Heeeeey, is everything alright? I haven't seen you post in Come, Little Children in forever. D:
`•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´`•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´ Alone at last... The people who came to recruit her had finally left her alone to have her think time as she asked for. One told her to make her decision ASAP while the other told her to try to not rush into anything. If Adam wouldn't have come to intervene, she had a feeling Henrik would have left with a black eye and her heart would have been hardened further. Both of them combined together had seriously sapped her strength emotional wise. She had wandered aimlessly on the beach for who knew how long. Eventually, she came to where the shore seemed to end and began to rise up to high cliffs about twenty feet above the sea. She stopped walking and stood in the sand, feeling the sun warm her back. The sight of the cliffs took Cora's breath away. She just had to get a picture of this. She took her camera and aimed it at the cliffs, aiming it close to the top. She moved it so she could focus on it better, and then spotted something... Cora brought her camera down, not believing her eyes. But now, she could see there was someone on the edge of the cliff. Cora put the camera to her eyes once more and adjusted the lens to get a clear shot. It looked like a young woman dressed in a grey shirt and jeans. She was staring out into space and had some sort of bundle close to her. Raising an eyebrow, Cora snapped a photo of the unsuspecting person. Sometimes when people didn't know there was a camera near by, it made fascinating photos. Cora peered more closely with her camera, zooming it as much as she could on the young woman on the cliff. She could have sworn she saw a tiny hand poke out of the bundle and reach up to the young lady. A baby? Cora was about to lower her camera and turn away to move away, but something didn't feel quite right. Just as Cora was about to move the camera away, she saw that the young woman had stepped to the very edge of the cliff, holding the bundle away from her and dangerously over the edge. The Russian gasped and dropped her camera around her neck."Эй! WHAT YOU DOING?!" She didn't seem to hear Cora though and continued to hold out what Cora had assumed was an infant. The Russian had a bad feeling about this. Immediately, Cora tossed her camera to the ground and sprinted to the water where the cliff was. She tore off her jacket and it fall in the sand and then rushed into the water without hesitation. "Стоп! Stop!" But it was no use. In all but an instant, the young woman let go of the bundle. Down it began to plummet to the crashing waves below. Cora swore she could hear the wailing of the infant above the roar of the waves. She was just waist deep in the water, but she was still too far away. 'I'm not going to make it!Cora screamed in frustration, fearing that she would not be able to prevent the worse from happening. Suddenly, everything seemed to be silent. She could no longer hear the crash of the waves, the crying of the baby, the water sloshing around her... Everything was still. Cora felt her feet come to a halt and reached out to the bundle that was about to fall to the water. And then, it happened. The water before Kora swell and rolled away from her, almost unnaturally. It rolled along the cliff and met with the infant, catching it before it slammed into the abyss below. Instead of the infant disappearing into the waves, it floated on top of the unnatural swell of seawater. Then, gradually, the strange wave began to roll back to Cora gently and easily, still keeping the infant out of harm's way. Before she knew it, the huge mound of water had shrunken down to a small swell and held the crying baby up to Cora as if offering the little on to her. Stunned, Cora took the sobbing infant in arms. The water then lost its form and plopped back into the sea. Cora stood there in shock, holding the baby in her arms. Did that... just happen? She just saved a life by doing...The screaming child in her arms brought her attention momentarily back to earth. She clutched the baby close to her, cradling the wee one lovingly and protectively. "I have you, shhh..." She felt herself move out of the ocean and back on dry land, still holding and comforting the hysteric infant. The Russian looked to the cliff, seeing that the woman was still there, staring right at Cora in shock and bewilderment. As soon as the young woman realized that someone was looking right at her, she made a run for it. Cora heard shouting and then saw a couple of men stop the young woman, holding her and restraining her. Cora looked away from the scene and back down to the little life. Life was just not fair... Cora was so out of it, she barely noticed that some people and paramedics had come up to her, and in an instant, the child was in safe hands. The bluenette stumbled away from the crowd, picking up her jacket and then her camera. With jittery hands, Cora pulled out her phone and dialed Adam's number. When she heard the familiar voice on the other end, she felt temporarily peace. "A-Adam..." Her voice was unsteady, and her knees felt weak. "Zomething happened..." `•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´`•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´
