What system you got Xrd on?
And people ask why I refuse to give Ninja Theory/Capcom my money for that game. No wait they don't because people are smarter than that.
I don't treat this shit lightly, no matter what medium. She's posting these things for a reason, and I'm not simply going to ignore it. I'll gladly take a call for some attention over an actual suicidal desire. It's a last resort, and I don't honestly expect it to get this bad. I'd go to her parents before this, and potentially even call a suicide hotline for her.
Seriously guys go vote for you fave games. I wanna see what everyone else liked.
She responded to the rant I sent her last night, saying that they were empty words that she doesn't plan to act on. I really don't know what to believe when it comes to her and this stuff, but I'll keep an eye on what she says as I have been, and if it gets to be serious enough, I'm telling her friends and family about it.
This has been going on for about a year or so, at least that's how long I've seen/heard her mentioning killing herself, which I believe started when she moved into university. There were gaps in between where I was glad and thought she was getting better, but now that she's graduated college, I've seen nothing on her Tumblr but posts about death, depression, and trying to figure out how to commit suicide without having someone to stop her. I have constantly tried to talk to her about it, give her some optimism and realism, but clearly it's not working. Guys, I really don't know what else to do. My girlfriend mentioned potentially getting police involved, but I think that's the last resort. I've known her since elementary school.
Yeah, one of the many gripes I have about Tumblr is its propensity to run rampant with spoilers :\
1. The funnest game I've played all year. A master class in terms of excellent mechanics (combo strings, speed, dodge windows, weapon choices, enemy design, etc.,) fun characters, level design, performance (will say I'm a little disappointed at the inconsistent 60FPS,) graphics, and overall undeniable charm. I find it hard to stop playing once I've picked up the controller. 2. It's a crime how overlooked this gem of a game is. The Turn() system is an awesome innovation that combines strategy with isometric dungeon-crawler-esque combat, all while telling a strong intimate story in a very fresh sci-fi world. Also, has the best soundtrack this year. 3. Finally, a strong Alien-specific game. Isolation manages to combine crafting, stealth, paranoia, and excellent A.I., for what fees like organic horror rather than just scripting. Dealing with the Alien your first time is a moment to truly remember. 4. Personally, I think this is Telltale's strongest experience so far. Bursting with style and captivating writing, as well as a soundtrack that rubs me just the right way, as well as featuring quick-time events that enhance the story rather than feel like a chore. 5. While some no doubt enjoyed Brawl, I was very relieved to see Wii U/3DS strike a good balance in gameplay between Brawl and Melee in terms of speed, combo potential, weight, movesets, etc., while featuring a great cast of characters and strong online. (too many overpowered items and bad stages though) 6. I'll admit the final riddle is far too cryptic for its one good, this is easily THE SCARIEST GAME I've ever played. Photorealistic graphics, perfect sound design, no hand holding, and overall truly horrifying and memorable. 7. I definitely enjoyed the main campaign of Bioshock Infinite, but to me, Burial at Sea - Episode 2 improves on that concept in every way: more creative abilities, more choice in situation management, a better story, and a stronger conclusion. Stealth and strategization are Bioshock's strong points, not corridor shooting 8. There's nothing exactly wrong with this game (the Nemesis system is very cool) it just doesn't seem to do enough for me to make an identity for itself. Batman: Arkham series combat, Assassin's Creed movement and climbing, Lord of the Rings world, and not much unique or memorable besides the Nemesis system. Complaints aside, a damn good game. Honorable Mentions: "Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire" - While not at all an innovate title (seeing as it is, afterall, a Nintendo IP) ORAS manage to not only infuse all of the great new features introduced in Pokemon X and Y into my favorite generation of Pokemon, but it also manages to retell the original story of Hoenn in an epic, enjoyable way, complete with Secret Bases and Pokemon Contests. Delta Episode is, honestly, some of the best storytelling Pokemon has ever gone through. I still really want to play "Wolfenstein: The New Order" and "This War of Mine" and "Dragon Age: Inquisition" and "Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-"
Because this doesn't happen with any other series
Spoiler If for Book 2 you're saying that the giant monster battle was better....nah, can't ever agree with that. As I said, it was really awkward to watch and had little if any interesting choreography. You don't need a gigantic battle to have a good fight, and I much preferred the more simple but well done dual between Korra and Kuvira to any of other final fights in the series. Second best fight would probably be Korra vs Tarrlok, followed by Korra vs Unalaq right before the stupid giant spirit wrestling.
Well, it depends on the writers too. I'd rather it stay dead than have it come back and feel super forced and awkward.
Spoiler The only couples (not married) in Book Four before the finale were Opal x Bolin and Kuvira x Baatar Jr. (and I guess Varrick x Zhu Li but it was only really hinted at until the last 2 episodes) I don't count Jinora and Kai because they were barely shown together in Book Four
It hurts realizing that I'm not going to see any more Avatar or Korra anymore... I've been experiencing some of the best young adults doing martial arts and manipulating elements and fighting corrupt leaders and having deep spiritual and political plots and personal developments for over 5 years. And now it's over.
Spoiler ...you're kidding right? Korra and Asami were as lesbian as they could be without just kissing. (though more accurately both of them wold be bisexual at that point after dating Mako)
It didn't fit the tone set by the series. We had no build up to anything like what happened in Book 2's finale. Even the fight itself felt more awkward than anything.
Gonna try to not spoil anything but GO WATCH AVATAR AND KORRA YOU WILL THANK ME IN THE END FOR CERTAIN THINGS
Spoiler: Korra Finale This was easily the best that "Legend of Korra" has ever been...and now it's over...bittersweet is an understatement. First, the Colossus battle...was just as awesome as I had hoped. No stupid deus ex Jinora and giant blue Korra like in Book 2: actual strategy and teamwork. It held a lot of weight too because we knew this was the end of the series. Anyone could have died. I'm glad to see Hiroshi at least found redemption. Next, the final dual between Korra and Kuvira. It felt like a boss battle between two bitter rivals, so yeah, perfect. Maybe would have made it a little longer, but just because I loved watching all the Bending and stuff. Kuvira getting the cannon again was a pretty "OH SHI-" moment. Then, Korra and Kuvira having that heart-to-heart in the Spirit World. I think it was done pretty well, but should have been longer. It felt like Korra said one thing that made Kuvira realize her wrongs, when it shoulda been a bit more argument and dialogue from Korra to show her development. Eh, I'll settle fine with what we got. AND THEN THE BEST PART KORRA AND ASAMI ARE CANON PLEASE PLEASE GIVE US SOMETHING EXTRA I'LL TAKE A COMIC OR SHORT JUST ANYTHING WITH THOSE TWO
Spoiler THEY DID IT THEY ACTUALLY MADE A LESBIAN ROMANCE CANON ON A NICKELODEON SERIES why did it have to end there :<
I mean, I know that mindset and have done that with many things, but...it's OK if you just imagine that the series pulled an "in media res" Book Three is good and Book Four is OH MAN
Skip to Book Three. It's worth it.
