Dracula smiled at Beatrice's consent, and turned her so she was facing him.

"Now, you understand you must trust me for a second, yes?" he whispered in her ear, and, before she could say a word, lowered his lips to her neck and bit hard. He held her still wass she struggled and smiled; he could taste the power in her blood.

Dracula drained her to the point of unconsciousness and slung her small body easily over his shoulder.

"Gabriel," he said, licking the red off of his lips. "Bring me another one next time... better than Miss Valerious over there."

He wrapped his long, black cloak around himself and Beatrice. The ari bended around them and with a harsh snap, they disappeared.

Van Helsing tensed, angry there was nothing he could do.

Dracula grinned brightly, his pointed teeth touching his bottom lip. "Good girl," he murmured, pulling Beatrice close to him. "Say goodbye to your friends."

"Seems Liz knows me better," Luke smirked, giving Alex a funny look. "Don't you agree, though? These Telmarines don't seem to have such a bad way of life."

Van Helsing made sure he stood close to Jinx, and whispered in her ear: "I dont' think there's anything we can do to stop her decision... if she really is as powerful as he says..."

"Come, little Bee," Dracula crooned, keeping Michael in the corner of his gaze, just in case. "Whatever you'd like, I promise."

Van Helsing raised his weapon to his eyes, aiming as carefully as he could at Dracula's wrist... and fired. He clenched his fists as the vampire let go of Jinx to pull the arrow out of his arm. The hunter rushed forward, grabbed Jinx by the arm, and yanked her back with him.

    "You okay?" he asked.

Dracula smiled, not really concerned with Jinx anymore. He extended a hand to Beatrice as she came toward him, the wound on his wrist already healed.

"You're a smart girl," he whispered, giving her a small smile. "Home is where you belong... and I can take you there."

"Bee," he began softly. "I know you can break away from that weak creature... come here and I'll let your talented friend go."

Van Helsing jerked forward at Jinx's sudden move, unsure what the vampire's reaction would be. It couldn't possibly harm him... could it?

Dracula let out a shriek, spinning on the spot to grab Jinx's wrist, flinging her over his shoulder and onto her knees in front of him. He reached up with his other hand, yanking her dagger out of the base of his spinal cord.

"You're a strong one, too," he said, twisting Jinx's wrist almost to a breaking point as he licked his own blood off the blade. "Whoever made you was strong as well... I can feel it in your blood, just under your pale skin..."

"Why did your people take his place?" Luke asked, a little rudely. "I mean, if he was such a great king, what need did this place have for you and your kind?"

Van Helsing looked over at Beatrice and frowned. He could tell the girl wanted to go, and didn't know if anyone could stop her.

Dracula took another step toward Beatrice, only two feet from her now. He reached out a hand and flicked his wrist slighty... and suddenly Edward slid violently across the floor to slam into the wall once more, knocking all the wind and fight out of him.

"I'll let him be," Dracula said to Beatrice, "if you'd just... come with me and listen to what I have to say. If it's something you don't want, you can go wherever you please. What do you have to lose?"

Dracula saw Hannah move, crouched and ready to jump, out of the corner of his eye and raised his other hand toward her. She was suddenly lifted up three feet off the ground, invisible fingers choking and crushing her windpipe.

"What do you say... little Bee?"

Van Helsing nodded to Jinx's words, resisting the urge to waste any more ammo on Dracula.

Dracula smiled at Beatrice, the gesture almost warming depsite his cold eyes and demeanor. "I understand," he began now. "It's tempting, isn't it? But you don't want to upset your friends or go against their wishes. Let me tell you something, little Bee..." He took a step forward, his eyes locked on Beatrice's. "If they really do care about you, they'll let you do what you want most... and that's going home, yes?"