`•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´`•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´ Cora eyed Henrik with suspicion. Something was odd about that man, but she couldn't put her finger on it. The fact that they told her that someone else would be coming to her and asking her to join with them scared her enough. She got the hint that perhaps the next people who came to see her would not be as nice as these people have been. Though they were annoying, Cora figured they meant well. Also the idea that they knew where to find her based on some sort of compass also frightened her. Cora had changed her name long ago in attempt to be rid of her old life and be free, but it seemed as if that did no good. The other people would probably know where to find her too. And the thing that Henrik said about all those she cared about would be killed. She thought of the children she worked with at her swimming facility and also at her dance studio. Because she could never have her own children again, Cora felt that she had children to watch over and protect as her own even though they were not hers. Still, despite all that, Cora was not sure she could trust these people... `•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´`•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´ ╔════════════════════════════╗Location★West Port, New ZealandDay★ [2/4] ╚════════════════════════════╝
`•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´`•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´ As Cora was walking away, someone had run into her, stopping her in place. She looked to see that it was one of the young men that was with the group that came to "recruit" her the previous times. She glared at him, about to leave, but then he opened his mouth and spoke up. "Sorry, um... I heard you say you didn't want us to harass you any further, and I do not want you to think we are trying harass you. I didn't talk yesterday, but I am Adam. I am also in the group. I do not think our last attempts at talking to you worked too well, and I know you said you are not interested... but I wanted to try again and see if we can explain this any better... because we've done a pretty bad job already." She folded her arms across her chest. Her heart was temporarily softened for the time being. At least the boy knew that she did not want to be bothered further by this. He actually wanted to explain things to her instead of sugar coat it. "Yes, your group haz botched badly. I vill no disagree. However, I-" And then the older man had pushed the boy out of the way. What kind of crazy group was this? Again, she was turned off, and again, she felt the anger swell inside of her. Why did she want to associate herself with these kind of people? She turned her back on the boy and the man. She just did not want to be involved with them at all. "Your life isn't normal." "Tch." What did this man even know about her? She continued to walk, trying to drown the man's words out of her mind. "Everyone you care about will die unless the lot of us can stick together and prevent an apocalypse." They were crazy, that was for sure. Perhaps they were the people that thought zombies would rise from the dead and run a rampage across the world. "Look." A hand went on Cora's shoulder firmly, trying to stop Cora from walking. It served its purpose, but something had snapped inside of her. She stiffened and clenched one hand into a tight fist, pulling her elbow back as she turned around to face Henrik. Her eyes were blazing with rage. "My wife and I, lost our children. We had as much of a normal life as you and we had to put that aside. I had to put it aside just for the chance to get revenge." She stopped herself from swinging her arm at Henrik, catching herself on time. Revenge? Cora knew what that was like... "If we leave you to live your life others, far worse than us, will come searching for you. The same ones who plan to bring Hell to Earth. I never believed it was true until I saw proof. You need to listen now before you're stuck staring into the abyss wishing you had made a different choice." Cora shrugged Henrik's hand off her shoulder, not appreciating being touched at all by someone she barely knew. People were going to come looking for her? Should she believe this man? She was about to open her mouth to speak when the lad that had been shoved down earlier stood and began to say his peace as well. "Stop bringing your children into recruitment attempts. I don't care if you are a father and they are important to you. I do not have that connection yet. But they aren't the only ones lost here. Others have lost loved ones. I have lost friends, family. I don't know who is left. I don't bring that into every recruitment session. And it is best you stop it now." The Russian felt something tug inside of her when Adam spoke. He did not experience the pain of losing children, but of family and friends. That itself connected to Cora on a personal level. The boy call Adam was not done yet though. "Look, I know. I am not making it better saying that. You want a drama-free life. And I understand that. I wish I still had that, but the unfortunate reality is that we don't get to make that choice when fate beats us to the punch. We need Fallen, we need people like you. We aren't randomly victimizing you on the street, that compass we told you about... I don't know why Joslyn refused to show it, but it finds people like us. I cannot promise we will win, I hope we win. But if we get you to help us, we can hopefully end this, and then after it all. You can find that peace and quiet you have always dreamed of having. We all can. But... if the people in Hell win... you will never get that peace... and we can only find power in numbers." Silence. The young woman did not know what to