That word wrinkled her brow. "What curse?" She asked, seeing that Travold had followed out with her question and began searching the shelves to help find anything. Not waiting for an answer to her question, she hummed at Travold's philosophy of the supernatural and what was actually going on in Bentley. "You know, I heard stories of people believing so much that something supernatual is real that it comes to life to them; whether through illusions or some kind of... Um... Mental energy? You know how when someone runs on lack of sleep and they start hearing, seeing, and feeling things that they're not suppose to? I guess kind of like that. Like a mirage of sorts." Thinking this could be some kind if aha moment, she wrote what Travold said about murders and then the mental state people could get into to believe it was real. But, what if the folklore and legends were true? she was going to keep that tucked in the back of her mind. Suddenly, a sensitive topic was brought up. she stopped writing and looked up at Travold. why did she come? she pressed her lips together firmly before she relaxed and gave him a small smile. "I already lost something," she said. she raised her index finger to her eyepatch and tapped at it. "And I lost it because someone just stood by and watched, and waited for it to happen, even though they knew it was coming." She swallowed hard, letting her hand drop from the eyepatch. "I already lost Alex too. We knew the risks when we came. if we die, we die. I just don't want to sit by and watch and wait for what's going to happen. " She shook her head. "I can't do that to someone, even though I may not know them. I want to help, save more lives. These strange deaths need to be stopped, once and for all." She clenched her hand into a fist, looking up at Travold. "I don't want to do what my father did to me... Just sit and wait even though he knew something was going to happen. I'm not going to keep watching people die. I'm going to try to help to do something about it." Zoey felt a stray tear lingering on her cheek and furiously wiped it away. There was no time to get emotional. And this wasn't about Zoey Kline. It was about Noellë and Jonathan and the four that died after Christmas. "Let's keep looking for when that candy store was built... " and with that, Zoey went searching through the shelves once more."

A place that smelled thickly of sweets, the population shooting up in 2010, a girl that could tell fortunes... This was all sounding so bizarre! Zoey wished that Travold would be nicer to the poor lass so they could get more info out of her, but that wasn't going to happen. Besides, Jenna gave them another clue to follow anyways. Perhaps they found what they could on this floor then. "Thank you for your time!" Zoey said with a smile and a slight bow of her head. She stood up and grabbed for her backpack. "I hope you feel better soon and have a good day." Zoey trotted until she caught up to Travold. Se had a lot to chew on now. "It seems like Benley has some serious bad rap, Tannhauser," Zoey whispered to him as they walked. "I think we should be cautious of what we say abut the place to everyone else around." She tapped her pencil on her chin thoughtfully, thinking of how the next floor could possibly tie in to what they were looking for. "Tell me, do you believe in the supernatural?" It was a curious question, but Zoey really didn't fully believe in this stuff. Maybe ghosts existed, maybe demons and witches were out there, but no one could be sure. "I wonder when that candy shop opened too... Did it open in 2010? Or later? Hm..."
Sure! Feel free to move it. :3
Yeah, it's been a while. Been holding up alright then?

