I was gonna say, no matter what, the film has just far too many issues on such a basic level for me to regard it as anything more than a great spectacle, but it mostly fails at making that spectacle unique to Superman. When it does it well, it's great though, like when he first dons the suit.

Also, I just feel like this version of Superman doesn't really do much interesting in terms of differentiating itself from the classic story. Sure, there's the controversial finale, but...not much else worth talking about except to criticize (which goes back to, again, storytelling and film making.)

And this is coming from someone who tried to defend the film at first. It only lasted so long before I couldn't deny all the stuff it does wrong.

I strongly prefer the original Metal Gear Solid 1, personally. While most of the voice actors were the same between games, there was one change that I really disliked: Gray Fox's voice actor, who was Greg Eagles in the original, and was replaced by Rob Paulsen. Also, I kinda prefer not being able to aim down my sights with every weapon, as the game becomes far too easy with that. The over-the-top cutscenes are too over-the-top if you ask me. Over all, I think Metal Gear Solid 1 is the better game than The Twin Snakes.

As Atlas puts it, it'd be best to try both and see what you like.

I disagree with this. They may have the better graphics, but the cutscenes are far better acted and directed (in my opinion) in the original version of the game.

Pretty much what Libre's been saying: play them in release order rather than chronological. The story just flows better that way (which is to say, in a somewhat bizarre way.)

Metal Gear Solid HD Collection has MGS2, MGS3, and Peace Walker. It's available on PS3, Xbox 360, and Vita (I think the Vita one is missing Peace Walker though.)
Metal Gear Solid 1 is available on the Playstation Network store, usually for $10. I recommend this version above the Gamecube remake, The Twin Snakes, and apparently so does Kojima.
Metal Gear Solid 4 is exclusive to the Playstation 3.
Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops is I believe only on the PSP. Same with the AC!D games (which are a separate continuation.)
Metal Gear Solid Ghost Babel is only on the Gameboy Color, and takes place in an alternate timeline.
Metal Gear Rising is on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is available on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and soon PC. The Phantom Pain will be on the same systems.
Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake are originally NES titles that you'll best find in The Legacy Collection that I'll describe below.

There are also a few digital graphic novels, the database on the PS3, and a booklet.

All of the Kojima-directed games released before Metal Gear Rising (which I underlined) EXCEPT GHOST BABEL are available as parts of Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection, which is exclusive to the Playstation 3.

Agree with this a lot. It's important that you see Raiden the way he was intended to be initially seen before he turns into the cyborg ninja we're all familiar with.

You hear it run, and then, if you don't close the door in time, you die in a scream.

The worst to me is the Fox.

    The damn Fox.

IT RUNS AT YOU IF YOU DON'T WATCH IT.

YOU HAVE ONLY SECONDS TO STOP IT.

You're the new night watch at a family entertainment known for its animatronic show. Your initial job is to simply watch the cameras, but as you listen to your predecessor's voice mail, you find out that the animatronic puppets like to roam around the place at night. If they see you? You're mistaken for one of the endoskeletons and you're stuffed into a suit that will crush your bones and organs through the faceholes. You have to thus survive from 12AM to 6AM. Your power supply is limited. You have blind spots right next to your office. Everything from using the camera systems to turning on lights to (your only saving point) closing the two doors, uses power.

And you have Five Nights to do this.

I did say that I hope they don't make the riddles like P.T., but it's at least showing that these guys know not to hold our hands, something that horror games would really do better to remember.

    SHIT I'M LATE

Anyway, Gurren Lagann is my second favorite anime of all time (first being Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood.) It essentially got me through my middle school - high school slump of disliking myself and being an introvert, because I genuinely felt a connection to Simon on his own journey through his world. It has awesome fight scenes in mechs that end up the size of several galaxies, a powerfully told message about believing in one's self and not accepting the limitations set upon you by the world around you, and THESE

The English dub is just ok to me, but I say watch it in Japanese, especially for Kamina.

Kill la Kill, while not quite as well done as Gurren Lagann, is still in my top 10 of all time. It's super fun, with a stronger supporting cast than Gurren Lagann (the Four Devas, Mako, Satsuki, etc. are freaking awesome.) Fan service? Dude, generally fan service is one of the embarrassing things about anime to me (I can't stand stuff like Queen's Blade or High School of the Dead,) yet here, with girls and guys constantly bearing it all, it never felt exploitative to me, mainly because the stripping almost never weakened a character, either physically or mentally. Rather, I really liked the arguments against feeling shame about showing one's body. I will admit that the animation ranges from choppy to fucking sweet, but I didn't mind since the team was working with a more limited budget and time window. Over all, it's one of the most fun anime I've watched in years.

    Your wording implied that you would take anything unlike those two;

    therefore, my response.

But smart assing aside; I want some more innovative, thought provoking riddles (like the one in Silent Hill 3 that's actually based on pressing buttons like you're looking at a face), not the baby puzzles of Homecoming...though hopefully nothing as complicated as trying to finish P.T....

I would not agree with that at all; I don't want Silent Hill to become fully first-person, a la Outlast or Amnesia. I don't want another Book of Memories top-down either. Also don't want an arcade shooter.

I really just want to have either the old games' combat style (like Silent Hill 3's, which did it the best in my opinion,) or a new system that can convey awkwardness, a lack of skill, and struggle, while still being enjoyable with practice and better strategizing (learning the weight of weapons, knowing when to dodge and when to attack, the range of your enemies', etc.) Homecoming overdid the combat and turned the game into an action movie where I destroyed everything with dodge rolls and knife combos. Haven't tried Downpour yet but I've heard little good.

    Fuuuuuuck guys chill.

Anyone calling P.T. pretentious doesn't understand the title meaning PLAYABLE TEASER. As in, no shit it's hard to figure out (if it even has been figured out just how to get the ending; there are still only theories.) It's also not a demo; it's literally just a PS4-tech version of those online websites that movies used to have. I really liked it personally.

Second, there will ALWAYS be someone who likes stuff you don't. Boo hoo. Best to move o, especially considering Snake's Revenge is done and has been done for decades. What have you t lose from letting people enjoy it?

Third, Kojima's a good director, but he's still a kook.
