Eleanor stopped, hearing her name called. She turned in the direction of the noise, limping toward a small peice of dry land. A moment later, she could see Tristan... and someone else next to him. "I'm here," she groaned, stepping up onto the little island. "Who's... who's this?"
Eleanor cried out, her injured ankle collapsing underneath her. She gritted her teeth and moved forward anyway. Where the hell is he? she thought, searching all around her as she went.
Eleanor readied her blades as the Leechers came at her. She screamed a loud battle cry, shoving her daggers into the nearest two Leechers, throwing them into the bog. Looking to the side, she lifted twelve of the nearest rocks and sent them flying right at the Leechers foreheads, shoving the rocks deep into their brain. As they collapsed, she made her way quickly to deeper waters. "Tristan!" she shouted again, still not seeing her companion.
Van Helsing fired at two more Dwergi, sending them flying back against the wall. "You could be more helpful!" he shouted at Anna. Edward sighed. Where are those damn things? he thought. "Help your friends get rid of that giant bat," Lestat replied. "Show them what you can do... use your power and see where it gets you."
Eleanor focused on all the water she could see and blasted it away from her, up into the air. She held it there as she stood up, finally able to see the tentacle around her leg. Slicing both her daggers through it, she broke free, moved over a few feet, and dropped the water back into the swamp. The salt stung badly on her wound, but she ignored it. "Tristan!" she shouted, looking around. All she could see was a large group of Leechers heading right toward her. "Dammit," she muttered.
"Well, I can take care of that!" Van Helsing laughed, and fired his guns up at the Dwergi. He managed to shoot three before nine jumped down onto the floor in front of them. Edward nodded. "It's getting dark up here," he said as they climbed some nearby stairs. "It'd be nice to see something." Lestat sighed. "It's too bad the new normals are all you have."
Eleanor grabbed a quick breath of air as she was pulled under the water. She opened her eyes despite the pain, barely able to see at all. She stabbed as hard as she could, fighting at the tentacle that ripped at her flesh. Focus... she thought, holding her breath. Focus and you can blast this water off of you...
Van Helsing looked up too. "Anna," he began, ignoring her last words. "Can you see anything?" "Just about what to do when we reach Dracula," Edward replied cooly. "I'd expect you to do the same if you have any part in the interests of this group." "Please," Lestat sighed, rarely using this word, "You must accept change; you have to learn that there are new 'normals.'"
hey just wanted to let you know i got some ppl to join thecatseye today. looking for more right now! :D
Eleanor turned and ran, letting go of her concentration. She moved as fast as she could through the waist-deep bog, letting her strength rebuild. She suddenly felt something wrap around her leg and pull her down into the water. She cried out, the suction cups on the tentacle around her legs tearing into her skin, sharp barbs on her ankle. Eleanor yanked her already bloodied dagger out of its sheath, stabbing blindly into the murky water.
awesome! you should join the cats eye if you like it. lots of people from here and there now :D
"Why do I have the feeling we're being watched?" Van Helsing whispered. "You've been silent for a while," Edward spoke to Michael as they walked. "What have you been thinking?" "You must decide," Lestat encouraged. "Or I shall get bored with you."
oh yeah? thats awesome! you read it or watch it?
i will if you promise to check out the one my friends and i made. its www.thecatseye.forumotion.com... its really fun! :D
Van Helsing led his group into the castle and headed East, up the first set of stairs. He pulled out his weapons, listening for any noise. "Come on, then," Edward said, and waved his own group forward. Once we get inside, he sent to Hannah, We will find the Dwergi and use them as a distraction. Run with me, leave Carl with Michael to deal with those little monsters. "Then make your decision, little Bee," Lestat replied smoothly. "You don't want to here alone, you don't want to help your friends, you can't go home without my help, and you... need to make some decision."
good thnx :D and you?
Eleanor nodded. "Fair enough, I'll cover you!" she shouted, back, lifting more vines and strips of hardened, bogwater weed to hold back the tentacles. She could feel her energy starting to drain, but she knew her daggers would be of no use here if she didn't have a solid footing. Her eyes began to water, but she held her focus nonetheless.
"Hold still!" Eleanor insisted. She had her eyes on the vines and ropes of weed growing in the bog next to Tristan. Knowing that the roots grew deep, she focused, unblinkingly, and lifted them up, tangling and knotting them as fast as she could around the nearest rising tentacles. "I can take care of them!" Eleanor shouted, not moving her gaze. "You finish off those damn Leechers and let me know when we can both run for it!"
"What about you?" Eleanor questioned quickly, the noises growing around them. "I can run pretty fast, but you?"