I have seen his fat pudgy face in sixty of these damn censuses! Please sit down, Kline. >> Zoey was at loss of what to do and just stood there with her notepad over her lips, blinking at him with her good eye. Did he just say that the mayor had a fat pudgy face? In spite of herself, she smiled under her notepad but resisted a giggle. No laughing time now. Working time now. Especially around Travold. x<< Please take a seat, and pardon me. >> Torvald looked away. "Oh, it's okay." Zoey's nerves were starting to calm down now that Travold was speaking in a much softer voice. He seemed to see that she was in distress, and that made her feel more at ease then the first time the two of them met. "Thanks." She took a seat where he indicated for her to sit and then placed her notepad down, ready to jot down any notes. << I am happy you were out trying to genuinely find something. At the very least, all of the towns of Percival County share some history, and I am getting the feeling as if this Doughman is an important figure. >> She nodded her head in agreement. If he had his face in sixty damn censuses, then he must have been super important. More important than any mayors she ever knew. "Actually, his name is Doug, not Doughman- but you probably around knew that." She hunched her shoulders, glancing at him with her blue eye. << This reminds me. I shall, by grace of the many revolutions of knowledge, be just enough to share with you that which I have acquired. >> Zoey glanced over the big book that Travold had, seeing the population spike. That was surely a lot of people over the space of a small certain amount of time. She quickly jotted it down on her notepad, right underneath the mayor's name. << This is a cause of intrigue. Do you understand, Miss Kline? Nine hundred, ninety-one people entered the small town of Bentley in the year 2010. This is extremely unconventional, and no revolutions occurred to allow this. Do you have a theory? >> Her pencil stopped once he asked her a question and she tapped the tip of the eraser to her lips. "I have a few... Maybe some new jobs opened up in Bentley, like oil and gas rig, ranching, some sort of crop was discovered, a factory was built... Booms usually happen like this when there's something that creates new jobs for hire. At least, that's one of the ways that the population boom could have happened. Or maybe people just got super hormonal and decided to have babies like ra-" << I'm hearing more noise, keep it down ... >> << Oh god no. >> Torvald whispered under his breath. Zoey looked up just in time to see the lady that was with Travold earlier pop out of no where and raised an eyebrow at her. Were they really being that loud? << How's it going, re-vo-lu-tion-ary? >> Immediately she turned her attention to Kline, widening her eyes and smiling. << Gosh, you're a cutie! Where'd you come from, and why are you with this idiot?>> "Uh... He's actually very smart..." Zoey really didn't know how else to answer to that. She looked to Travold for help, but her view of him was suddenly cut off when the lady sat down in between them. << Don't tell me you're trying to find some information on Bentley too, are you? >> "Maybe?" Zoey said with a shrug. "I'm actually kind of interested in Whittlerose. It seems like a pretty place," she said with a smile. Hopefully that sounded convincing. Then she remembered the task at hand and looked to the census. "Hey, um, do you know what caused this population spike in Bentley? This was a year before Mr. Doug L. Westerchest was elected, yeah? Were any factories or oil rigs built in Bentley? Or... do you have a book or newspaper that can tell us anything about this?"

She sighed and looked back to the history book again, opening it up once more. Pulling out a notepad from her backpack, she jot down the book title, some history, and then the name of the current mayor. For some reason that stuck out to her, but she didn't know why exactly.... << YOU! IT WAS YOU, YOU PLEBIAN-- >> Finally, Zoey was quite curious to know what the revolutionist was going on about and saw him from where she was just in time to see him talking to someone and asking questions. The girl seemed a bit annoyed with him at first, and then led him away elsewhere. Curious, she put the book back on the shelf and followed after them casually, hoping to not come off as a stalker of sorts. Soon, she found herself on the fifth floor. This might be the place where she was going to next. The lady left Travold alone and then she cleared her throat. "Here we go," she whispered to herself, walking up to the guy that intimidated her around Christmas. "Hey, Tannhauser." She couldn't believe she remembered his name. After all this time too. But after that little night of fearing she offended someone, she practice that name over and over again in her head. She came up to him, timid and shy. "Found anything?" she asked, holding out her note pad in front of her. "I found a book on the history of Whittle Rose... Something about the current mayor, Mr. Doug L. Westerchest. Maybe we can work together... " She bit her lower lip, looking up at him with her good eye. He was nice under all that loudness, she had to remind herself that. What