say after Adam had laid out his mind in front of her. He was being true with his word, not trying so hard to drag her into this, but to understand their plight... Even though it sounded crazy. She felt chills run up and down her arms. She felt the power behind the boy's words, but also felt the pain of the past coming back to haunt her once more. Cora felt her throat tighten and turned away from the others. "You all zound vierd talking about zis Hell to Earth." She tilted her head back and laughed half-heartily, exhausted by all of this. "No one likes zad stories..." Cora trailed off and looked to the ocean once more. The pain inside of her was just too hard to face, but something of what these people say stirred up something within. "I came from Russia to find peace from pain... Once zah upon a time, I had family. I had husband at young age. I had lover. Ve vere happy. Ve vere expecting first child..." She turned, looking straight at Henrik. Her eyes stung, but she refused to cry. With a shay voice, she continued. "Fate vas cruel. ✴Day~52{2/4}☁Location~Taupo, New Zealand☁✴ Her personal space was being invaded more and more with each passing minute. First it was her shoulder, now a whole arm was wrapped around her head. Elsie frowned playfully and flailed with her arms a bit, but didn't make an attempt to move further. She listened to Lauren and her logic about God having selective hearing and couldn't help but to smile at that. It made sense to her actually. Though Elsie still though that God just didn't hear her at all. Soon her head was free and then Lauren went to go ask Logan how he joined the group. After he told his tale, Lauren bounded back over and began to explain to Elsie the way to recruit someone; mass confusion. "Well," Elsie said, kicking at the ground "it wouldn't hurt to try it that way I think. Then again, confusion might make some people angry. I thought we had Cora pretty confused."
✴Day~52{2/4}☁Location~Taupo, New Zealand☁✴ Elsie was startled when a hand was clasped on her shoulder and looked to see that it was Lauren, the embodiment of the angel of destruction, Though she didn't do anything destructive yet, Elsie made sure she was wary. At least she had a hand clasped on her shoulder like a friend and not pointing a gun at her or anyone like before. "You mean Mormonism or Jehovah's Witnesses," Elsie said in reply to what Lauren was trying to come up with. "But yeah, sometimes I think they're morons and Jenovah's Witnesses sometimes." Elsie had played a lot of video games back in the day. Lauren probably wouldn't get it, but she did and that's what mattered to her. "It's kind of hard to convince people that way if you don't believe in God," Elsie said with somewhat of a smile on her face. "I had to have a voice shout in my head to convince me that theses guys weren't cray cray. Sorry." She shrugged at the others apologetically and then folded her arms over her chest. Suddenly, Lauren shouted to the heavens above and covered her ears to shield herself from the pain of her voice. Dang, she was loud as Dumah. "I don't think he can hear you... No matter how loud you shout." After all, if what everyone was saying to her over the last couple of days was true, God wouldn't hear those who were Fallen from him.
✴Day~52{2/4}☁Location~Taupo, New Zealand☁✴ It sure didn't take long for this group to move along. One minute they were in West Port, the next minute they were in Taupo. New Zealand was a beautiful country to be in, but they weren't really focusing on that. Elsie got the gist of what was going on, but had no clue what to really think of it. All she could do was just play along and hope for the best. They were here in Taupo because they were looking for someone. Sure, they found someone in West Port, but she kept swearing at the group in some weird language and slamming the doors on their faces. Elsie guessed that's probably what she would have done if she didn't see the earthquake happen before her eyes... but she wouldn't swear in a foreign language. Before they left though, Elsie got to learn the birthday boy's name, Adam. For his belated birthday, Elsie gave him a chocolate cupcake from one of the local bakeries. She had them write "Happy Birthday" on the cupcake with colorful frosting and stuck a candle in the middle of it. "I know, you might think this is, uh, weird... But no one should miss their birthday!" Elsie gave him the cupcake after she lit the candle and then gave him at least $35 in New Zealand money. "I don't know what you like, so spend something nice for yourself while you're here, okay?" That's the way Elsie was. Even though she hardly knew anyone, she always wanted to brighten someone's day. It was a good and a bad habit of hers.Adam seemed like the person that needed some cheering up here and there. Then after things went bad with recruiting the angry chick in West Port, the compass that Elsie was told about began to point in a new direction. She was there when the whole group debated about hanging out around West Port. Three people already left to go to Paris, but everyone felt like things would get done faster if they split up and headed out.Somehow Elsie got in the group that was going and here she was now. She was sad that she wouldn't be able to share some of her story ideas she had with Kai, but she promised him they would do it when they got back. Elsie sighed out and stretched, happy that they weren't traveling anymore. "So uh, how does this whole recruiting thing work exactly?" Elsie asked, looking at the others. "It didn't go so well with Arariel..."
