Enigma was suddenly there, his hand out, smashing back the tide of destruction and deflecting it into the air, where it imploded. Quickly wrapping his hand, Enigma turned to Novice. "I suppose you've never heard of Azull's magical abilities," Enigma said. "Not everything was an illusion for him..." "Novice, I officially discharge you from the Brotherhood," Enigma said. "On accounts of treason. Look out for Kardas, all right?" And with that, Enigma disappeared again. EDIT OOC: That's that. I won't be late tomorrow if you get on.
"Orders are orders," Azull said. "And I was ordered to die." Chaotic Ultimagum shredded Azull in half and launched itself towards Novice... OOC: There's an easy way out of this.
"I just prefer a clean death to slowly having my body beaten down to where it can't function by some overly-muscled moron," Azull said, reappearing some distance from Novice. "So, shall we...?" Azull asked. "I'm going to take you with me...and survive of course." Rushing at Novice, Azull's final sphere rammed headlong into Novice as Azull crashed into the man. "There's a reason only Xardius Lionheart dares utter this spell," Azull smiled slightly as the tendrils wrapped around them both, tying them together. "And that's because only he can survive it." "So...Chaotic...Ultimagum," Azull said, and the life detonated.
Azull choked and disappeared. "So, this is how you're going to kill me, is it?" Azull asked. "Beat me to death...?"
The wind slices ripped open slices along Novice's back and shoulders, as Azull reeled from the blow and blew a desperate Firaja into Novice's face.
Azull shuddered as the memories ran into him like a freight train. "Thundaja!" he roared, striking the earth and ripping it up, slicing through the memories with ten thousand volts. "Stay out of my head," Azull growled, slicing his hand through the air and buzzing wind slices at Novice...
OOC: Whatever you want to do, but hurry...I have only an hour before my time kicks me off... BIC: One of the spheres shot straight up as Azull slammed a fist into it, causing it to rebound upwards at Novice... As the sphere neared Novice, it exploded, sending tendrils of fluid-like material in several streams at the jumping man... OOC: Where's Nulix...I need him for my Xardius plot...
"Orders, of course," Azull said. "Nothing more, nothing less. I do what I am told to do." Azull pulled his gloves on tighter and flexed his fingers. "So, let's get this party started," Azull said. Spreading his arms, streams of light flowed down his arms in spirals, pooling in his hands in clear spheres about the size of a basketball. The power stopped and the spheres dropped, beginning to rotate Azull as he flicked his fingers back and forth. "Firaja!" Azull roared, and flames burst from the world beneath under Novice...
OOC: OK, I'm alive now. So, go ahead. Azull is ready. BIC: "I'm ready..." Azull said.
OOC: Sorry! I just got home...
OOC: Yeah, I'll be late. I have to go someplace in about two hours, and it will probably last an hour or so. So I'll meet you then. (An hour later)
Azull hopped down from the tree behind them, where he'd been cat-napping. "Seems I'm out of options," Azull said. "Although you might want to dig up your friends." OOC: Get on tomorrow at the same time as you did today and I'll meet you OK? Although I might be a little late...
"Well, that was interesting," Tyre said, turning into Azull. "Glad I didn't get on that ship. Of course, now all of you are stuck." He laughed at Xane as he walked back into the castle.
OOC: .... :) BIC: It did. Azull's arm ripped off, and stuffing flew out of it as the grinning Azull doll fell to pieces. Meanwhile, Azull was sliding into the pilot's chair of Tyre's ship, and beginning the start-up sequence. "Xane!" Tyre called, running up to the ramparts. "He's going for the ship! Hurry!"
OOC: Azull is kind of creepy like that... BIC: "The only way to counter illusion is through time," Mellodia said, pulling out a dagger and stabbing Xane. "Clever Tyre. But stupid also." Mellodia's features melted into Azull's. "Thanks for carrying me," Azull said, laughing rather...creepily.
Tyre lowered his sword. "Now that Xane is gone, I can go all out." Tera Roth eyed Tyre. "You mean..." "She was an illusion, of course, but it successfully got him out of the way," Tyre said, stepping through the beasts towards Azull, who frowned. "What are you talking about?" Azull asked. "I'm talking about..." Tyre said, and suddenly Azull felt warmth trickling down his chest as Tyre's sword stuck him like a fat pig. "Killing you." "Too bad," Azull said. "It was only what if..." "It is too bad," Tyre said, pulling out an object from his pocket. "Because this means it wasn't." Azull blinked at the device as Tyre pulled his sword out, falling to his knees. "What...?" he said, spitting blood. "The only way to counter illusion is with time," Tyre said. "Thus I made a device that would stop time for a moment. So, you're dead." Azull shuddered as his body went cold. "Well, isn't that..." His eyes shut and he fell over. Tyre cleaned his sword as the beasts vanished. "I'm confused," Tera Roth said. "We'd better get downstairs," Tyre said, ignoring Tera Roth. "Xane, Nulix, and Mellodia will be waiting." "But wasn't she an illusion?" Tera Roth asked. Highwind sighed. "She wasn't as soon as Tyre activated that device...It was all a what if Azull had kidnapped her. Tyre made it so he had." "Still," Tyre said. "I have the feeling that was all too easy..." *** Downstairs, Azull looked through the world through Mellodia's eyes...
"We'll be fine, just get her out of here," Tera Roth said, aiming his sword. "Together, we're unstoppable." "It would take Xardius himself to move us," Highwind said. "So don't worry about it."
Tyre was there, fighting off the sudden onrush of beasts. "Listen, Xane, you take care of Mellodia," Tyre said. "We'll finish these guys." "Can you, I wonder?" Azull asked, appearing finally across the room. "Can you indeed...?"
"Are you willing to bet her on that?" Azull said. Tyre gritted his teeth. "Make your choice Xane...Not even I can tell..."
"True," Azull said. "But..." The wall behind Xane slid apart, and as he turned, Mellodia was revealed, chained to a post, with the beasts walking up to her. "It only works if everyone doesn't believe in them," Azull said. "Will you let them devour her because she believes in them?" A beast dragged a claw across Melodia's face, opening its maw as she screamed...