in the world was she even saying? Something about sleeping on the train with Shane, (heh, that rhymed) but it wasn't anything like that. She heard Estelle ask who was rooming with them again, but she didn't know. She didn't even have time to answer. She put her suitcase in the closet and out of the way, but kept her backpack on. She wasn't going to let go of it any time soon. She was burning to see Shane again, eh? Well, Zoey would make sure not to get in Shane's way with Estelle, or the other way around. It seemed like she was going to be a third wheel in this friendship. Oh the bundles and joys at the thought of that... "Anyway enough about that how was your ride on the train? I didn't see you for the whole time" Estelle asked. "Oh and thanks for texting me back I was so happy when I saw you were ok." Estelle told her. She started to take a teddy bear from her bag and laid it on the bed. "Have you meet everyone already?" She asked. Zoey nodded her head, letting every word that Estelle was saying soak in now instead of blowing it off and letting it run over her head. "No problem with the text back, train ride was okay... No, I really didn't talk to anyone or meet anyone." She didn't even bring up Ryder. No. She wasn't even going to mention that poor bastard. There wasn't much conversation between the two anyways. He probably barely remembered running into her. All that he would remember was that Zoey was being a crybaby and annoying. That was probably all. "I've heard names but I haven't really talked to anyone I've been a bit distracted as you can tell." As if I couldn't tell, Zoey thought with a roll of her eyes before leaning against the wall and then forced a smile for Estelle. She saw the teddy bear on the bed, but didn't say much to it. She could live with a third person/thing in bed, just as long as it didn't talk to her. "Zoey I think maybe we should share a bed, since we know each other, I don't want you sleeping in the chair and we did get here first.." She said. "Plus I rather since I don't know the others very well. I wonder if we'll get along with them. Sorry I know I talk a lot I'm just, super excited and I can rant on forever if you let me." "We can share a bed," she said with a small smile. This was so easy hiding her emotions; Estelle was too distracted to see anything wrong with her. Good. No talking about what happened on the train and why she was blurred eyed and looked like poop with her blood shot eyes from crying herself to sleep. "Well, let's not rant forever now," Zoey said, pushing herself from the wall as she looked into the hallway and saw everyone going. "Looks like we're going on a field trip." A little bit later, and Zoey wandered in the library with everyone else. She was slightly taken aback with the size of it and just goo goo eyed at it all. It was so majestic and very beautiful. But hey, they needed to focus right now. The mission? To find as much information about Bentley as possible, their final destination. She heard about things here and there, but not much. She looked over at Estelle and smiled at her. "I'm going to head in the history section. I think Shane might be looking for you," she said with a little bit of a teasing tone and nudged her in the shoulder. She wasn't going to wait for Estelle to follow her. She followed the signs in the library right up to the history section and began her search there for anything that could help with this quest. Zoey found one title labeled The History of Whittlerose. She flipped through the table of contents and found nothing but "boring useless stuff like settlers and white people stealing land from other people, yaddayadda fun stuff. Some information on the mayors of the cities leading up to the year 2011 -- the newest mayor being Mr. Doug L. Westerchest" There was freaking nothing here! "Baw." she shut the book and tried to look for anything on Bentley, but nope, nothing. Maybe some newspaper clippings... Where would she find that though?

What happened last night between her and Ryder was still fresh on her mind. She shuddered, pulling her hat more over her eyes as she looked around Whittlerose under her shades. It seemed quiet, quaint... She barely heard the announcement from Erik, let along Biran. Something about a ferry, and then something about staying here for the night. No way, she wanted to keep moving. But if they had to stay, she guessed they must have to. She shuffled along with the rest of the group, not minding being ignored by Shane and Estelle when she talked to them earlier. She was used to stuff like that. Plus, it sounded like they were talking about something important, something Zoey didn't need to butt into at the moment. So she hung back, her backpack hanging off one shoulder as she drug her suitcase behind her. She still felt a bit upset still about the night before, how things seemed to go wrong with Ryder. He wanted to be lonely, fine. She wasn't going to get her head snapped off a second time and risk the awkwardness like what had happened the night before. "Zoey I've got, so much to tell you!" Estelle whispered to her. "Would you like to room with me?" Estelle asked her. "Huh?" Zoey looked up and blinked her eye at her friend