SCENARIO: You're driving with some friends and you connect your iPod to your speaker, you press shuffle, and it starts playing your favorite J-Rock song. Your friends are now looking at you like you just ate a used napkin and ask "Can you turn this **** off?" It's not the genre of the music that's an issue, but the fact that it's in a foreign language. Now, in my opinion, music is music, regardless of the language. Sure, no one who doesn't speak Japanese can understand what they're saying, but music has the same appeal no matter what language the lyrics are in. Thoughts?
"Normal" (mind the quotations) is just another word for "Rational" in this case. If people don't understand a behavior, then it's considered as abnormal because it doesn't cross with their perspective of what a Rational behavior is. In other words, they view you the same way they would a clown or a mime. Therefore, confusion ensues, rumours spread, and the word "WEIRD" becomes a new label.
It's basically as bad as a stereotype or it could be on the same principle as a "Your Mom" joke. People are very protective of their lifestyles, making it a very vulnerable spot for some people to come in and voluntarily offend a person.
I liked YouTube before these corporations and artists started posting stuff on there and bringing their stupid copyright crap along. They have their own sites for that. YouTube's slogan is "Broadcast Yourself" meaning that it's for the people by the people. It's a means for ordinay people to try and commut to the world via mass media to express creativity, opinion, e.t.c. What YouTube is now is none of that, and I find it very unfortunate because YouTube is now just a corporate marker for advertisements and consumption. Still, it'd be worse if they didn't let people put up whatever they wanted, so all's well that ends well, I suppose. ALl I'm saying is that YouTube was never meant to be as stupid as it is right now :\
Mike Shinoda. He lays it how I like it.
Absolutely LOVIN' it. It's become my favorite Samurai anime xD
My favorite would probably be Black Cat. It's got way more content than the anime, and that settles just fine with me ;D
I've read the manga, but for some reason, the anime doesn't really appeal to me at all. I'll probably try to get around to it again, but for now I'm happy with the manga. I still don't understand why they're changing the main characters for Season 2, though :\
*shoots* NEVER......EVER...bring up Tenacious D in a thread about James Blunt. EVER!
Spoiler :why?: That was the EXACT trap I was worried about..... Well, the end result is the same, except you still have Malicious Fiend and your Life Points. Game Status: My Life Points: 7500 Your Life Points: 8000 Cards in my hand: 0 Cards on my Field: Monsters: Red Dragon Archfiend, Spells/Traps: N/A Cards in Graveyard: Vice Dragon, Flare Resonator, Swords of Concealing Light, Rush Recklessly, Call of the Haunted, Assault Mode Activate, Red Dragon Archfiend/Assault Mode, Monster Reborn, Graceful Charity, Flamvell Dragnov, Armed Dragon LVL10, Majestic Dragon, Jester Confit.
It's banned because many powerful cards that have a discard cost would be costless (i.e. Magic Jammer, Phoenix Wing Wind Blast, Lightning Vortex, Raigeki Break, e.t.c.). This card is considered broken instead of being considered as a splashable card.
