The girl sitting on the floor next to Richie could barely fathom what was happening. She was stuck in her own world, stuck in her own nightmare. She couldn't hear the voices around her, or see the commotion that was happening. She was just there, staring in shock and fright off in space. She was sucked into her own protective bubble, her body trying to shield her soul from what was happening, but her mind was shutting down. She could barely breathe, her chest aching. But she couldn't move, no, couldn't move at all. She wanted to, deep in the back of her head, but she couldn't. She had no strength. Fear was in control now, not Zoey.

She barely noticed a paramedic kneeling down in front of her, taking her by the shoulders while trying to wake her from her terrified state. She couldn't be moved. Before she knew it, she was guided to stand up with the help of two other paramedics and led over to what it seemed like a bed. She didn't fight, she barely blinked her eye. She was laying down on the bed now and then was being strapped. Someone put a blanket over her and then stroked her cheek, trying to calm down her nerves and bring her back.

Soon enough, she was wheeled out of the house, still stuck in her own world. Her tongue felt too thick to talk, and she didn't even feel like moving. A tear fell from her eye though, wishing she could get out of this prison. And then, before she knew it, she was in an ambulance on the way to the hospital.

The breakfast seemed to be going just fine. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves until-

She noticed that Alex suddenly didn't look well, and all the sudden had collapsed in his food. She was going to laugh, had it he not suddenly gone limp. She jumped out of her seat, nearly screaming but covered her mouth. Her dad's words entered into her head. In emergencies, stay calm. No matter what. Stay-

Then another girl, she started to spaz. She even grabbed a knife! And then Richie, and then another boy... They sudden passed out the same way almost. Maybe they were poisoned. Was it to get rid of them for good? She quickly pulled out her phone from her pocket, hitting the emergency button. Her hands were shaking as she quickly went over to the boy named Richie, turning him over.

    "911, what is your emergency-"

    "Please! Send an ambulance!"

'Make it a hearse,' her darker mind chimed in.

"T-these kids, they're suddenly passing out and not breathing! F-four teenagers. PLEASE HURRY!"

    'What is the address?"

Zoey shakily spatted it off before she looked over to the girl. She heard her scream in the back of her mind. The voice of the operator on the phone was faded away as he was trying to ask her more questions. The blood. She saw the blood. The flashbacks, the horror, the fear she had suddenly swelled up inside of her. Her heartbeat quickened, hammering in her chest as she suddenly felt sick to her stomach. She dropped the phone from her ear, freezing completely. She couldn't help it, and she was afraid. She couldn't move, almost as if she was frozen by some spell. She wanted to scream, wanted to throw up, but she just gagged, her eyes glued to the blood collecting on the floor. She then began to shake, her body feeling weak as the voices rang through her head.

'YOU *****! YOU WORTHLESS LITTLE ****!'

The screaming, the crying, the blood... All the blood... From her. Spilling from her. From the one she loved. Or thought she loved.

Tears came into Zoey's eyes, but she could not feel them. She felt like she was sucked backwards in her own head, trapped behind a glass window. All she could do was see, but even then her vision was fading.

    Blood... Blood... Blood.....

Oh this breakfast looks so wonderful," she breathed, taking in the smell of it. Her plate was loaded with sausage, bacon, a sunny side up egg, waffles with strawberries and blue berries on it with, maple syrup, and topped with a little bit of whipping cream. It was like IHop almost, but so much better! "Thank you for breakfast, Sophie and Lucas!" she called from the dinning room to the kitchen to them before she decided to dig in. "Oh wow, this is sooooo yummy!" She giggled and then looked up at everyone else. They seemed to be enjoying their breakfast as well. She ate like a decent young lady should in a rich, fancy house, as much as she wanted to just shovel everything that was in sight in her mouth. But alas, why not enjoy what was so lovingly prepared.

