"No I'll kill it, I'm taking this personally." Annaly muttered. She reached into the Skull's mind, not deterred but the messed thoughts of it's mind. She knew what to look for and quickly searched for the Skull's last insignificant strand of humanity. When she found it, she wrapped her mind around and and with one brutal mental blow, she crushed the strand. It started a chain reaction and within a split second, the Skull went limp.
When Annaly managed to get a hold of herself again she in haled a deep breath and focused entirely on keeping the Skull pinned down as long as possible. As she expected, the Skull was fighting against the restraint that she was putting on it. With a huge mental push she slammed it into the ground, creating a huge crushing sound as the ground crumbled against the force. ooc: I must go for now, I'll be on in a couple of hours.
Annaly winced in pain as the claws dug into her flesh, warm crimson blood started to slowly run down and drip off her hand. She got her free arm and went to help Lightning free but then a sudden pulsing sensation started to flow through her body, a sensation she was familiar with. She instead clamped her hand against her face as she had an internal stuggle to get control over herself again. As she fought, a dark aura started to seep from her, though not visible it could easily be sensed. She gritted her teeth together and with all her mental strength she push the sensation out. It was not an easy task but she managed to push it out. Annaly then averted her attention back to Lightning and focused on the Skull's claw that was clasped around her left arm and with her thoughts she started to slowly unwrap each claw. "Think you can help a bit?" she grunted to Lightning. ooc: zomgwtfbbqcheez she talked xD And oh-em-gee long post is long D:
The Skull lunged a second time, Annaly raised her sword and successfully blocked the blow. Although she struggled, she managed to keep her ground and prevent herself from getting injured. The Skull growled and put more muscle into its assault, slowly pushing Annaly back inch by inch until she finaly gave up and pulled her sword away. Annaly went to strike but was totally unaware that the skull was already attacking and it sunk its claws into her arm.
ooc: Red, how can you has writer's block at a time like this? @_@ Stalking around the area, Annaly finaly found the Skull. It was in combat with another Hero like herself. She hid on the roof of a building and got out her bow and a single arrow, she attached the arrow above the nock (ooc: forgot her archery terms @_@) and pulled the bowstring back, aiming it at the back of the Skull's head. Unsurprisingly, it's head snapped around and locked it's gaze onto her. It gave a shrieking howl and lunged at her instead. Annaly dropped the bow and got her double-bladed sword out and got ready for a battle. She hopped off the building and onto the ground, the Skull followed after her. She skidded to a halt and twisted around and lifted her blade up in front of her.
ooc: =3 Annaly started running, running in the direction of the Skull she sensed. She ignored the goosebumps that were raising on her arms and started running full speed, which to a normal human she would look like she was flickering all over the place. As she sprinted, she reached the poorer part of the city, the Skull's presence got stronger as well. Annaly slowed to a brisk walk and tried to blend in with the crowed.
ooc: *stalks Aura* Annaly's head snapped up again, she sensed something that was so familiar to her it was like it was a part of very core. It started sending shivers down her spine. Unconciously she wrapped her arms around her waist as if to keep herself together, to keep herself from falling apart again. She remembered her several experiences of being a Skull or being on the verge of one and frankly, she'd much rather kill herself then go through that again.
Annaly looked up, her hoodie falling off and resting on her shoulders. On the other side of the alleyway was a man, what caught her attention was the fact that his eyes flashed yellow. Definitely a hero, that's what Annaly thought. She continued walking as if she never looked up at him, hoping he would pass her without making any comment whatsoever. "Never thought I'd meet someone here, of all places." Annaly found herself muttering.
Touche. Well hopefully it's starting to come back slowly, I am working on my manga stories again.
The only cartoons I will consider watching (if there's nothing else on TV) is Family Guy or The Simpsons but even those shows have gone rather boring lately. I think Naruto would of been a fairly decent anime in if they didn't put all of those bloody fillers into it. But yes, the west has always assumed that cartoons meant it was for children, which in fact it is not for children all the time. If the anime has blood and violence in it (like naruto, one piece and DBZ) then don't try and make it a kids cartoon, that's what I think. Oh yeah, Code Geass R2 ending was epic.
Pika, will you marry me? xD I seriously agreed with every single point you have made here. Of course there are people who are going to hate anime no matter how much anime fanatics try to convince them how bountiful this genre can be. Some people might think that there isn't much variety in anime but that is probably because they haven't looked underneath the surface of the countless popular shows that are aired, IMO if you do that you are bound to find a show that you will love.
Annaly lowered her head ever so slightly, to hide her startling blue eyes from anyone's gaze. People tended to gawk at her because of her eyes, it made her feel uncomfortable to no end. Especially if it was a fat hairy old guy that was doing the gawking. She pulled the sleeve of her jacket back down over her right arm and started walking at a faster pace, she took a turn into a random alleyway, not really caring who she would run into or what she could possibly run into.
Instead of wearing her usual trenchcoat, Annaly wore a plain black jacket with the hoodie up, a few people knew her a a hero by her face and she's prefer not to be treated the way Heroes were treated at the moment. It frustrated her a lot. She lifter her right arm and folded the sleeve back and looked at the end of the scar that curled gracefully around her wrist, it always brought back the only memory she had retrieved so far from the so called battle she was in a while back. When she was on the verge of becoming a Skull.

Yes, I made a FF reference for my weapon. Preview Post: Crap. Annaly cursed in her thoughts. She dashed along the outskirts of the city, she was trying to lose her persuer, who was a Skull. As she ran she started feeling confused, how was she being able to keep her distance? These things were meant to be bloody fast. She bit down on her lip and put more effort into her sprint. Without even realising, Annaly tripped over a loose rock and fell on the ground. She let out a gasp in shock and tried to get up on her feet but found her left leg paralyzed. Sounds of petty thoughts and gurgly growling caught Annaly's attention. She couldn't run away anymore, her persuer had caught up with her. The Skull stopped in front of her, as if it were waiting for her to make the first move. Annaly stayed still and closed her eyes, waiting for her life to be ended yet again only this time it was death that was taking her life.
