Tera Roth picked himself off the ground. "I'm retreating, who's with me?" Highwind began laughing. "It's too late, Tera. The guy's already gone..." As the dust cleared, Trent was nowhere to be found... *** Trent opened a portal as he and Zaxor regrouped. "Satisfactory," Trent said. "Next world..."
"Ah, yes, you didn't know did you?" Trent said. "The me you fought earlier was simply a production of Azull's imagination, a true illusion. I am the real thing. And so..." He raised a fist, drawing his sleeve back, muscles bunching. "I hope you survive this," he said, smiling slightly at them. His fist slammed into the ground accompanied with a sonic boom as his arm broke the sound barrier, the ground in front of him exploding outwards, sending debris and a massive wave of molten rock at Tera Roth, Highwind, and Xane... OOC: Kaplooie goes Port Royal...
Zaxor and Trent stood in the middle of the rubble of what used to be the government building for the Dark Port Royal. "That was successful," Zaxor said. Trent nodded. "One more to get their attention..." Zaxor grinned as he pointed at the thickest group of screaming people trying to get away...The world went white... *** The second explosion rippled through the city as Highwind and Tera Roth skidded around the corner. A third followed shortly thereafter, and people screaming could be heard. "Vecked only releases one explosion, and he would have wiped out more people," Highwind said, and Tera Roth nodded. "This is actually Brotherhood," Tera Roth growled. They skidded around a corner and found their target. Trent, in the flesh.
"Which is why we're here," Highwind said. "We intercepted a Brotherhood communication suggesting there was going to be an attack here...We think it's simply lunatic material from Vecked, but..." Tera Roth blinked. "When did you get here?" Highwind smirked. Then the massive sound of an explosion rippled forward, the light and fire erupting over the buildings in front of them. "Yikes!" Tera Roth yelled, pulling out his sword and running for the area of the explosion.
OOC: Where are we again? BIC: "Where are we again?" Tera Roth asked, looking around. "I was sleeping while Highwind drove us here..."
OOC: Grah, finally! I've been here for 2 hours! Reloading the page! Anyhoo... BIC: "He makes it seem so easy, but this is going to be the toughest assignment of our lives..." Trent said to Zaxor, who nodded. "And Falcon's with Enigma..." "And the Enigmatic Knights are..." Zaxor trailed off. "Still being annoying," Trent said. "All right...let's do this..." As one, the two moved towards the city below. "Vecked's about to get a lesson in terrorism..." *** Tera Roth walked up to Xane. "Long time no see, Xane. What's happening?"
This is great! I really want this game now...
OOC: Yeah...I concur...I only mentioned it because I did stuff, and you totally flipped it around and did what you were doing in the first place over again, like what I did didn't matter (which it didn't...) That's the only reason I said anything. Of course, I'm sure I've done that loads of times, and it was probably because I was really tired that day and extra-sensitive. So don't worry about it. Yes, Xardius really did leave. And no, he isn't going to pop up dead, and then alive again. Anyway, I'll be back later, but I stayed home sick today, so I got to get on early...See you guys then...and hopefully I can get my plots to work better than they have been...
OOC: I totally just got home, and still have loads of homework, and feel sick, so I'm leaving, but don't think for a minute, you can start pulling stunts like that every time Nulix... It's one of those: I'm doing whatever I want in the name of the plot things...They're driving me up the wall because I can't do anything about them...At least make it plausible for me to do something... I honestly don't care if you nuke the UPA, but ignoring me isn't going well. I don't want to give you tons of crap, but back off a little and let other people in, y'know what I mean? BIC: Xardius shook his head. He didn't know what all this talk of gods and goddesses was, but he figured it was mostly a load of garbage. There was something fishy going on... "It's time the UO and I parted ways," Xardius said to himself. "Maybe I'd better write a note..." *** "Calm down, Azull," Scourge said. "You'll be able to show them soon enough." Azull fumed. "Vecked...!" "Will be taken care of," Scourge said. "I will not allow him to run rampant much longer. He has shunted fate long enough." Enigma shrugged. "Besides, it's still working, right?" Azull sighed. "Yes, it's still in place. But...I'm worried about the Ultimate Organization..." Scourge nodded. "Enigma, you're doing a great job, but there are too many people taking advantage of us. Clean it up. I only want the Ultimate Organization in the end." "The UPA?" Enigma asked, cocking an eyebrow. "Kill them all," Scourge said. "And set up Vecked." Enigma smiled. "Who will do it?" "An old friend of mine," Scourge smiled. "Darius Lionheart."
EDIT: OK, so this will be my last post. Here's what has NOT happened: the fights with the Brotherhood members...they were merely illusion fights, meaning that they happened, but they were what ifs. The last ten days were an illusion for Vecked's team only. *deep breath* So there. But Azull's not done yet, of course. But I'll have to do it tomorrow. BIC: "Actually," Azull said. "You'd be surprised to know that Atilio Ecklund was only an illusion during the bomb process. I'm sure you'll find him comfortable and out cold."
