Well, thanks for all the Dark Souls advice fellows, 'preciate it a lot. My friend who's beaten the game a few times is also helping out. Also the only time I'm really getting whipped is my own fault for trying to take on too many foes without paying attention to all of them, messing up parries, and/or timing my own swings wrong. What have I done. Yo 3 hours later and I killed the Tauros Demon and the Fang Boar or whatever it's called. Trying to take the first Knight on was ugh so I'll just come back to it. Spear OP. K I figured that part out lol. And exploration is IN MY BLOOD. Just the standard speedy warrior for now. I'm pretty good with parrying basic enemies but Knights are a different story. I fell in love with the scythe the moment I saw it in a video my friend looked up for the Capra Demon. Dat range hnnnng.
