OOC: And now for a character introduction! >:D IC: High-up, in the snow-banketed mountains of Cenozoa major, a passing polar bear was looming it's massive formover the snowy plain, pacing it's way towards the edge of a cliff , the base of which was a frozen basin near the waterfall where the lake was. It must have been waiting near the waterfall for a fish to jump against the current. "Follow your target.......never allow the tip of your bow to stray from the designated area.....your movement must be like the going ghost; silent, untraceable, and unanticipated..." A piercing noise shot through the air, taking down the silence and calm from the atmosphere of the mountain. Suddenly, a huge roar further shattered the silence, as the polar bear's now lifeless body fell over the falls like an avalanche into a pit of ice-water. From the distance, there was another kind of roaring....albit a more vulgar, but intelligible kind of roaring. The source of the noise was coming from the figure of a fool throwing a crossbow to the ground and stomping his feet like an angry bull. "DAMN IT! Why do you mock me, Nature? Why?!" Artix Badlands buried his head in his palm an let out an annoyed, irritable sigh. It's really did feel like the forces of nature herself were against him. For 3 weeks, he had spent his time stalking that very same bear, memorizing it's territorial range, finding shortcuts to it's usual rendez-vous and synchronizing his movements with it's own. Now, with how steep a fall it would be to claim his prey, his efort had, quite literally (and amusingly), fallen to naught. He stood over the spot where his would-be prey had fallen and let out another sigh, but this one sounded more tired than irritated. He reached in his back-poclet and pulled out a small wooden object, no bigger than a whistle, with what appeared to be a carving of a cat's paw-print on it and threw it where the bear had fallen. "Rest in peace. You got me, you grumpy ol' b******" He looked down into the basin and saw a lynx pull out the tattered body out opf the water and dragged it towards the three cubs waiting on the edge. Artix scoffed at the lynx and proceeded to find a way down the mountain. "Seems I can't get away from this bad habit of working for no benefit. Go figure." He swing his crowwbow over his shoulder and paced along the mountain path. OOC: I think I satisfied rule #10 somewhere in there, right? :P