That's okay! :3 Alright guys, we're going on Holiday break for a bit. yay Just cause we're on break though doesn't mean the Earning Chances thing isn't closed. It's still open till we get back from break. Base has dropped out, so I took Kyla out of the Roleplay. However, your characters (if you interacted with her) will still have memories of her. She still existed in the RP, so there. As of now, I will do my best to keep things updated in here. I haven't done that, and I realized I needed to be more on top of things. Basil shook his head, answering Analise question. He watched as his cat continue to bask in the attention, purring all the while. He smiled and came back over to the girl, taking a look at her sketch once more. For the rest of the afternoon, Basil spent time with Analise. He liked her very much. The day soon passed by quickly though, and before he knew it, it was time for everyone to go to bed. He lead Analise to the Girl's Room with the others and then bowed to her, silently thanking her for being his friend for the day. After he saw her off to bed like a good servant should, Basil picked up his cat and headed downstairs to the servants quarters. After changing into his nightgown, he curled up in his bed and fell asleep with his cat curled up next to him.The day was quite dull today. Dream Maker could feel that some of the children felt at home while others were still continuing to have their doubts and fears. She walked to the window in her room, looking out into the darkness of the dream world. A wolf howled, not to far away, but Dream Maker paid no mind to it. "So, they are adjusting nicely then?" Dream Maker asked, keeping her gaze on the shadows in the woods. The figure in the dark corner of the room bowed lowly. "Quite. Though some of them still doubt your goodness." Dream Maker pressed her hand on the glass, tapping the cool surface with her fingernails. "It is to be expected... It is not a perfect world after all. Still," she said with a sigh, "I wish I could make things better for them..." Dream Maker suddenly felt a chill run down her spin, and then a pulsating throb through her head. She gasped at the sudden surprise, clutching her head with her free hand. "Mistress, are you alright?" the shadow asked, his voice wavering. "...They all have such tragedies, such darkness inside of them," the goddess of dream mumbled, shaking her head. "It will soon begin..."Ainsley was enjoying her stay in the Dream World so much. She had a fun day today. First she played with a doll house that had the most beautiful furniture and dolls she had ever seen, then she found a swing that was hung in the ceiling and played on that for a while, then she went swimming, had a bath, and then after that, she had dinner. All these activities made her extremely exhausted and she went to bed with the intent of falling into a deep sleep... Her slumber however was disturbed with a poke. Ainsley groaned, turning her head into the pillow. "Go away," she sleepily ordered, trying to find that peace once more in her sleep. She was poked again, and again, but Ainsley ignored it... Suddenly, she was thwaped on the head quite hard. "Ow!" Ainsley whispered harshly, sitting up in her bed while rubbing her head. When she looked down, she was started to see Mr. Bear standing there in front of her. This was Sammy's companion, not hers. Why was he here? "Mr. Bear, go back to Sammy," Ainsley whispered. Mr. Bear shook his head though with folded arms and then hopped off the bed, running to the door to the hallway. Ainsley frowned, getting out of her comfortable bed. "Mr. Bear, come back!" Ainsley whispered loudly, trying hard not to disturb the others. It seemed as if the door opened on its own, and Mr. Bear ran out of the room. Ainsley wrinkled her nose and then tiptoed passed her sleeping roommates and out to the hallway. She spotted Mr. Bear on top of the stairs, and before she could call out to him, he waved to her and then rolled down the stairs. Ainsley knew it wasn't a good idea to be up and about. Dream Maker told them that they needed their sleep to be happy. But she didn't want Mr. Bear to get in trouble, because that meant that Sammy would get in trouble too. So with determination, Ainsley ran after the bear, the bedroom door shutting gently behind her on its own. Ainsley saw Mr. Bear land on his bum when he reached the bottom of the stairs and shake his head from the fall. She was close to him, but as soon as she was in arm's length, he rushed off towards the Exercise Room. "Come back!" Ainsley hissed at him, but he