"Well, I'm sure he's getting tired of just sitting here," Van Helsing replied. "He's got to do something... that's why I've brought him along." Edward grimaced slightly. "That's good, though," he replied. "I want you to be happy, no matter what you have to do. Please, don't worry; I'm right here." "And what about your friends, little Bee?" Lestat insisted, pushing himself close to Beatrice, his body pressed against her. He ran a hand through her hair and smiled still. "How will they survive without your help, no matter how angry they may seem at you?"
hey me too! have fun at work! :glomp:
Van Helsing smirked. "You, me, and Anna should stick together, Jinx. Hannah, Edward, and Carl can manage on their own. It's not that I want them to stay together," he added to Anna, making a point. "But their powers combined are very skillful and can prove well in our favor. Splitting them will just anger them and move our focus farther from our purpose. Sound good?" Edward smiled, grabbing Hannah's waist and pulling her down next to him. "That's an idea," he laughed quietly, putting a hand up to her cheek. He let his thumb rest on her corner of her mouth while his fingers drifted up to her hairline. "You're so warm for a while afterwards... it's... different..." Lestat rolled his eyes. "And your new-found, amazingly powerful, unstoppable vampiric skills?" he added to Beatrice's statement. "What of them? How shall you use them on the farm, my dear?"
"Hello?" Eleanor asked as she entered the main room of the inn. "Anyone here?" The girl Nancy came out of the back room, her arms full of belongings she seemed to be packing. "What do you want? Can't you see everyone's leaving?" "I was looking for some food," Eleanor replied smoothly, though the girl's temper made her want to be rude in return. "I have good money." "Then take it somewhere where the people aren't told to leave their homes. I've no use for money right now," Nancy snapped back. Eleanor sighed. Her fingers itched to touch one of her blades, and she had to stop herself from stripping the objects out of the girl's hands with her mind and stream them across the room and into the fireplace-- but she stopped herself and smiled instead. "I was wondering if you could help me find someone," she started. "A man that stayed here last night, human, taller... I heard he's quite popular and might need some protection. I'm for hire and I need to speak with him." "Oh," Nancy began with a smirk. "For hire, huh? Is that what they call it nowadays?" "That's not what I meant!" Eleanor snarled, her frustration showing slightly now. "Just... tell me where he might be so you can get back to running away from your problems." Nancy smiled, apparently impressed with Eleanor's retort. "He's outside somewhere. Not a very good man from what I know, if you know what I mean, but... just look around. He seemed the sneaky type, he's bound to be there somewhere." "Thanks," Eleanor said ruffly, and reached into her new sac of coins to throw a peice of gold at the girl, landing it neatly on top of her pile of objects in her arms. She left the inn, looking around the edges of the town where the forest began, the day's light now well over the treetops.
haha thats true... :D just let me know if u have any ideas too
ooh good idea. i remember reading that. :D maybe mr. tristan needs a body guard huh? lolzzz
"I think we should split into two groups," Van Helsing suggested. "That way we can cover more ground and attract less attention." "Yes, I don't really see her usefullness," Edward agreed. "Though, if we anger her, I don't see how we will be able to get into Dracula's castle." Lestat nodded. "I've heard some advice since I made that rash statement," he began, moving forward until Beatrice hit the wall behind her and he stood but an inch or so from her face. He put a hand up next to her head on the wall, his blonde locks falling into his eyes. "I've decided you need my help, so you may ask for whatever you wish."
Eleanor turned from the mayor and walked back to toward the inn, running her hands through her silver hair. She'd earned fifty gold peices for the work she'd done last night, and had a mind for a drink and a hot meal, despite all the people that seemed to rapidly be leaving the city. My money's still good here, she thought, entering the inn. I'm sure there's enough people here to get me some food.
kk sounds good
"Sorry to keep you, maybe I'll see you around," Eleanor said, stepping away from the couple and moving into what was left of the crowd. She spotted the mayor and stopped in front of him. "Oh!" the mayor started when he saw Eleanor next to him. " didn't expect to see you here yet." "Things went better than expected last night," Eleanor replied, holding out her hand. "I'll just take the gold, please. I have some things I need to buy." "Where's the proof, Miss McKynley?" the mayor replied. "You usually have such means so I know the amount to pay. At least, that's what all the others say about you." "Should I have kept my blades bloody?" Eleanor snapped, a little angrily. "I could give you a demonstration of how the two dozen Lizards were finished if you like." "No, no," the mayor insisted, taking a bag of gold out of his pocket. "Here you are... just keep up your good work." Eleanor took the money and thanked him. "I need a new job," she insisted before the mayor could leave. "Is there anyone hear that I could speak to? Locations, those that need protecting? I'll take any job." "There is one man that joined here lately," the mayor replied. "He stayed at the inn last night, the big important one that was speaking earlier. I'm sure he'd take hired help in his endeavors." "Thanks," Eleanor replied. "I'm sure I'll find him."
