Question 4: Is there anybody you're not a big fan of? Alright! I think that should be good for now! I'll probably have more questions for you soon!!
Illiana had looked over at Taran as he looked down in dejection. She sighed a little before speaking up. "Dallben told you to look after Miss Piggy right? So how can you look after her if something were to happen to you? Besides, we barely know the pig and yet you do. Everybody has a job to do and their own way to go about things. Don't think of it as you being useless or anything like that. Everyone in the world has something that only they can do. Something unique to them. You just have to find what is. Whether it's fighting or calming down a pig, you gotta figure out how you can fight or make your mark on the world." Illiana had her head facing front as she spoke, still holding her umbrella. "But hey, that's just my input on this." She shrugged her shoulders as continued walking. Taran had then went on to explaining just who the Horned King was. "The Horned King is a wicked sorcerer who's remained hidden in his castle for a long time. Dallben told me that the Horned King would use the Black Cauldron to raise an undead army. I've never seen the Horned King but I've heard he has dragons, bandits, and goblins under his command." Illiana listened and nodded her head as he explained. "An undead army....That definitely doesn't sound cliche. Oh well....Never dethroned a king before so...why not? The idea of it intrigues me." She looked over to Taran as he stared at her clothes. "What? Is there a stain on my clothes or something?" He then asked a question. "Where are you and your friends from?" Illiana had placed a finger on her cheek as she thought carefully about her next words before turning to the boy. "We're just some wandering adventurers who's just doing their best to help the weak and the innocent!" Illiana had made a fist and brought it to her chest as she expressively gave her answer. "Any other questions?" She looked over to Taran as she asked. Y'know....This kind of reminds me of... Spoiler: Episode Illiana: Fragment 3- A Lesson and A Letter Hours had passed and those hours had turned into days then into weeks until three months had passed. The sound of an alarm had filled the room as if telling the two people residing there to wake up and start the day. The sun was slowly peeking out from the horizon. Her eyes had slowly started to flutter open. She picked up her head and saw the sunlight pouring in from the window. She removed the covers off her and turned off the alarm until the second one would ring. She changed out of her pajamas into a fresh change of clothes. The girl went into the mirror, brushed her hair, and tied it up into a ponytail. She went back into the room and grabbed a small satchel. She opened the door and carefully closed the door. After walking for a bit, the girl reached the lake that was nearby the training facilities. She sat down on a rock and took out stationary that was in her satchel as well as a pen. As she was writing, she could hear the sounds of leaves cracking. She immediately grabbed the wooden sword she would use for training. “Whoa Whoa! Easy there! Geez Illiana. I know you’re not too much of a morning person but no need to go attacking anyone about it.” The person chuckled a bit as Illiana lowered her sword. A sigh left her lips as she put the wooden sword back in its cloth sheath. “Don’t do that! What would’ve happened if that was an actual sword?!” Illiana sat down on the rock again as the person in front of her was chuckling. “Sorry sorry! I couldn’t help it! But good on you for keeping your guard up! Though don’t you think it’s a little too early for writing letters?” Illiana looked at the stationary in her hand before looking back at her roommate. “I thought I should start a little early today. Who knows if I’ll have time later to write. I thought you would still be asleep, Nina.” Nina scratched her head awkwardly as she chuckled a bit. “Unfortunately, I have a small meeting to go to today so that explains why I’m up so early when I could be in my nice...warm...cozy bed…..Man I hate being me sometimes.” Nina pouted slightly and crossed her arms as she turned her head away. Illiana chuckled a little before writing another sentence down on her paper. “You say that now but in actuality….you like being a Captain.” She continued writing before looking up at Nina. Nina smiled a little bit before chuckling. “Heheh...Yea you’re right. It has its rewards and consequences but I can’t say I hate it. Anyway……” Nina put her hands on her hips before continuing. “You little missie! You should get some more rest before you gotta report in for morning drills! I’m sure you’ll have time during lunch to finish! I