequently shot at high speed to enemies through the use of the previously made ice bow
*Ice-Make: Super Freeze Arrow: Using Ice-Make Ice Geyser and standing on top of the resulting ice formation, Gray can rise up to a high point to shoot his arrow; after the shot, the speed of the arrow increases with gravity and air pressure, making this attack much deadlier than usual
*Ice-Make: Battle Axe: Gray creates an axe out of ice for melee combat and swings it around him.
*Ice-Make: Sword: Gray creates a sword out of ice for melee combat. The sword is very durable, being capable of cutting and parrying other weapons as if it were made of metal
*Ice-Make: Cold Excalibur: Gray creates a massive great-sword out of ice for melee combat. As with its smaller version, the weapon is very strong and sharp; in addition, its slashes seem capable of leaving behind large wakes of ice which can damage the opponents
*Ice-Make: Ice Bringer: Gray generates two swords of ice in his hands and rapidly moves them forward in an X motion to slash his opponent
*Ice-Make: Ice Geyser: Freezing the ground in front of him, Gray creates a tower of ice spikes that impales opponents, greatly damaging them
*Ice-Make: Ice Cannon: Having created a large, bazooka-like hand-held cannon, Gray fires a cannonball made of ice to deal massive damage to his opponent
* Ice-Make: Prison: Gray creates a large square cage out of ice to trap opponents.
*Ice-Make: Ice Dummy: Gray creates a copy of himself made out of ice. The copy is perfectly identical to him, being revealed as made of ice only after a close, careful inspection.
*Ice-Make: Stairs: Gray makes stairs out of ice, so that he can get to previously unreachable places. The stairs, despite the nature of the material composing them, don't seem to be slippy at all
*Ice-Make: Slide: Gray makes a slide out of ice, so that he can get to previously unreachable places
*Ice-Make: Rampart: Gray creates an extremely massive and high wall out of ice, which can stop his opponents in their tracks, but uses up a lot of Magic
*Ice-Make: Grappling Hook: Gray creates two four-pointed grappling hooks with chains connected with the Ice-Make auras around his hands, which can be used to hold grasp of higher surfaces or objects, allowing him to lift himself
*Ice-Make: Death Scythe: Gray first creates a large scythe made out of ice, and then jumps into the air. When he's high enough, he swings the scythe at his opponent
*Ice-Make: Gungnir: Gray releases a gigantic lance out of ice which traps the opponent in it.
*Ice-Make: Knuckle: Freezing the ground under his opponent, Gray creates a tower made of large ice fists which strikes his opponent
*Ice-Make: Saucer: Gray creates a large, spinning ice disk, capable of cutting through like a buzz-saw, which he launches at his target
*Ice-Make: Fishnet: Gray releases an icy wind from his hands, which takes on a fishnet-like shape, and allows him to freeze his opponent
*Ice-Make: Ice Wall: An alternative version of Ice-Make: Ice Geyser, which freezes the opponent instead of impaling them.
*Ice-Make: Coccoon: Gray surrounds his body with a cocoon of ice, which has spikes jutting outwards, to protect himself from enemy attacks
*Ice-Make: Kite: User creates a kite under the user which allows him/her to fly in the air
*Ice-Make Unlimited: One Sided Chaotic Dance: Gray creates a big number of Ice Swords, which he can command to attack one or more enemies.
*Ice-Make: Shotgun: Gray utilizes nearby water in conjunction with his Ice-Make Magic to solidify the water, which is then aimed at the target and released as sharp, thick spears of ice
*Enhanced Durability
*Expert Weapons Specialist: Gray has displayed considerably great ability in wielding the weapons produced by his Ice-Make spells. He is very skilled in swordsmanship with his constructed ice swords of various forms and sizes. He has also shown to be adept at marksmanship, using his ice bow to throw arrows at great distances with pinpoint accuracy

As the "dark" half of Ventus's Heart, Vanitas was at first much like him. However, due to the suffering he endured by the hands of Master Xehanort, and his desperate desire for salvation, he became proud, cunning, and cruel in order to achieve enough strength to forge the χ-Blade with Ventus, believing that to be the salvation he desires. As such, the lives of others, including that of even Master Xehanort, hold absolutely no value to him, and he shows zero remorse for his actions. As a pragmatist, he will strike without a moment's thought, warning, or hesitation, as seen when he ambushes Aqua in the Keyblade Graveyard and attempts to eliminate her.

Despite his loyalty to Master Xehanort, he has no qualms with disregarding his orders if he feels the need arises; for example, he attempts to eliminate Ventus after defeating him in their first battle despite full knowledge that Master Xehanort needed Ventus alive for his plans, all while openly acknowledging that he'd be going against Xehanort's plans by doing so.

He is also shown to be an uncaring, cold, and ruthless individual, having not the slightest sympathy for anyone but himself. Vanitas holds everything and everyone in contempt, and holds a great resentment against Ventus and the friends he has. The envy he feels against them is seen in his frequent criticizing of Ventus's friendships with Terra and Aqua, when he callously breaks Ventus's wooden Keyblade while cruelly antagonizing Aqua for playing with the Lost Boys, his constantly calling Ventus "idiot", and forcing Ventus to fight him by threatening to kill Terra and Aqua after Ventus refused to.

He also possesses a high degree of arrogance, believing his skills surpass all others; in his first fight with Aqua, he claims that he will be the only one that will walk away alive, even bursting into a fit of laughter upon defeat. When fighting her for the final time, Vanitas taunts her by sarcastically asking if she has given up, and boasts that Aqua was just "wasting her energy" trying to stop him. Right before possessing Ventus, he remarks that Ventus never stood a chance against him and Master Xehanort.

When fighting Ventus for the final time, he laughs when Ventus declared he would defeat him and destroy the χ-blade. During this same battle, Vanitas directly states his belief that he is the superior half of Ventus's heart. This extreme overconfidence in his abilities usually leads to his downfall as he underestimates his opponents when fighting.

The only time in the entire game when Vanitas expresses genuine concern and fear is when he has been defeated by Ventus for the final time. He begins to panic and makes a desperate attempt to grab the floating χ-blade in a hopeless flurry to hold onto his only way of salvation before dying. Despite his villainous and fearsome persona, however, Vanitas was actually a tragic and sympathetic character, having become the way he was due to Xehanort's ambitions and manipulations.

Zafkiel's ultimate ability, however, is a form of temporal distortion that allows many versions of herself from different points in time to stand by her side.