in a dumbfounded matter. What was going on? One look around, and she saw they were in a hotel like place. "Oh, um," she processed the question Estelle asked her through her brain one more time before she pulled off her shades and set them on top of her hat. "S-Sure, I'd love to room with you," Zoey said with a small smile, shrugging her shoulders. She was covering up the fact she was still bothered about Ryder. Estelle had no idea what happened. No one did. She didn't want to pass rumors or start some drama. Whatever happeend between the two of them last night, she was going to keep it to herself. That was a fact. Her hands fell from his shoulders as she pressed herself against the wall, trying to distance herself from him. His arms were out on either side of her though, pinning her to the wall so she had no where to go. Ryder leaned down to close the distance even further between the two, letting their hat bills touch. He was so close to her, she could feel his warm breath on her nose. She swore he could probably hear her heart beating heavily in her chest, threatening to just beat its way out of her. "Why are you crying?" He mashed his lips together feeling frustrated. Zoey winced at the words, her eyes darting down away from his glazed blue eyes to his patriotic shirt. She could feel her cheeks wet with her tears, but she had no answer for him. Because she was scared for him. Because this reminded her of why she got her eyepatch. Because losing the people she was just barely getting to know was starting to take a toll on her. Because she was scared for everyone on this trip. Because, because, because... So many reasons to why she was crying, but she didn't dare talk, not anymore. Her legs felt like jello by the time Ryder pulled away from her and walked back to the place where they had come from. She slid down the wall, collapsing on the floor of the train. She was shaking as memories of the past entered her head. She swallowed hard, pulling her knees up to her chest as she just sat there for a good moment, staring into nothing. "Are you coming?" he called back from the doorway, not looking to see if Zoey was following. She jumped when Ryder called out to her and looked up, just in time to see him disappear. No. No she was not coming. She was going to leave. Just be alone. Zoey pushed herself from the floor, swaying as the blood rushed up to her head. She put a hand to her forehead as she pressed her hand on the wall for support. She made her way to the compartment, not saying a word to Ryder as she picked up her sketch book and shoved it in her backpack. "I'm sorry," she muttered, sipping it up as she then grabbed her blanket and folded it in her arms. She pulled her hat lower over her face and then existed the cabin, closing the door a little harder than needed to behind her. It seemed like forever, but she finally felt like she was far enough away from Ryder and entered a cabin. She wasn't sure if it was empty or not, but from what she could see in the dark, it seemed empty. She threw her stuff on the seat and then collapsed on it, pulling her blanket over her head as she curled up in a ball. She sobbed softly, clutching at her chest as the pain of the past overwhelmed her. Zoey should have saw that coming. Why was she crying. She shouldn't be crying. She asked for it. She did ask for it. "Stop crying," she muttered to herself, hitting the sides of her head with her hands in frustration at herself. "Stop it." She let out a shaky sigh and sat up under her blanket, pulling out her phone as a light. She saw she had a message from someone, but she would check it out later. She snatched her pill compartment, taking what needed to be taken that night with a swig from a bottle of water she had in her bag of stuff. Breathing out heavily and then wiping the stray tears away, she looked at her phone to see the message was from Estelle. To: ZoeyFrom: Estelle Omg Zoey Lol. I'm doing fine but I'm so nervous I got like no idea what to say to him. I'm not good at these things! Heeeelp~ She didn't feel like replying, but she didn't want her friend to worry. Zoey sniffed as she pushed herself against the wall of the cabin, using her backpack as a makeshift pillow. Zoey listlessly pressed send before she realized she hadn't heard anything from Freddie all day. A little bit worried about him, she scrolled through her contacts and found him. She let the phone topple in her lap as she breathed in and out slowly, allowing herself to calm down. She gradually laid her head against her backpack, blinking into the darkness of the cabin where she was at. Ryder probably didn't know what he was doing. He was drugged after all. Drugged was like being drunk in a way. People really couldn't control their actions. Zoey grimaced at the thought, touching her eyepatch lightly with her hand. Either way, it was probably best to stay clear out of Ryder's way. Maybe she would just look after him from afar, make sure he didn't do anything stupid or something like that. What was she thinking? He wasn't her responsibility. He was even older than her. Bah. She closed her eyes, listening to the sound of the train as it chugged along. This was going to be one hell of a long trip.