don’t want you to lose rest over these letters alright?” Illiana nodded her head before responding. “I’m almost done! Besides, all mail gets sent out around lunch so I need to finish these now or I’ll never hear the end of it next month.” She went back to writing her letter as Nina sighed. “You must really care about your family…..Well I can’t stop you from writing but just make sure you’re not late to morning drills.” Nina smiled slightly as she rousled Illiana’s hair. “Can’t have you ruin your perfect attendance now can I? Besides, it’s my job as your mentor to help you become a great leader for this squad. You know…..” She paused before squatting down to meet Illiana’s eyes. “You can always come to me if you ever need anything or if you need to get something off your chest. I hope you know that.” Illiana looked at Nina for a few moments before smiling and nodding her head. “Y’know…..It doesn’t hurt to rely on someone. Though everybody has their own way of fighting their battles. Might not be in the traditional sense but it’s a way they have all on their own. Just remember that.” Nina rousled her hair once more before walking back to the building leaving Illiana to her letter-writing. She stops for a few moments before looking up at over at the lake. “3 more months…..Away from society and away from the problems it faces…….I better let them know. They’ll be worried sick if I don’t.” Illiana then went back to writing her letter. She had written in her letter that she would not be able to write too many letters since she would be doing some training in a remote location for the next three months. ~4 years have passed~ Illiana continued walking alongside Taran as the fragment of her memory ran through her mind.
Illiana listened as Taran had answered her question. "I've known Dallben ever since I was a child. He found me abandoned as a baby." She nodded her head before speaking a bit. "Interesting. And what about your parents?" Taran's face grew somber before his next sentence left his mouth. "I never knew my real parents." Illiana was a little surprised but spoke up. "Sorry to hear that." Taran, by the tone of his voice, had cheered up a little over Qamar's words. He had then asked about the heartless that had attacked the group earlier. "There were strange monsters back there. How did you all manage to get rid of them? I-I'm sorry I wasn't more help. I would have helped you fight if I could!" Illiana looked over at Taran before placing a hand on her chin to ponder how to word her next sentence. She then crossed her arms and spoke. "You don't need to worry about that. Whenever you see them, just run and hide. Let us take care of them. Just focus on getting back Miss Piggy." Illiana opened up her umbrella again as she rested it on her shoulder. After walking for a little bit, a question had popped into her head. She looked over at Taran once again. "Alright so humor me for a few seconds here but....Just who exactly is the Horned King?" She was a little curious. Obviously, the minute she heard the Horned part, she could piece together just what kind of king they exactly were. Though she thought it wouldn't hurt to get some more information about the king.
Happy Birthday you beautiful person!!!!
Illiana walked over to Thallasa and Taran as they were looking out past the jagged crags and path to a castle in front of them. Illiana looked up to see two dragons carrying the pig, Hen Wen. "Flying pig.....Greaatt. Now I gotta owe somebody 300 munny." She sighed a little bit before looking at the dragons again. She felt the handle of her umbrella grow a bit hot. Illiana looked over as she opened her hand a little. A small fire where her fingers were slowly die down."Interesting..." She whispered to herself as she immediately closed her hand around the handle as she looked back out at the dragons and pig, keeping her face as calm and cool as if nothing happened. She turned back to Taran as he spoke to Gurgi. The argument had started to escalate a little before Taran had walked off. Thallasa had then spoke up after the little spat was over and done with. "We need to go after him." Illiana started to walk of after Taran. "No need to say that twice." Following after Taran, Illiana rested her umbrella back on her shoulder. She rested her free hand on her chin for a moment before returning back to the handle. Illiana had walked up to Taran's side. After a few moments of silence, she decided to speak up. "So....How long have you been with Dallben? If we're gonna be rescuing Miss Piggy with ya, might as well break some ice." She continued walking along with Taran. "You're more than welcome to not answer. Not like anyone's gonna force you to." Illiana looked over at the boy as they continued walking.
