Spoiler I wasn't all that keen on the British version either (Did they really have different voice actors for the UK release and the US?). The wee boy's voice sounded so dull to me, but the rest were awright, thought definitely not the best. Not my favourite Ghibli film but it was ok. Didn't like the ending though. There wasn't much to it which left me feeling...'That it?'. Other than that I enjoyed it.
