I'm going to try being the more peaceful one here.

I gave Sword Art Online a try, and I even finished it, despite season 1 getting boring or laughably bad at times (don't get me started on the whole Yui parenting thing again my God) and season 2 just being complete trash.

You can at least give Cowboy Bebop a chance. Put away your "distaste for western series" (which is just a poor excuse in my opinion,) and it's not even that violent. I'm pretty sure there's at least one or two episodes without any shooting or violence at all. THERE'S EVEN AN EPISODE OF THE CAST TRIPPING ON SHROOMS. INCLUDING THE CORGI.

I'd recommend Flamethrower, or Fire Punch/ThunderPunch if you can get the tutor. Maybe Toxic if your Flygon's defensive enough.

I've actually seen people complain about Honedge being too complicated. Yeah. A sword with a sheath that has some swirls on it, is apparently "too much."