OOC: Just wait... BIC: That's when Enigma decided to play dirty. "Azull, aren't you forgetting something?" Enigma asked, coming out of the shadows. Azull frowned. "What are you...?" "Isn't it obvious, Vecked?" Enigma asked. "Azull pulled a fast one on you, but there's only one way he could do that...He doesn't have near enough power to pull what he says he did." "Enigma!" Azull shouted. "What are you...!?" "So, instead, he did something mediocre," Enigma said, smiling slightly. "He did a much smaller one twice; once for Zaxor and Trent, and all the other Brotherhood fights, and one for the last ten days. Of which everything happened in reality, but he is now suggesting the 'what if' it didn't." Azull stared at Enigma, shocked into silence. "So, how to fix this...?" Enigma pondered, tapping his chin. "Oh, yes...Isn't it always...kill the illusion master himself...?" "You'll regret this, Enigma..." Azull growled, pulling out a sword. "I doubt it," Enigma said, laughing as he disappeared. "Good luck, Vecked..." OOC: See? So it's not as entirely convoluted...
OOC: Remember way back when we first came into the dark worlds and were attacked by Azull's behemoth creature thing? Maybe not, but this is what he said: "The power of illusion can do many things, such as 'what if this happens' or 'what if that happens.'" Well, way back when he came to Asgard, he put one of those 'what if's' in place and let everyone run around doing their thing within his little illusion bubble. Now he popped it, so to speak. So nothing that has happened really happened, it was all an illusion. So, we didn't fight Zaxor, Trent, or anyone else...the UO are still on Asgard, and the tournament is still ongoing, and Armageddon hasn't happened yet. Or whatever it was. And play nice, Nulix...Hate me all you want, but play along...There's a way out of this... EDIT: I honestly had this planned out all the way back to when we fought Zaxor and Trent...honest...
Enigma stood in silence. "You really are..." "One minute," Atilio said, smiling. Enigma shook his head. "Only someone really sick would do this." "Or someone who has nothing to lose," Atilio said, turning to Enigma. "30 seconds." "We'll see who wins in the end...Azull," Enigma said, turning and disappearing. "Run, but you can't escape," Atilio/Azull said, turning back to the building. "3, 2, 1. Detonation." The world went white, and infinity collapsed. Two dimensions came back together with a sickening jolt, and everything that is became that which will be again in a mind-bending jump in time that left half the world's population roiling in sudden nausea. "You lose, Vecked," Azull said to the man himself, standing in front of them as they both stood on the world of Asgard. "I did warn you all at the beginning of this." He chuckled. "The power of what if. As soon as you made your move, I produced my creation. Illusion has so many uses; when I entered this world what to you must seem ages ago, I snapped it in place. Everything you just experienced is what would have happened. But it never did. It was a 'what if,' the best I've ever done if I do say so myself. What if Vecked were allowed to play his little game with Scourge?" "It played out, and it ended, and now we're back to the beginning," Azull said. "That's all there is to it."
Enigma looked at Atilio. "This is sick, you know that?" "But it's perfect," Atilio said. "It's the perfect end to it all." "You think this will end it?" Enigma asked, his fists clenching. "This will be just the beginning." "Not when I'm through with this," Atilio smiled. "Three minutes."
"Drop me off here," Atilio said. "I'll meet up with you later." Getting out of the speeder, Atilio began walking quickly toward an abandoned building. Climbing up the long steep stairs, he made it to the roof, where Enigma appeared next to him. "It's been interesting at least," Atilio said, checking his watch. "Five minutes."
"Roger," Atilio said, wishing that he hadn't fallen asleep during the meeting. Being dead was tiring. He walked to the end of the hall and turned left, walking down some stairs, turning right, up some stairs, left, right, through a door, into another hallway, which he followed right, then took the stairs to the left that led down, exited the stairwell through a door on the left, walked the length of the hallway, and ended up on one of about fifteen balconies. The "kart" hovered up to the platform, and Atilio quickly checked his watch before getting in... "Ten minutes to detonation," Atilio muttered.
OOC: Sorry, had to go for a sec. BIC: Atilio opened communications as he finished setting the bomb. "In position. I'll detonate the bomb when the UPA arrive."
Xardius checked the map quickly, and grunted. "This world, maybe. But...it seems weird." Xardius piloted to it... OOC: My set-up for plot is complete. But I need Vecked's plan to come through.
Xardius powered the ship up and motored...over there...and picked up Wing...then took off... Xardius looked back at everyone. "Where are we going?"
Xardius shrugged. "The other really big city...thing..."
