YEAH BECAUSE AN HD CABLE AND A NON-SHITTY TV MAKE MORE OF A DIFFERENCE THAN I THOUGHT.

Just want to state that I in no way am on one side or another of this perceived "console vs. PC" debate. I was simply trying to explain some things that I felt needed explaining, which just so happened to be more about PC's than about consoles. I like my PS3 and Wii too, though, and would never get rid of them because they're more portable and are easier to use for local multiplayer *shrug*

    Bro...can we not go here?

This is accurate, from what I learned in a Biopsychology course. It's kinda neat because REM Sleep has more brainwave activity than the first few cycles of sleep.

    Divergent

Yeah, I have no clue why people are getting so hyped about this either. It sounds like an attempt to feed off of the young adult book-to-film adaptations hype that The Hunger Games film series has been making.

Found this in like 10 seconds.

I don't think we'll come to an agreement on this part, but how is building a cheap but powerful computer not very viable for an average person? From my personal experience, I had zero skill in building computers, but I pretty much figured it out from watching my dad, my brother, and a friend build the one I'm currently using in maybe half an hour with barely any difficulty, and a person can also just look up instructions on the internet free of charge. The biggest skill you need really is reading competence.

I don't really have anything substantial to say on the subject of piracy and cracks. The only time I've really been pissed off about DRM though is being unable to play Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon without logging into uPlay, which is being dismantled anyway.

I've had a burning desire to build my own PC for like half a year now, having spent a lot of time researching parts and preparing a build on PC Part Picker, but the only thing I lack is the money, since I don't work and I'm paying university tuition now. My schedule as it is doesn't really allow me to have a well-paying job without sacrificing ALL SOCIAL CONTACT lol

Maybe I can build one over the summer with a summer job. I'd love that. Having my own PC sounds amazing ._.

I'm kinda in the same boat with being unsure about what exactly is the point you guys (Hatok and PAW) are making right now, no offense :<

For me, I always had faith in Anne Hathaway as Catwoman, which is awesome because she felt like the best character in that film to me; lots of charm, an understandable motivation, some of the best comedic lines in the Nolan trilogy, and just overall a well-portrayed heroine in an era where we're sorely lacking such things on the big screen in terms of, oddly enough, superhero films. Bane was cool up until they tried to actually give an explanation of his motivations, where he just falls flat. Also, Gotham in Bane's "anarchic rule" didn't work out for me because somehow the place with loose criminals looks RIDICULOUSLY CLEAN. Look at the streets and walls and people's clothing during that part of the film. It's better than where I live or go to school.

I was able to enjoy the film the first time I saw it because I had subconsciously switched my brain off at some point in the film, but when I actually had to think about what was good about it, I had a tough time, which is really sad to me because I had put so much faith in Nolan and Goyer at that point.

I kinda feel fine with fan interpretations so long as they don't actually interfere with the canon of a story or plot, like if someone said "Bane killed Batman in The Dark Knight Rises," it's obviously untrue because of everything we see and hear.

Also jeez I just can't stand thinking about The Dark Knight Rises. So much went wrong with that film in so many different categories :\

For one, I don't think that the two things (experience and time-filling) can't coincide. And your argument that there are free games to play instead of paying money for "fancier versions" almost sounds like the argument you're making about paying for one high quality game instead of paying the same price or lower for multiple high quality games.

Also, I feel uncomfortable that you put video games as a way to spend time that can easily be replaced by other means. For many of us, sure, it's easy to find something else to enjoy as much as video games, but there are people who don't get that same joy out of other media. What would you say to those people?

I can say from personal experience that there are series that I've watched both in Japanese and English, and preferred the English. Dragon Ball Z, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Cowboy Bebop, Fooly Cooly, Code Geass, to name a few. And from how much I've watched subbed anime, I don't really feel like I'm putting much of any effort now to read the subtitles while also seeing what's on screen.

Eh, it's the same situation that I've talked to you about before (separate a fan base from a game) though it's tougher when it's so focused on multiplayer, so I get it kinda.

One of my joke explanations is that he's an alien who's trying to write captivating stories in an attempt to understand how human beings work. At least that explanation works when you look at shit like BEYOND: Two Souls.

Mate, it couldn't be worse than when I was the only person in my friend group for a while who actually thought Sword Art Online was trash and not 10/10 material :D

I don't think that people should never accept them. It's up to them on a personal level. A writer shouldn't really tell a fan "NO IT MEANS THIS," because the writer already made his/her product, and the customer can interpret it however he/she wants to. Though they can still have weak interpretations :>

It hurts to know some people can miss good writing like that :<

Because some people have to be conscious of the price of gaming. I totally agree that quality should trump quantity, but I know many people who'd rather be able to play 10 great games from Humble Bundles or GOG/GMG/Steam sales or what-have-you on a PC for the same price (or often less) than the price of just one great game on a console.

Yeah, I rarely (if ever) accept fan theories as true or part of being true, and I too enjoy the mystery behind that film's version of The Joker, but it's still cool to me when people make plausible connections.

Have you read the fan theory that states that The Dark Knight's Joker is ex-military? It's more-than-likely not true, but I enjoyed reading about the explanation, such as how the Joker doesn't have any difficulty with operating an RPG from a moving vehicle.

Don't expect that. As has been pointed out, to create those graphics in a pre-rendered scene already takes a lot of time and effort (which costs money from the animators doing this stuff.) Expecting those same graphics being rendered in real-time? Yeah no. While the PS4 and Xbox One both can render some damn good graphics, they're still not as extensive in detail as the current high-end PC's, which are only limited in their power by the latest released components and the games that utilize the best graphical settings, and thus would be the only platform to realistically be able to run such high-end graphics as are seen in Kingdom Hearts' pre-rendered cutscenes at a decent frame-rate.

The graphics I've seen so far in just the two released trailers are already quite impressive, and I don't doubt they'll be even better with the eventual gameplay footage, so I'm alright with how Kingdom Hearts III is looking to be in the graphics department.

I think she (?) means that the DS had to tone down those PS2 model-using cutscenes to fit on the DS cartridge. I kinda see it with the coloration and slight pixelation, where you wouldn't with the original PS2 games.

"And it's not just for boys either!"

"HEY YOU KNOW HOW TO SPELL MISSISSIPPI WITH ONE EYE???"

    "Hey Andrew, what's up?" "heyyyyyyyy"

"...and not all that cybernet stuff"

"Surfing? That sounds pretty cool already!"

"Wanna write a letter to President Clinton?"

"I told you it was cool!"

    Ah, the 90's.
