I personally, enjoy imagining relationships between Kingdom Hearts characters.

It doesn't have to be boyxboy, girlxgirl, any romantic relationship between original KH characters are never clear or shown, unlike other characters like Belle and Beast. So I say there are no intimate relationships at all, even though I do not believe this.
The only relationship I saw that was hinted was SoraxKairi, but other than that is purely imagination.

I don't think we should determine strength by what happens in cutscenes or in gameplay. The one hit kill in cutscenes is just there for the convenience for the story and animation. We see Sora killing Heartless with one blow, but it still takes quite a few in gameplay.

We can only guess Mickey's strength from who he has protected, and from what.

I don't believe that would be so. In CoM, Sora fought to protect Naminé, even when knowing his memories were fake. "Maybe my memories are fake. But they're still mine." If Naminé made Sora fight for something he believed in, he defiantly would do so with all his heart.
