Yeah, nobody knew what the artist intended until probably that manga scan.

Here you can see all the different looks for him so far.

For whatever reason I was expecting Mortal Kombat 2011 before I remembered MK8 was technically Armageddon which was meh.

This. To decapitate means to sever. A punch isn't really meant for severing; more so for blunt force. A chop or swipe, on the other hand (ha!) would work for decapitation.

Well...maybe if you punched just the neck of someone?

Also, I'd think that if you were able to effectively sever one's head, your hand should be able to withstand that same force you're exerting? I don't care to look up the physics of this personally >.>

Ah, I agree with that then. An "Imperfect" tournament ;p

Also, just so we can get some clear replies: do you guys want Mega Gengar and/or Mega Lucario banned? I would like to just like to know some thoughts before I put up poll threads.

Hey man, I ended up agreeing with you on Mega Lucario being fine. He's a bit strong, but as you pointed out, not that difficult to take down (mainly cause you can at least switch to a counter.)

What we could do is simply ask the majority of whomever ends up wanting to do this tournament thing at all (if it even happens lol) whether they want the two banned. Don't have to follow other sites' rules to the letter :p

Whatever, I still think Mega Gengar is overpowered for the reasons I stated.

    Fine, Mega Lucario works.

As much as I'd like Method 1, the Beginner level thing doesn't seem that well implemented, just because I think plenty of the participants will know how EV training works and what generated Pokemon are.

Since we can't really come to a decision on using generated Pokemon in 3DS games, I'd say we just stick to using the simulator for the time being. Method 2 it is, unless someone can come up with something that works better?

Well, I haven't really heard any demand for Mega Pokemon other than Mega Blaziken and Mega Kangaskhan being banned.

Do you guys want Mega Gengar and/or Mega Lucario banned? Just asking to see thoughts.

A bit of a ******y response, but regardless:

It's not just the typing; it's the fact that Mega Gengar keeps you from potentially getting your counter to it out, which is almost always the response one gets from "THIS IS OP". The ability, coupled with how ridiculously strong the Pokemon is if you don't happen to have one of your counters to it out at the time (or at the very least something that can resist and stall it), makes it, in my opinion, pretty unfair.

Because Gyrados still has a 4x weakness, and doesn't have Adaptability.

It is what I'm saying :P

Anyone else want to comment on keeping Blaziken unbanned, so long as it has the Blaze ability and no Mega Stone?

Well, someone might want to still use a Blaze ability Blaziken without its Mega Stone. I don't think we'd be against it, but what do you think?

Have fun. I highly recommend picking up the Metal Gear games (Rising is great for newcomers,) Shadow of the Colossus HD, Catherine, and some of the RPG's.

That rule is basically the same rule used in the official Pokemon video game tournaments, though tweaked a bit.

....reading it again, I might have to change my proposed rule on those situations a little.

I really dislike Mega Gengar because of how ridiculously fast and hard it hits. Shadow Tag is a pain and prevents being able to switch to a counter. And yeah, you could Earthquake it, but that's only if you can survive stuff like a 170 Sp. Atk STAB Shadow Ball or Sludge Bomb or something along those lines.

Mega Lucario is a bit easier to take care of, since you can at least switch to a counter, and he's not as fast as Mega Gengar. Still, if you don't kill it fast enough or have good counters still around on your party, a Swords Dance or Nasty Plot makes it really hard to survive its sweep.