She pushed a button she shouldn't have pressed, but she didn't mean to. "Ryder! Wait a minute!" She snatched her phone off the seat and shoved it into her pocket before following him out. Zoey could see him stumbling around, having a hard time moving. Her heart rate went up even more as she became suddenly very worried about him. She easily caught up to him, and took him by the shoulder. "Stop, wait. I didn't mean to pry." She moved out in front of him to stop him from going further. her one good eye wide with worry. "Look, I'm sorry. I'm really sorry. Just go back to the cabin, stay there until you feel better. I'll leave you alone, okay?" She searched those azure eyes with her own eye, seeing how dilated his pupils were. She wasn't really thinking of what Ryder would do when she stood in his way to make sure he didn't get past her. Though she was small, she could stand her ground pretty good. He could try to shove her out of the way and say nasty words, but she didn't care about that. She cared about his safety. And plus, she had been through far worse in the past. She could handle whatever came her way. "Please Ryder," she begged, nudging him gently to go back. She didn't need to cry. She just didn't want to see Ryder passed out on the train elsewhere in a place that wasn't safe. If she knew he was back in the compartment she followed him in, she would be more at ease in her mind. This was like facing her nightmare of the past, only at a more grown up age. She really wasn't drawing anything, just flowers, clouds, rainbows , ghosts, swirls, whatever came into her mind. "I'll be fine," Zoey heard Ryder mutter finally after a moment. "Prescription." Her pencil stopped once more and she peeked over her notebook at him. She stared at him for a moment before she scoffed. "Prescription, eh? They must have you on the good stuff if you're acting like this."Okay, so maybe she lied to herself about doing dugs. She never did anything hardcore, but the word prescription hit close to home. "You know they're going to get suspicious if you run out of your medication too soon," she said, speaking from experience. She could see him looking at her here and there and raised her eyebrows at him. She then shook her head with a smile and set her pencil down. She reached over to her backpack and pulled out what it seemed a little pill holder, holding seven days of the week. Each day of the week held three to five different kinds of pills. "So, Clonazepam is for anxiety." She shook the pill holder, letting them rattle in their holder. "Take six 1mg of that, and you get a Clonazepam high. Feels like your flying and everything is light as a feather." She smiled, hitting her head gently against the wall behind her. "Haven't tried it, but I read about it. Seroquel, mood stabilizer, knocks you off your feet. Take 40mg twice in one go, and you could be sleeping in your bed for three days. Better work out a lot or you'll get fat taking Seroquel." She set the pill holder on her sketch book, looking down at it. Whether Ryder was still listening or not, she didn't know. "Paxil, just helps drown out the reason why you're sad and the bad memories you want to forget..." She trailed off and then shoved the pill holder back in her backpack. Zoey didn't want to see it or keep explaining prescriptions. It felt like she was on them since forever, but it had only been a few years. Then new stuff would eventually take its place because her body adjusted to them and began to repel them instead of absorb the medications. She turned a new page in her sketch book, staring down at the blank page. She didn't know what to draw now. She didn't even feel like doodling. "So, why did you tag along on this crazy adventure?" Zoey finally asked, quite curious to why Ryder was here with everyone else. If not drawing, then maybe she could find an interesting conversation to keep her from getting bored. Then again, with Ryder so drugged up, she probably wouldn't get an answer from him for weeks.

"You can stay, if you want. I don't really care." She turned to see that Ryder seemed nearly out of it. In fact... She squinted her eye at him, leaning in just enough to see his eyes better. "Whoa, hey, are you okay?" She could see that they were dilated, and he seemed to be staring at her as if he was stoned. She never done drugs, but she did know when people were on them thanks to her dad's medical textbooks and health class videos. Plus, someone in her life had a past with them. Although the idea that Ryder doped himself up sort of annoyed her, again she found herself not finding heart to blame him. He was going through some pretty rough times, and was still probably healing. This was probably one of his ways to cope. Poor guy. His head was lulled to the side and his hat had fallen off his head and onto the floor. One eyed girl hardly noticed this and scooted to the edge of her seat towards Ryder. "You should take better care of yourself," Zoey said softly, instinctively reaching her hand out to touch his forehead to double check if he was sick or really drugged. He seemed warm, but fine. It was drugs, something told her that. What kind? She didn't want to know. She pulled away when he leaned back away from her, watching him carefully. "I'm just gonna lie down," he told her. "Okay." She sighed out, watching as he stretched out on the seat and put his arms over his face, probably to block out the light. Even though she just met him, she couldn't help but to feel some compassion for him. He shouldn't be doing this to himself. Zoey couldn't really judge or say anything. She would just be the peer with the listening ear. And if she left him alone on the train in this condition now, who knew what would happen. She wasn't going to watch anyone else die, not on her watch. She stood up and went over to the window of the train, staring at the scenery as it rushed by. Without much thought, Zoey reached up and grabbed the blinds, pulling them down so the light was more dim for Ryder to be more comfortable. She then went to her backpack and unzipped it, pulling out a flannel blanket she wrapped up army style so it would fit in with everything else. She laid it across him, making sure she didn't cover his face. Although spring was here and it was supposed to be warmer, the compartments were a bit chilly on this train. Zoey then saw the cap on the floor and snatched it from the ground, dusting it off before she laid it next to Ryder on the seat. "I'll watch out for you, okay?" Zoey wasn't sure if Ryder was coherent enough to hear her, but she smiled anyways. She did all she could to help out as an aquaintace-trying-to-be-a-friend.She sat back on her side of the compartment, scooting up to the wall right by the window with her backback. She made sure she could see Ryder breathing from where she was at before she rested her back by the window and began shuffling in her bag for her sketch book. "You better not take whatever your taking when we get closer to Bently," she commented, not really caring if Ryder heard her or not. "You don't want to be shanked unexpectedly." She set her backpack on the floor before flipping her sketchbook open and let it sit on her lap as she contemplated what to draw. Suddenly, she thought to Estelle and Shane. She wondered how they were doing, Estelle being awkward and shy. She pulled her phone from her jean pocket and scanned through the contacts list (which didn't have many people) and easily found Estelle. She wrote out her message to her: Zoey giggled at her own message under her breath before she set the phone on the seat beside her. Her own greenish-blue eyes fell on Ryder and she found herself taking in every little detail. His hair was a fair blond color, he was nicely built from what she remembered seeing, and maybe he had somewhat of a soft side under that hard shell of his. Maybe, just maybe. Letting out a little breath of air, she tucked a loose hair strand behind her ear and began to doodle on the page. "No chance, no way Zoey girl," she mumbled to herself, shaking her head. "It's not going to happen with you."

