So someone actually seems to have found the original PC graphics that were showcased at E32012. Here's a link. Here are some shots people got with the mod: Spoiler
Uh...the game looks surprisingly good on the PS3, especially with how huge its world is compared to most console games.
This is pretty much the first time I've actually heard someone say that. Most reviews I've read paint Aiden as being a gigantic hypocrite and having little to no personality. Was just wondering though since I haven't started my playthrough of the game yet. Will soon though :>
Bonus: the Wii-U has the best YouTube app of the current-gen consoles so far.
BTW, what do you think of Watch_Dogs so far?
I'm not including games I played on other systems (like Shadow of the Colossus on the PS3): One of the best character action games ever. Choc-full of personality, amazingly implemented mechanics, interesting character/weapon/enemy designs, a solid story, good voice-acting, good music, etc. Only gripe is the platforming bits and the kinda boring level design in some spots. Vergil boss fights are my life. The best Dragon Ball Z game ever made. I say that with no regrets. Solid fighting game action where the characters actually feel pretty unique from each other instead of being essentially different skins, a decent story mode, an awesome tournament mode, great graphics, and fun ways to customize characters via items and move sets. Probably the most polarizing titles in the series, but I still love it. A great story that amazingly connects its themes to the plot and gameplay in ways people still aren't realizing, and tons of memorable moments. I'd definitely call Metal Gear Solid 3 a classic (YEAH ATLAS THAT'S RIGHT.)
Max Payne 1 and 2 are very easy to run. Max Payne 3 on the other hand...if you don't have a good computer, just play it on a console. Also, I personally found the first two games better over all. MP3 has amazing gunplay, but the writing is really weak compared to MP1 and MP2, as well as lacking much of the personality (MP1 and MP2 have recurring TV shows that Max can watch, for instance.) I also still don't think Brazil fits Max well for an environment, but MP3 is a really good game if you don't expect much in the writing department. I agree, the film was a solid sci-fi action affair. Tom Cruise was perfectly cast for his character. Only gripe was the finale, where the creativity dipped kinda low, but the ending and everything else were enjoyable.
It's part of the themes for Devil May Cry. Sparda (Dante's father) was one of the strongest demons, but he ended up caring about humanity after examining them so much. So to protect humanity, he went against his own kind, sealing the netherworld and separating the human world and the demon world. Later on, he married a human named Eva, who gave birth to Dante and Vergil. While Dante enjoys the human world and the human lifestyle (he even tries running a store,) his brother Vergil chooses to pursue furthering his demonic power. I like Devil May Cry ok.
So my main thoughts for many of the games shown in E3: Spoiler
This game looks so up my avenue. I've enjoyed Dark Souls, but this game's setting is much more akin to my interests, reminding me of a Whitechapel-esque era, complete with firearms and big-ass jackets (something I also like in The Order: 1886.) Dark Souls II was developed by From Software's B-team; Miyazaki wasn't the director, and the producers were also different. Still, for a B-team game, Dark Souls II is far from being bad. Also, it might just be me, but I don't expect any drop in quality since this is a PS4 exclusive, and doesn't have to be ported to anything else.
And I'll be over here with Bayonetta having one of the best newer female characters in gaming.
Willy Wonka > Charlie n e day
Surprised there isn't a more recent thread for them, but whatevs. Anyway, they used to be one of my favorite bands up to Meteora, but haven't really interested me since the release of Minutes to Midnight, mostly being hit or miss in the past few years. Their newest album, The Hunting Party, is about to release tomorrow (June 13, 2014,) and it might be the first time I've anticipated a Linkin Park album in more than 6 years. Every song I've heard so far (Guilty All the Same, Until It's Gone, Rebellion) have all been...really good, at least to me. It's been both a mixture of their older, more personal style, and their newer, somewhat cleaner(?) sound, without coming off as dull, annoying, or other-band-esque...if that makes sense. I'm gonna stream the full album soon. Does anyone else have thoughts on the new album?
That, and they stuff way too many teams on a single game. And the Metal Gear Solid thing I believe is because you can get an Altair costume in MGS4...dunno why it's in the different game's credits?[/QUOTE]
I was half-joking. I'm not really a fan of The Legend of Zelda, but I think playing as the quintessential villain for once would be a cool twist.
So, nobody thinks it's Ganondorf you play as in the new Zelda game? I think that would be neat ;P
**** man, Scalebound and Sunset Overdrive. I guess I need an Xbox One.
I just look up online if there are credits scenes. If not, I'm taking my piss.
I really just want this Book to be good throughout. Book One and Book Two both have been pretty disappointing, with really promising beginnings and then botched finales, annoying relationships, a general lack of good pacing, and some just over all confusing decisions (Book Two final battle, anyone?) But I do like how different this Book is looking from the previous two, and it reminds me quite a bit of the original Avatar: The Last Airbender series, at least in tone.
