Oh, my bad ._. They can probably like, compact themselves in her suit? I honestly don't care enough to think about it that hard, and I really don't get the bias against fictional characters looking attractive while doing cool things. This isn't something new, and I hardly feel that high heels are the worst things that could have happened to Samus (again, Other M happened.) But, you said yourself that you make exceptions, so why not just let this go?
I'm pretty sure I won't be alone in preferring the style in which they implemented the rocket propulsion system through heels than fatter soles or platform shoes. I find them stylish, not degrading. Why can't people ease off the designers for this one thing? Samus isn't suddenly a weak character who needs the protection of a man (well...so long as you don't look at the abominable plot of Other M.)
I guess Chell from Portal also falls into this category.
To me, IV's only matter for players who play perfectly. Just as I've seen in many strategy games, it's strategy that wins more times than genetics.
I'm eager to hear, because, as Vivi helps put it Like, every review of Yaiba I've read or even glanced at has been disappointed with the game. Even Liam of the Super Best Friends Zaibatsu, who wanted to like it, didn't find it good at all :<
I WANNA KICK SOME AAAAAAAAAAAAASS FC is 5429-7906-2041
So tell me how Yaiba is.
Only once people stop making shite game "journalism" discussions (oh yeah I dun think that's stopping any time soon) :> While I personally don't mind the heels at all on Samus (as I've stated,) Bayonetta's whole persona is sexualization. She chooses to sexualize herself, but only to establish dominance, kinda like "Yeah, I'm sexy, and can kick your ass." Samus comes off as more a character who wears them for function, and wouldn't care if they looked ugly or not, but thankfully the designers know better than to give her stupid bulky-looking (more importance on the word "looking") combat boots. ALSO I LIKE THE BLUE AND YELLOW.
Alright alright alright. Let's talk about Metal Gear Solid 3.
Standing in heels forces your body into a different posture that visibly displays the parts of your body that are usually sexualized in women: the chest and the butt, due to causing the body to curve differently because of the shift in weight caused by wearing the heeled shoes, while also giving off the impression of longer, more slender legs, which many people in the modern age seem to like in women. The effect is exaggerated further as the length of the heel is increased.
Yeah, that pretty much encapsulates my own opinion on everyone who thinks Zero Suit Samus is such a sin. Like, what the fuck do people want? Samus to never be shown as a strong character out of her suit? Doesn't her being able to kick ass outside the suit only further show how strong she is, both physically and mentally? As I said, the social justice bandwagon just feels so strongly associated with the arguments. I personally quite like that she doesn't look like this.
Here's an article I just found that details some of the changes, mainly the heels. And then another article about representation.
So I've been seeing a bit of discussion lately about the design of Samus's appearance while outside her Chozo-made Power Suit, with one of my friends calling it "the most disgusting thing ever to happen to a strong video game character," calling it chauvinistic, and many other people writing off the design as sexist, meant to "appeal solely to men." Hell, there was a discussion in this very Spam Zone a while back about how her new heels apparently escalate that idea, being "unnecessary" in many people's minds. I personally dislike these claims that the Zero Suit is sexist. It's not at all different from the sneaking suits that Solid Snake or Raiden use in much of the Metal Gear Solid series, and nobody seems to raise issue with those outfits. Also, she doesn't suddenly become a weaker-willed person in the Zero Suit; she's sneaking around simply due to being unable to use her suit, but she's still kicking ass, and apparently becomes quicker (this part I kinda get confused by why the Power Suit wouldn't be faster...) To me, a lot of the debate feels like people trying to jump on the social justice bandwagon, but it's not as informed of an opinion just yet. What do you guys think about the arguments against the Zero Suit?
It's just ok.
I really enjoyed Burial at Sea. They should never have taken away having more than two weapons at a time, and I especially liked the shift in gameplay style present in Episode II. I enjoyed Infinite and all, but far too much of the gameplay consisted of shooting dudes without much room for strategizing. The crossbow and Peeping Tom plasmid together made the game a joy, sneaking around and timing my precious 4 bolts (of each ammo type.) Also, I really liked the story, helping fill in parts of both Bioshock and Infinite. The best thing to me was how they fixed Daisy Fitzory's character. I really didn't like how she changed in Infinite, but Episode II really helped explain her dynamic. One thing I do wish there were more of were the Big Daddies and Boys of Silence. I really think Infinite squandered the Boys of Silence.
Well damn I better just off myself now ;.;
My bad. You too Nights.
Draw Popstar Ahri pls
Her and Black Panther kicking all of the ass pls.
I feel like this is sort of a trick question. Yes, I like the film universe Wolverine, but it's not his fault that the writers and directors aren't balancing focus onto more characters than him. He's always entertaining to see, even in the worst films of the series, but there needs to be more of other people thrown in too.
