I fought about maybe picking it up someday, but then I read the word "grinding" and thought nah
For me, it's kind of the opposite: game journalists aren't exactly respected, so there seems to be a negative stigma around it.
Every damn day. There are days when I just am confounded what possessed me to even try seriously studying to be a game journalist, something I already get flak for.
So I've been reading a few thoughts and reviews about "Chappie." I'm actually sad...I liked it a lot...
Why you ask?
I just "Chappie" and I'm sweating. This film took my attention with metal hands and I loved it.
Found a very helpful post about the whole Riot Points debacle. I liked the part where Leo played a sleazebag.
I don't play that
While that's very much true, it isn't really the point. People in worse-off economies now have to spend more to get the same amount of content. Unnecessary expenditure, sure, but isn't a LOT of stuff we enjoy unnecessary?
From what I'm gathering from people's comments, Riot is trying to play the role of currency exchange by raising RP prices in those regions. However, even if the currency has a higher value in some of those regions, the general population's income is lower than the United States. This is compiled on top of numerous server issues in those regions. I might be getting it wrong though.
I feel pretty damn bad for League players in Europe, Canada and Oceania right now. I usually support or at least neutral on Riot's decisions, but this doesn't seem to benefit ANY of its customers.

It's still so weird to me that we're getting a re-release of a re-release, but I'm glad there's cross-save and the original soundtrack as an option.
I actually told this part to a friend recently. Even he was befuddled and said "That sounds so fucking stupid."
"what's with misty's fetish for blue women?"
Yeah, unironically. I mean, I totally understand enjoying them for the cinematography and sound design and visuals; that's what drew me into Heavy Rain when I played it myself, but trying to explain what's wrong with the games, such as the portrayal of women and the ridiculous character motivations, sometimes gives them a sense of clarity and revitalizes my hope in their taste.
I'm a college student who can only buy a few games a year, so no, but I'd like to :\ It actually hurts me a little whenever a friend of mine says that they like a David Cage game...
MMO isn't the proper term. It's got plenty of single-player features and modes.
Sad day...