"Not exactly," Van Helsing replied. "If I'd had it all figured out, I wouldn't need you all, now would I?" "Good," Edward insisted, not feeling it necessary to inquire further unless she mentioned it. "Now... if we want to leave without the others and get this over with, we'd best figure out where they are and what they're doing." Lestat smiled, standing as well. "Articulate as always," he laughed, stepping toward Beatrice once more. "You do want my help, don't you, dear? I can give you anything you want, you know..."
Eleanor shook her head. "Sorry, I've got to disagree there," she replied, her eyes scanning the crowd for the mayor. "Some of us, unfortunately, live off the war... make a profit of it. It's not the best way of living, but it's good enough."
"Oh, I see," Eleanor replied, nodding. "I wish I could have been there. What are you two traveling for?"
"I never said just barge in," Van Helsing snapped childishly, folding his arms over his chest. "We will form a plan, divide into groups, and meet back here by nightfall so we can see what we've learned." "Hi," Edward said, sitting up immediately when he saw Hannah. "Are you alright? That took a while." "Oh," Lestat said softly, sighing the word through his white, pointed teeth. "I could... terrify you, my dear, that is for sure. Your... sweet appearance would not stop me from doing something like that." He leaned forward a few inches, his mouth brushing Beatrice's. "You know... despite all that power inside you that everyone hates you for, I could still tame you with one... little... movement..."
Eleanor stood a moment later, twirling her blades in the sun to dry the water off of them. "Now," she said to herself, turning back toward the path that led off the beach. "To get paid." She walked for a little while until she reached the outskirts of the town. Shielding her eyes once more, she saw a large group gathered in the center of the village. Hmm, she thought. This is unusual... Eleanor walked up tot he edge of the crowd, her eyes locking on a couple standing very close in the sun. The man had his eyes shut, which she could understand; the morning glare was very strong. "Excuse me," she began, stepping forward and tapping the girl's shoulder from behind. Eleanor could tell she was probably full-blooded Cylian by her ears and youthful face. "Could you tell me what's going on here?"
okay here I go! :) ill just jump in the best i can! Username- mrsbaggins Name (full)- Eleanor McKynley Race- crossbreed: human and Cylian Powers (if any)- telekinesis Age- 59 Gender- Female Side- (Good/Evil/Neutral)- neutral for now... find out more later ;) Weapon (if any)- two daggers strapped to waist Background (Go into detail please! The more, the better!)- Eleanor's mother is a Cylian who fell in love with a mortal man, later having a child in Ilianam where they live now. Eleanor grew up with her father not having much to with her: she was born knowing that she was different than the other human children around her. She could lift objects with her mind, sometimes hear the thoughts and emotions of plants around her, and, in one instance, tried to experiment with the elements… she wasn’t very good at it. Her father wanted her to be normal, hoped that, despite the fact that his wife was a Cylian, their child would be more natural. Eleanor barely saw her father; he avoided her and rarely spoke to her. In her free time, her mother trained her to use her mental abilities properly, her telekinesis developed maturely by the time she was 25. Her mother also taught her how to master daggers to defend herself as the impending danger in their country grew. She left home when she turned 50, not too old for a crossbreed, looking for any job that could earn her money. Eleanor soon got hired for jobs to get rid of those in the Lizard Clan that attacked small towns, and some Leechers that ventured into her way. She works with her daggers and mental powers, making money and a name for herself among the villages and their people. Eleanor has a soft spot for humans, never having a good relationship with her father, she is kind to all that she meets. Hearing of the corruption in the kingdom, she wanders farther away from her home country of Ilianam in search for more work and to help those in need. Appearance- Eleanor wandered on the path just north of Trwin city, along the coast, looking up at the sun. Her eyes squinted as she focused on the clouds. Last night she had fought off a rather large amout of Lizards, her baldes still bloody since she had to run right after the battle to avoid more fights. The Mayor of Triwn owed her money for protecting his borders, and she intended to be paid today. She knelt by the waves and pulled her daggers of her their sheaths on her sides, and lowered them into the waves, letting the sand and salt water bury the gorey weapons until they were clean.
shes tried with the elements but she hasnt gotten the ability. for now shes got more of her human father's abilities. is that much ok to post? :)
"You don't think I can take those stupid little things?" Van Helsing scoffed. "God, it's like you forgotten who you're working with." Lestat sighed, moving down to sit on the step next to Beatrice. "You'll be fine, little one," he soothed, putting an arm around her. "You just need to show them your real power, become something that everyone fears, and they will respect you. Look..." He paused, putting a finger under her chin and turning her head so she faced him. "Look at me... are you afraid of me, Bee?"