Oh well. :3|Place: Park and ride ---> Train|Mood:Anxious|Music:| Day: 3/4 ] "You look like Olive Oil from Popeye," he replied simply. "Oh?" She wrinkled her lips together, thinking about the cartoon about the guy with the big muscle and ate a lot of Spinach. He had a girlfriend named Olive Oil. that's right. She wasn't expecting that answer at all. She relaxed and then beamed. "Oh... Thank you," she said, glancing out the train window. She was usually called the pirate's wench or made fun of for poking her eye out with a pencil or something anyone felt that was funny to say. To make a comment that she looked like a female character that was pretty in a cartoon show made her feel a little better about herself. "They're all right. I'm indifferent about them." He slipped his phone back into his pocket and pulled his hat down low at the bill. "Why did you want to sit with me? Aren't your friends waiting for you?" "Hm?" Zoey was pulled out of her thoughts and brought back to the present. She ran the question through her head one more time and shrugged her shoulders. "Well, two of my friends are all love stricken and whatnot. Spring fever I guess. Estelle is so twitterpatted for Shane, I wouldn't really exist around them. Plus I don't want to ruin their mood, you know?" She pulled up her knees and hugged them to her chest, letting her chin rest on them as she looked at Ryder under her own hat. The way he looked, it seemed like he didn't want much to do with her. Or much with anyone for that matter. The way that he was frowning and scowling and trying to hide his face from the world reminded her of Grumpy from Snow White. She could see herself standing up now, putting her hands on her hips like Snow White and say to Ryder, Oh, you must be Grumpy! in a fake deep voice. She would then fold her arms over her chest like the princess and smile at her own joke. But she couldn't blame him for being like this. A lot had happened to him in a course of a few weeks. She herself excluded herself from talking to anyone for years when she first came to the school, until recently that is. Loneliness was like a disease sometimes; it made her sick. "My brother Freddie is with Sophie and Lucas. I think they need some catching up to do without me being there. Other than that... I really haven't made many other friends." Zoey sighed out and then sat up straight, letting her feet touch the ground. "I just followed you because I was curious why you called me Olive Oil, and no one seemed to be really talking to you... And I kind of wanted to try to make new friends on this trip. I mean, since we're going into some dangerous territory, it's good to have a companion or two, right? Just in case something happened?" She grabbed for her backpack and scooted to the sliding door, getting ready to leave if she needed to. Perhaps Ryder liked to be the Lone Wolf. Zoey didn't want to keep poking at him until he snapped. "I can leave you alone if you want me to. It's no biggie. I can find another place to sit." Even though that was a complete lie. She didn't want to be alone, yet she didn't want to bother her brother and friends. And if she was alone, she would become more anxious and question her dicision to come on this trip in the first place. Noelle and Johnathon were taken out of the blue after all, and someone tried to kill Professor Menon. Why not any one of them now?
