That's what I've been saying all this time. Don't call it "Devil May Cry" and don't try so hard to re-make an already beloved character to try making him "cool" and don't change the gameplay so that it looks like Heavenly Sword with some light Devil May Cry sprinkling. Leave DMC to DMC, and make this new game it's own separate series, so both parties could be happy.
But the actual point is that this specific game calls itself "Devil May Cry", a name that belongs to a series of face-paced action and tough-as-nails boss battles, and it's valid to bring up that this reboot fails to live up to this expectation, in both pace and difficulty. And honestly, it seems neither the people hating the game nor the ones who love it are going to convince the other party towards his/her own opinion.

Been waiting for an announcement for Fallout 4. Just imagining the gameplay in Skyrim-level graphics....sounds amazing. Hopefully it is a game and not like a TV series or something. Not that I wouldn't enjoy those; I'd just prefer a new game.

Just because the original story is over, doesn't mean they HAD to make a new game that tries so hard to be DMC, but ultimately is nothing like it aside from names and a few attacks. We can go play the original games that were awesome (minus 2), but don't tell us to not be mad about an established series that we love being ruined. Because look what happened here: and here But unlike those two series, DMC isn't getting another chance. This reboot is now the only way we'll be getting anything new for the series.

How to enjoy the new DMC game: /mute all voice acting and terrible writing and bad plot (the originals never had great ones, but...jeez) /ignore the butch lesbian looking "Dante" (who likes to remind us all that his name is, in fact, "Dante") /also ignore 80's Top Gun style "Vergil" (who suddenly cares about his dick size?) /enjoy the genuinely good gameplay Or just play DMC 1, 3, or 4 (bar the stupid repeat of levels in the 4th game's story mode)
