Just a tip, best not to bump a thread that's been inactive for more than 4 months. Yes, I know that's how Gus is meant to be portrayed. It's annoying because he spends so much time spewing these poetic lines that you would NEVER hear an actual person say in a real context. This would be ok if the setting of the film were something that wasn't real life on Earth in the 2010's, but it is, and so Gus comes off as the most fake character in the story, making it hard for me to care nearly as much for him as I did for Hazel, who was for the most part realistic. It's something that I really dislike about young adult books, since it's clearly done to cater to an audience who deserves less hand-holding and romanticism for stories like this. There's a point where substance loses points due to style, and Gus was that for me in this film. I explained the indie image: the use of specific types of music and the unnecessary utilization of hand written messages popping up on screen. The museum thing I pretty much figured out after I typed my original message, but your explanation does work.
Spoiler: Chapter Five of Book Four Man oh man I'm glad that the writers keep making good use of Bolin. Having him initially on Kuvira's side is a great dynamic, since he's pretty much her opposite, to the point he even gets fooled about what she's willing to do for her goals (by they however humble.) Also, awesome to see what I theorized: lava-banding to counter the use of the new and improved mecha tanks. Also, weaponizing spirit energy? Damn son, I'm really looking forward to what Korra's gonna have to face now. It makes me continue to appreciate Kuvira while still finding her way too XTREEEEEME. Wish we got more from Opal besides her "you betrayed me" responses, but I get that the episode was already pretty busy. Asami trying to reconnect with her father was pretty tragic. I'm glad though that she didn't end up completely cutting ties. Sends an important message to people in the same situation I think. Korra herself was probably the most disappointing part of the episode, though not bad at all. She just didn't get to do that much it felt like, besides the obvious "hey guys let's not start a war over this." Though now I'm intrigued to see how she'll respond to what's happened to Bolin. Noticeably, nothing with Mako or the Prince in this one. Wonder when we'll see those two again.

Last night's party, I saw that some friends were contemplating drinking this cup called the "Bet Cup." My friend David wouldn't because he was feeling slightly sick from a burrito earlier, and nobody else was up to it, so I just chugged it. Apparently it contained some of every alcoholic beverage that the host had in his bar. Needless to say, bet won.
The guys I went to the party with obviously knew. One friend who met with us there knew who it was supposed to be, but she couldn't remember the name. Most other people at the party didn't ask though ._.

This is seriously a worthless bundle. 200 Potions? Oh great, I can heal a Pokemon for 20 HP 100 times! The games are already easy enough. Even worse, there's NO DIFFERENCE IN PRICE. Why wouldn't I want to buy both games separately and have the unique cases? Seriously Pokemon Company, step it up. My thoughts as well. Trainer customization belonged to Gen VI and up, so I'm ok with a Gen III remake not having it, but no Mega patch for X/Y? They're seriously shooting themselves in the foot.
I don't believe that any God that actually had power in our universe could possibly be one of a malevolent nature, so I don't think repenting would even be necessary. If He/She/It were an omnipotent, omnipresent entity, that entity would probably already know what I've done, and would have already passed a judgement, as an entity of such scale would no way be bound to the limits of time and space that we humans understand. Why wouldn't a God be malevolent in my mind? Because what would be the point of creating and maintaining a universe of life if choice were stripped away from us; the choice to make a mistakes or have preferences or subjectivity? Making mistakes and having preferences and such are really the definition of separation between life and machinery, in my opinion. So in the end, I guess I feel that, if the end times were to come, I wouldn't be worried at all for what will come to me. I can accept that a God can exist, because my definition of a God leaves no room for destruction.
People not liking characters like Batman or Superman and calling them boring.
I thought The Incredible Hulk was pretty decent. Not really innovative (as I've read Edward Norton wanted to do much more with the script) but a fun romp for The Hulk. BTW Misty, Marvel is totally making a female-led film with Captain Marvel. Yeah, Lucy was a dumb movie trying way too hard to sound smart...think I've already shared my complaints. Sorry Misty, but I really think you're being way too critical of Guardians of the Galaxy for one aspect. Yes, the part in the beginning was bad, but it happened ONCE IN THE MOVIE. I really disagree that it "doesn't care about women." Why not talk about the positive representations more, like how we got a great and likable character with only two unique lines of dialogue, and another character who was born from genetic experimentation yet chose to save people. And a side note: sorry but, the Han Solo comparison feels pretty biased ._. It's pretty odd to me that Suicide Squid is even getting a film, but I'm open to the idea. Just hope it's actually decent...still feeling burned by The Dark Knight Rises and Man of Steel. YO WHAT HATING BATMAN? Have you not watched any of Batman: The Animated Series or Batman Beyond? And liking him for being someone who buys his powers? WTF? How about the part where goes through a personal redemption: he let his own city destroy itself, then trained with ninjas to save it. And he's constantly stuck with moral conflicts because he knows how influential his actions are, not only to citizens but to the new heroes he's training. Please don't judge a character on just the live films he's in. Jeez, Superman hate too? Sorry, but if you actually look into well-written stories, he's a great character. Read All-Star Superman and watch Superman vs The Elite, for starters (also, he's an orphaned immigrant!) I really think that Spider-Man needs a reboot, BUT not an origin story. We all know how he got his powers and we all know about Uncle Ben's death and quote. Show him in the middle of his hero career and let us fill in the blanks, and actually TELL A STORY, especially one that hasn't been film twice. I think part of why The Amazing Spider-Man 2 had a slower theater run was because....of its predecessor. Man do I want Fantastic Four to get a good film, especially if we can get a great Doctor Doom. He's such a neat character. And we really need another movie emphasizing a team of heroes outside of X-Men and the occasional Avengers (and I guess now the Guardians of the Galaxy?) X-Men: Days of Future Past is quite a good film, probably the second best X-Men film behind X-2: X-Men United. Though I can agree that Mystique's role was a lot more important than her actual performance seemed to portray. Not bad, but needed improvement in plot and acting. No comment yet on the third Wolverine film. I thought The Wolverine was an ok film with great action scenes and many big issues, but X-Men Origins: Wolverine was awful. I'm actually surprised people are still talking about Destiny. There's just....so little about it besides shooting stuff. Ghost in the Shell is so cool ;_; I enjoyed Stand Alone Complex, even though it was quite a bit slower paced than the film (amazing music, btw) For the power question: Dante (the one from Devil May Cry 3 & 4.)