ஐ ...Days go on forever, but I have not left your side...ஐ ʑoey Ⓐmber Ӄline♣═━┈┈━═♣[OOC//Outfit-♣|Thoughts: My Dad is SO going to KILL ME!... Oh well. :3|Place: Park and ride ---> Train|Mood:Anxious|Music:| Day: 3/4 ] W-wait, what? Olive Oil?" Zoey wrinkled her nose when Ryder called her that. What was that suppose to mean anyways?! Everyone called her so many different kinds of nick names in the past, but someone never called her that before. And another thing she noticed too... He seemed pretty upset when his brother was mentioned. Zoey decided to put a lid on that sensitive subject and not bring it up for the rest of the trip. She could respect other people's feelings and leave him be. She wouldn't want anyone prying into her past after all. She hadn't had the courage to even tell Freddie about what happened to her to get this eyepatch in the first place. She followed Ryder up the stairs of the train, still curious to why he called her that and she was determined to find out. She put her big piece of luggage where it was suppose to go, but kept her handy dandy backpack. It had the essentials in it, just in case her suitcase didn't make it. She gripped the shoulder strap and then made her way through the train and then spotted Ryder. She followed him and then sat down in front of him, letting her backpack take up the seat next to her. "Olive Oil?" She cocked her eyebrow, giving him a strange look. She then giggled looking out the train window to see the view of the town. This was going to be scary, and Zoey didn't know what to expect, but she wanted to help out anyway she could. Now, back to what Ryder called her.... "What made you call me Olive Oil?" She looked at him with a slight smile on her face, her eyebrow still raised. "I mean, I know the eyepatch gives people ideas with nicknames," she tapped at it with her index finger before continuing, "but I never heard that one before." Zoey then began to notice the strange attire he was wearing and then sat back in her seat with her hands folded in her lap. She resisted the urge to laugh at it and instead just smiled wider. "Like train rides, Captain America?" Captain America who dressed in the dark, she thought slyly. Well, it wasn't bad as that other guy's outfit. Devan? No, his name wasn't Devan Zoey realized. Evan maybe? She had no idea. She then realized she left Estelle behind with Shane, but then again, they probably didn't need her company. Estelle probably forgot about her and was more focused on Shane than anything, blushing and looking at him with those big goo goo eyes of a love stricken school girl. Freddie was going to be with Sophie, and thus Zoey was pretty much alone to meet and greet with everyone else and try to mingle. Ryder just seemed like the perfect candidate. He brought up an interesting subject after all.

Oh well. :3|Place: Park and ride|Mood:Mellow|Music:| Day: 2/4 ] Zoey looked around for someone to talk to. Now that Shane was here, Estelle was going to be so distracted. Zoey SO did not want to be the third wheel on this trip, that was the last thing she wanted. She smiled when she saw her brother come, but watched as he went straight to Sophie. Her question she asked him a long time ago about that girl was still unanswered, but Zoey could probably guess that yes, her brother cared a lot for her. And if he trusted and cared a lot for her, then Zoey should too despite what happened. It probably wasn't Sophie's fault anyways. Or anyone's for that matter. "'Sup?" The girl turned to the voice to see Richie's brother standing there, kind of aloof from the crowd. Ryder was his name if Zoey remembered correctly. He not only lost his brother, but rumors of a girl committing suicide also drifted around the school. Someone who couldn't handle the deaths that happened. Someone that Ryder knew. Her eye softened a bit as she watched him from where she was at. Well, it couldn't hurt to say hello to him anyways, right? Mustering up the courage, she drug her rolling suitcase behind her and approached the other boy. "Hey, Ryder right?" Zoey smiled as she tilted her head, extending a hand out to him. "My name's Zoey. I was in the musical with your brother last Christmas. I didn't know him very well, but he seemed nice. I know it's been a while... But I'm sorry." She looked at him, her smile faltering just a bit. Her eye looked sincere, like she knew kind of what sort of pain this guy she barely knew was going through. She was still going through the grief of losing Alex and seeing the deaths first hand. If it wasn't for her medications, she would be an insomniac by now. She cleared her throat and adjusted her hat on her head. "I'm ready to get down to the bottom of this whole mess. What about you? Got anyone to hang out with on the train?"