Koa looked at the man as he reintroduced himself once again. He had went by the name of Dastgir. Odd...But he wasn't gonna question it. Koa nodded his head before speaking up. "Nice to meet you. My name is Koa. Koa Salavic." Koa placed a hand on his chest as he introduced himself. As Dastgir lifted up his hood, he was starting to say something before Charlie spoke up. He had announced the teams as well as the several tests they would need to complete. "Interesting.....However......In terms of partners...." Koa sighed a little bit before taking a deep breath. Dastgir had asked his question about the realm of light before Charlie had answered one of them. Koa had then walked over to Finlay. "It looks like we've been paired up. This will be interesting." Koa looked over at the rest of the tests that were still left open. One in particular had caught his eye. The Test of Wisdom. "Hmm...This one doesn't seem too bad. Hey Finlay. Let's try the test of wisdom. What do you think?" Koa looked over to his teammate as he waited for his opinion.
Illiana looked over as Aria pointed the way to Thallasa. She then started to walk in that direction, taking the lead of the group. Illiana shrugged her shoulders before following behind her. As the group walked ahead, Qamar had ran up to Aria, striking up a conversation. She didn't really pay much attention as she walked. She began zoning out for a little bit before Qamar spoke out to her and Glyde. "Anybody want an energy bar?" Illiana immediately looked up at the trees before immediately jumping up to one of the branches. She continued her trek above in the trees. Walking and jumping from branch to branch, Illiana kept her eyes peeled for any sign of Thallasa. Qamar had then spoke up once again. "I believe we're nearly there." Illiana looked up ahead and immediately turned her head slightly while keeping her eyes forward. "Master, Client, and Piggy dead ahead." Illiana continued her trek through the branches as she inspected the ground. Faint footprints had been left along the path ahead of them. Some of the footprints had resembled one of a pig. "Now we're definitely on the right track...." Illiana jumped down from the branch she was on, opened up her umbrella again and continued the trek on foot.
Yukyo pulled the reins immediately as he saw the wall come up. The horses immediately stopped in their tracks. The young man immediately looked up and saw the same bird fly back toward. "Well that didn't take ol' Bird Brain that long." Yukyo immediately tried to calm down the horses before looking back to Lakoda. "Lakoda take the reins!! See if you can find an alternate path!" Yukyo handed over the reins to Lakoda as he made his way to the back of the wagon. Shawn had immediately asked the other two. "Should I throw the box or send boulders behind us, or use sandstorm?" Yukyo chimed in with an immediate response. "A definitive no to the boulder and sandstorm!! Not while we have the cakes and our own safety to worry about!!" He looked over at the bird before looking back at Shawn as he took the box. Yukyo jumped up from the wagon and immediately threw the box. "Does Polly want a cracker?! Here! Just for you!!!" Yukyo threw the box at the bird before making his way back to the wagon. He jumped back into the wagon as he went up to Lakoda. "We need to move!!"
Illiana will take 2 AP boosts and will learn Doublecast!
Velvet looked over in shock as the woman had summoned her hell hounds. She slowly took her steps back. She watched in fear as the hell hounds had started devouring the civilians of Kintargo. She couldn't believe her eyes. She didn't want to believe any of this was happening. Velvet immediately tore her eyes away as she started to head away from the hell hounds. She decided to follow the crowd as they ran. She didn't know the city very well and she wasn't about to run off in another direction that might lead her to a dead end. She looked back for a moment before turning her head back to the front again. All she wanted to do was gather a little bit more knowledge. She didn't know what the price would be to even learn even a smidge of the knowledge she seeks. Velvet ran along with the crowd toward the south-west in hopes the hell hounds wouldn't reached them.
