Droids in general are great phones. My current one, the Droid Razr Maxx, has ridiculously good battery life, and is all-around really nice. Maybe the Droid Razr M would be good for you? Costs about $50 with the 2 year activation. Main downsides are unremarkable photos and unremovable battery (like my own phone.) Here's a CNET review.
FINALLY we get to see Red animated. Wonder how long the series is going to run, hopefully at least to the battle with Gold on Mt. Silver, but I'd love if we got to see Red in the X/Y generation.

I disagree, but not completely. There are many games that have really good design these days, but I'm seeing a lot of design flaws these days too that I didn't see in the PS2/Xbox/Gamecube era, one of the biggest errors being how players learn to play the game and deal with obstacles.