Oh well. :3|Place: Park and ride|Mood:Mellow|Music:| Day: 2/4 ] ❝Hey, no problem. I am kind of curious about everyone -- oh okay, well. Bye, I guess.❞ Zoey shrugged her shoulder a bit and then took a look around again. It seemed like more and more people were showing up. Even Sophie and Lucas. Sophie didn't look so good though. Zoey had mixed emotions about the two of them. They were the main suspects of the four deaths that happened that one morning... But even they seemed just as surprised and shocked as everyone else if Zoey could recall that memory correctly. She said her hellos to everyone else that had shown up and then noticed a new face there. Shane. Estelle's crush. She giggled and moved over to Estelle's side, nudging her shoulder. "Look who's here~!" she cooed in a sing-song voice before she twirled away from her friend with her suitcase and almost ran into Mr. Menon. She blinked with her one eye, looking up at him. She highly respected this man. This was another reason she was on this trip. She wanted to help Julius and even Bryan get some closure. Maybe the closure she couldn't get with Alex's death. She smiled at her teacher, saluting him respectfully. "Hiya Mr. Hen- I mean, cough, Menon. I'm ready for duty." And she meant that too. She wanted to bring who ever was responsible for this mess to justice. She didn't care if she didn't know Noelle or Johnathon that well, they were still peers at the school. Zoey wondered if someone would do the same for her if something like this were to happen to her. She lowered her hand and stepped back away from him and Bryan so they could have their space. Everyone had been worn down about this lately. She could feel it in the air; nervousness, brokenness, heartache, sorrow, anger, anticipation, deep anguish- it was all swirling around her head. She took in a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. They would get their answers. She knew they would.

Oh well. :3|Place: Park and ride|Mood:Mellow|Music:| Day: 2/4 ] Zoey watched as Oliver and Pierce interacted with each other. She could tell that the both of them seemed to... have conflicting feelings about each other. With the way the air felt right now, and the way they were acting to each other, she could see that they had their struggles. She sighed out as she adjusted her hat on her head, looking around the lot. They would be leaving soon on a quest to find out what was happening. Zoey never been involved with anything like this before until now. She always kept to herself, got good grades, didn't bother to make any friends. Something had changed that though. She was trying to figure out what it was exactly that changed her mind. The play? What happened at the party? She wasn't sure... ❝... What made you come?❞ Zoey wasn't paying that much attention to the fact that Oliver was talking to just Pierce and not everyone. She blurted, "I'm sick and tired of these unknown causes of death. For crying out loud, there's something weird about this if the stupid police-" She turned her head to see that Oliver was talking to Pierce. Not her. She bit her lower lip, rubbing the back of her head nervously and looked the other way. "Oops, sorry. Didn't mean to interrupt anything." She even took a few steps back from them so she wouldn't interrupt them on accident anymore. "So sorry." She bowed her head politely to the two of them, directing her attention now to the car that had just drove up and parked in a parking space. She could see that it was Erik and felt a bit of relief. Some adult supervision was coming to help them, yay~ "Hey." "Hello!" Zoey called out to the older guy with a smile on her face and a wave. She then saw that he was taking a smoke and decided not to bother him further either. She bit her lower lip and looked at her feet. What was to be expected from this? Danger, that was for sure. Death? Possibly. But who wanted to dwell on that for long?

Oh well. :3|Place: Park and ride|Mood:Mellow|Music:| Day: 1/4 ] ❝ U-um, hi. ❞ Zoey looked up when she heard another voice and turned to see no other than Pierce there. She as well didn't talk to the girl much, and hadn't seen too often. But still, it didn't hurt to say hello. Plus if they were on a murder investigation, they would have to get to know each other quite well. If they didn't know each other very well, then they would be in big, big trouble. Zoey gave a little wave, smiling towards the girl. "Hey Pierce, good to see you." "Oh hello Pierce." Estelle tried to said friendlily. "How are you today? It's going to be nice getting to know you better, along with everyone else that is." Estelle said politely. Zoey didn't want to overwhelm the poor girl with so many different conversations so she kept her mouth shut and folded her arms over her chest. She leaned against her rolling suitcase, taking a look at the sky. It was somewhat of a pleasant day today. She wondered what was going to happen on this trip. There was so many of them going. Would that draw too much attention? Oh yeah, and did someone mention they were going to travel by boat? She grimaced at that thought. She hated boats, hated the ocean... Ugh. But despite all of that, she was still a pretty good and strong swimmer.
