There weren't as many optional bosses in KH2, which I thought was a bad idea.

There's a thread with the exact same question just down the list... Whatever, I'll say again: Staff gives you an extra MP bar, Shield gives you extra item slots, Sword makes you strong...I guess. Defense and Power boosts can make up what you lose if you don't choose the Sword or Shield, but that extra MP bar can never be made up, so the Staff is the best option.

Ziya yawned. "From what I heard, you captured it by blasting it with a lot of sound, and then power. Or am I thinking of something else...?" Dyran smiled. "If that's the case, it won't like me at all."
"Most people find my power," Dyran said after a moment, "interesting. I think the Virus would too...Tell me, does the Virus like music?"

Master Form is the bomb with those magic combos. Not even Final Form has cooler moves than a Master Form Firaga...
They all kind of made me sad: When I first heard of Organization XIII, I thought they were all some kind of fallen heroes, searching for their hearts. If they'd had hearts, who's to say who they could have been? I felt bad for what they could have done...
Aqua is the first female character in the game we'll actually be able to control, and she's the most mysterious at the moment. She's supposedly based around magic, which will be awesome... Terra will be fun to bash people in the face with, lol.

The first time I played the game it took me to about Level 70-75 to beat him. Then I kicked his butt for the rest of my 30 levels to Level 100, and started a second game. I beat him at Level 40 with the Kingdom Key (just for kicks).
I'm guessing, however, that Roxas really kind of just watched Sora from inside him, maybe to see what kind of person he really was, before completely merging together. Roxas and Sora's fight was probably instigated due to Roxas feeling just a little bit insecure about the fact that he's just this copy of Sora, who is quite the guy...