Illiana had gotten knocked back by several gargoyles. She took a moment to get back onto her feet. She brought her fans back together to reform her blade. "I've had enough!! You're starting to waste my time and breath!!" Illiana charged up to three of the five remaining gargoyles. Cutting through each one, she ran her blade across each gargoyle, reducing them to nothing but smoke. She then snuck up on another gargoyle before running her keyblade through the heartless' chest. Illiana stood in front of the last gargoyle, just a few feet away as she lifted her blade to point at the heartless. Ice had begun to gather around her blade, charging up for a spell casting. She smirked for a moment before casting her spell. "Freeze!" Her ice spell immediately shot from her keyblade and over to the gargoyle, turning into nothing more than a block of ice. Illiana walked up to it before poking it with one finger, immediately shattering the ice. HP: 13/60 MP: 3/30 AP: 8/56 DP: 3/3 Used Combo Plus and Casted Blizzara Defeated 5 Gargoyles All heartless have been eliminated! Illiana had put away her blade for now as it turned back to its form of disguise. She opened up her umbrella and reached into it, grabbing a teacup filled with chamomile tea. She took a couple sips of it before turning to the group. "Alright. Now that that's done and over with. We need to get to Thallasa. Can't exactly do our job if our client and his pig is nowhere to be seen." Taking another sip of her tea, she looked around the area to get a small idea of which direction Thallasa went. Illiana finished up her tea and dropped it back into her umbrella. She lifted it up and turned back to the other three. "Anybody got any idea as to which way she went? Rather not go on a wild goose chase."
Velvet stepped back a bit from the corpse and proceeded to move toward the fountain. She ran past the trees and out into the open. She had stopped by the fountain and looked out at the remaining thugs. Velvet moved 25 feet!
Illiana had gotten knocked back once more by the heartless again. She hunched over a little bit before standing back up. She tried to catch her breath as she looked at the heartless again. Illiana had thought about her next move as she was catching her breath. With the heartless dwindling in numbers, she could take out another type of heartless immediately or she can heal herself and almost take out the rest of the Invisibles. After thinking about it for a few more moments, Illiana had figured out her next move. She charged toward the last of the invisibles. Slicing through the invisibles one by one, she then snuck behind another invisible and cut through it. Illiana jumped back and orb of magic had started to gather at the point of her fans again. She shot out the two magic orbs at the last Invisible and the other at a Gargoyles. Illiana lowered her fans and took a deep breath. HP: 16/60 AP: 2/56 MP: 0/30 DP: 3/3 Used Combo Plus Used Ruin Heartless Defeated: 5 Invisibles 1 Gargoyle Heartless Remaining: 27 (16 AP) 5 Air Pirates (12 AP)
Koa sighed a little bit before crossing his arms as he looked at the board again. Lost in thought, Koa wasn't aware when a man came up to him, introducing himself. I wonder what this 'Reaper's Game' will challenge us to do.... The man's voice pulled him away from his thoughts. "Huh? What? I'm sorry. I wasn't paying attention. I apologize." He looked over at the man as he reached out his hand for a hand-shake. He wasn't sure why the man had his hand out but he wasn't going to question it. Koa put his glasses back on and spoke again. "You said your name was Dastsir? I'm sorry again I wasn't paying attention." He crossed his arms as he addressed the man. He had felt a little guilty for not paying attention while he was off in his own world.