She caught Alex's eye, somewhere at the dinning table. She looked up at him briefly with her eye and kept the gaze for a moment. She then smiled warmly at him and then looked away, going back to devour the food that was in front of her. Would she ever be brave enough to admit to him she always had a crush on him? It seemed so silly... And dreaming seemed like it wasn't a bad plan. But actually initiating the idea that she was secretly admiring him from a distance... It could probably ruin things... Maybe.

Good morning. Lucas is making breakfast, why don't you join me in the kitchen?

Zoey turned to see Sophie there and felt her heart leap in her throat. Head of the house, saying good morning to her, asking her to join her in the kitchen. Her? What? She heard that Sophie was mean, and a little... Well annoyed with anyone. She was caught off guard by the gestures, but kind of sensed it was forced politeness. She didn't want to take up any of the princess's time. "Oh, good morning to you too," she said with a slight bow of her head before she followed after Sophie to the kitchen. She really didn't know what to say, sheesh. She was so tongue tied and so shy all of the sudden, she almost forgot how to talk. But she thought it best to stay quiet.

    Good morning, Nico, Zoey.

The girl was caught off guard when her name was called by someone else she barely saw, but she recovered. Butlers were just cool like that. They seemed to know everything. "Good morning," Zoey said with some cheerfulness in her tone, waving to Lucas a bit before she was handed a mug by Sophie. She could see it was coffee, which she wasn't a big fan of, but who could say no. "Thank you," she said with a nod and a smile before taking the mug, sipping the contents of it. It really wasn't that bad, this was actually pretty good stuff.

You were with Dennis last night, weren't you?

Zoey smiled and opened her mouth to say something, but- And then-

    "Oh, morning."

    And then-

    "Good morning everyone...!"

"Morning Alex, Zoey, Blond Guy, Sophie."

Hey... Do you guys have any Ginger Ale, or Sprite? ... And anything for headaches?

Sophie, please move everyone to the dining room, it is getting crowded.

It sure was. Soon, she found herself in the room with... Robert? Maybe? Alex, Dennis, some other guy she didn't know (Oliver)... And that was pretty much it. She sighed out, sipping her cup of coffee as she looked around at everyone.

    "I can't wait for breakfast...!"

"Me either," Zoey finally replied, finding a place at the table to sit. "Hi Dennis, hi Alex. Morning to everyone too. Some party last night eh?"

"Good Morning everyone. How did everyone sleep."

Another person to join the party. Zoey fell silent again, finishing up the coffee while nodding politely to the other girl. She really didn't have that much to say this morning... "I slept like a rock," she pipped up, setting the mug on the table. "How about you?"

Soon, Zoey's eye fluttered open, seeing that the light of morning was seeping into her room. She smiled, stretching out while yawning before she sat up. She rubbed her eye, and then grabbed for her phone, checking the time. It was around 10:45am, almost close to eleven. "Oh wow, I really knocked out." She chuckled to herself, flinging off her sheets and then strode over to one of the windows in the room. When she peeked outside, she could see big fluffy flakes falling down. Her eye sparkled in wonderment, smiling even bigger. "It's snowing," she whispered, touching her hand on the glass. "Oh my gosh, this is so cool."

Suddenly giggling to herself like she was ten again, she rushed from the window and grabbed her backpack, eager to get ready for the day. She found a bathroom, and slipped inside, locking the door behind her. Then, she finally took off her eyepatch.

She blinked uncomfortably, missing the patch over her eye already. Although all she saw was black still, she couldn't help but to miss the weight of it on her eye. She kept her bad eye closed as she avoided looking the mirror as she stripped once more, stepping into the shower with her bathroom stuff and then turned on the hot water.

A few minutes, and she was out of the bathroom again, her dad's Christmas eyepatch dutifully over her eye. Her hair was up in a messy bun, and she wore a Soul Eater shirt with characters posing on the front and blue jeans. She even threw in some crazy colorful fuzzy socks.

She held her backpack close to her chest, looking around the house. It was sure quiet around here... Maybe she was the only one up. She softly ventured down the stairs to the first floor, taking a look around. She really didn't see anyone where she was standing at. It was like the whole house was dead in a way.