Illiana had gotten knocked down a couple times no thanks to the heartless. She stood right back up and saw Taran leave after the pig. "Hey!" Before she could say anything else, Thallasa had then ran after Taran, leaving the four to deal with the rest of the heartless. "Annddd she's gone.....Oh well." She shrugged her shoulders before turning back to the heartless. "First of all..." She rose her fans together and a healing light had washed over her. She took a deep breath before lowering her fans. "Can't have that happening. Back to business." She looked over and saw three more Invisibles headed her way. She ran over to the enemies tossing her fans toward them. As they traveled forward and back to their owner, they sliced through each Invisible one by one in their path. As the fans returned to the hands of Illiana, she immediately jumped and cut through one more Invisible while its back was turned to her. Once she stood back up, a small yawn had escaped her. "Probably gonna need a nap after this. Or maybe some tea...Hmmm...Oh well. I'll figure it out later." Illiana shrugged her shoulders once more before scoping out just how many heartless still remain. Illiana looked back and forth as the discussion between Taron and Gurgi unfolded. With Aria being the mediator of the problem, it had seemed everyone was on the same page. As the group set off, they had found the very pig they were looking for. Unfortunately, it had been surrounded by a swarm of heartless. "Well isn't this inconvenient?" She casually place her hand on her hip while the other rose up while she shrugged her shoulders. As the others sprung into action, Illiana surveyed the area and looked at how many heartless were left. She nodded her head and immediately grabbed her blade. "Congrats you small fry have now become my punching bags! How wonderful!" She tossed her keyblade up as she clapped her hands together before splitting them apart. "Split!" Her keyblade had pulled apart itself into two fans. The fans had spun their way back into her hands. The group of Soldier heartless standing around her had finally started charging toward her. Illiana used her fans to cut down the soldiers. She then tossed both of them toward the soldiers. Slicing through the last Soldier heartless, the fans returned back to her hand. She crossed her arms while using one hand to fan herself. "Well that wasn't much of a challenge." Out of the corner of her eye, an Invisible heartless had started creeping up toward her. A slight smirk appeared on her lips as she immediately jumped up and tossed her fans, slicing through the lone heartless. Two more Invisibles had started to make their way. She placed her fan in front of her horizontally as magic had started to gather at the point of her fan. "Bye Bye" With that, she spun around, sending the magic at the two Invisibles in a barrage. She turned around and began fanning herself once more. "Almost broke a sweat. Interesting. Oh well." She shrugged her shoulders before turning back toward the heartless. Velvet looked over at the armored man as he spoke out to the people about their concerns. Once he had announced a new proclamation, the crowd immediately went into a frenzy. "Oh no..." Within the blink of an eye, the impending fight that had been threatening to break loose, had immediately sparked and burst forth. Dangerous objects had been thrown onto the stage and had managed to strike itself into the red-haired woman's throat. Velvet gasped at what she had saw right before her eyes. The woman pulled out the knife as her skin had started sew and repair itself from the damages sustained. "What in the world?" Velvet didn't know what to do. Would she interfere and partake in this frenzy of a battle? Or would she back away and run from the fight? As she was debating, she looked over and saw a thug with his back turned to her. Velvet thought about it for another moment. She walked away from the water and started to sneak up behind the thug. I can't walk away and let this fight get out of hand. Velvet continued to sneak up behind the thug. She slowly pulled out her rapier. As she reached the thug's back, she ran her rapier right through the thug's chest. She pulled out her sword immediately and swung down away from her to remove the blood that had covered her sword. Velvet took a deep breath and looked away from the corpse. Luna looked over at Aux as he patted her and Ignis' back. No Heart was drawing closer and closer. Aux and several others were stalling him. Luna looked over and headed to the boats. Two members of group had already onto the boat. Luna looked at the three boats and looked at the one in the middle. She climbed into the boat and looked back as No Heart was still being stalled. Luna shouted at those who were stalling No Heart. "Come on guys!! We can fight another day!!! We have to get out of here!!" Luna was worried about the others, not sure if they would be able to get to the boats in time. [Luna is on the boat headed to the Native Grounds]
Noire looked over as the other team had finally arrived. She looked over at both groups and cleared her throat. "Alright listen up! Before we head out, there's something you guys gotta know. Now I'm sure you've noticed that Qrow's not here right now. That's because there's been a change of plans for him. So for now, I'll be your guide for the rest of the journey. Glad we understand." Noire turned around and faced the forest. She cracked her knuckles and spoke again. "Alright let's head out!!" She walked into the forest with the two teams. "Make sure you stay close to your teams. The forest can get a little confusing to navigate through!!" After awhile, the group comes up to a fork in the road. Noire stopped and faced the two groups. "So here's the deal. These two paths lead into a part of the forest we're looking for. One group is going to go on the left path and the other group goes on the right. The temple of Caspian is nearby and from here there will be trials to get to it. So decide amongst yourselves on which team goes on which path. As for me, I'll be taking the right path." Noire crossed her arms as she spoke to the teams about the road ahead.