would not listen. The little girl ran after the animated bear, him leading her to the library. Again, the door opened on its own, and as soon as Ainsley came through, it closed softly behind her. She looked around, seeing Mr. Bear disappear behind a bookcase and ran after him. She stopped short and gasped. They were in front of the Forbidden Door; the door that Butler Charles said was locked, but they were to not touch it. However, when Mr. Bear walked up to it, it opened for him just like the other doors did. "Wait!" Ainsley called out to him, forgetting to be quiet. Her hands flew to her mouth, wishing she could take that moment back. Mr. Bear didn't wait though. He disappeared into the darkness of the hallway and out of Ainsley's sight. For once in the dream world, Ainsley felt her little frame shake. That place was off limits, they weren't suppose to go in there. ◖ ❀ Cowardliness isn't becoming of you, so you should be less pathetic in the future. ◗The eleven year old flinched as Elly's words echoed in her mind once more. She thought she had locked them away, but she was wrong. Pathetic, she was being pathetic. She needed to be less afraid. Taking in a deep breath, Ainsley forced herself to step forward, following after the bear in the darkness. Ainsley blinked her eyes rapidly to adjust to the dimness of the room. She looked up, seeing that the hallway was lit up by candles. Ainsley heard a creak behind her, and a gentle slam of a door. She gasped, whirling around to see that the hallway door had closed behind her. Click. The door was locked once more. Ainsley swallowed hard. There was no turning back now. Ainsley pressed on, turning a corner in the narrow, dark, creepy hallway. It was so different from the rest of the house. She couldn't help but to shiver and hug herself. "Mr. Bear?" she whispered for him. "Mr. Bear? Where are you?" She soon turned a corner, and saw Mister Bear. He was on top of a set of stairs leading down further into the darkness. "Please come back," Ainsley pleaded. "Sammy will-" But the bear was already off, hopping down the stairs. Ainsley sighed out, feeling quite hopeless. She looked around her and then followed after the bear down further. The basement was also off limits... Oh man, she was going to be in some serious trouble if she got caught. As Ainsley reached the bottom, she noticed that the lighting seemed to get a little better. She looked around, seeing that the walls were a deep blue, and that the floor was like cobblestone almost. There were shelves lined up along the walls; all of them had glass jars with little light orbs. They almost looked like fireflies to Ainsley, but there was only one in each jar. But the atmosphere of this place... it almost seemed like a prison to her... Ainsley looked around for Mister Bear, anxious to get him and then get out of here as fast as she could. She spotted him clear across the room near some sort of wardrobe. There were six different kinds of wardrobes and cabinets; all of them were painted different shades of blue and had their own design. Mr. Bear opened the second one to the right with his paw and then hopped into it, closing the door behind him. Ainsley stomped her foot in frustration and walked across the room to the cabinet that the stupid stuffed bear disappeared into. "I don't want to play this game anymore," Ainsley stated firmly. "Mr. Bear, we are going back!" Ainsley opened the cabinet only to find nothing in there. "Mr. Bear?" She poked her head in, but saw nothing at all. Nothing was in the cabinet. "Where did you go?" Ainsley whispered.A shadow loomed behind the little girl, its footsteps getting closer and closer. The blonde felt something strange and gasped, wheeling around to face whoever it was behind her, and then-SLAM~~~~~~~~~~~~In the Girl's Room, something lurked and crept along the beds of the sleeping children. It was silent, not even its footsteps could be heard. It came over to Kyla's bed and loomed over the sleeping girl. A grin showed on the face of the shadow, its eyes glowing red. The shadow pulled out a knife, which glinted in a moonlight. In an instant, Kyla was gone, swept away from the shadows. In the kitchen, there was a sound of whistling and clucking late in the night. The chef was up and about. Something that smelled good wafted through the kitchen and the entire house. Something sweet, yet strange...Kyla is dead.RP IS CLOSED UNTIL NOVEMBER 29th (or possible the 30th) FOR THANKSGIVING BREAK. YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO POST. CHANCES ARE STILL OPEN UNTIL THANKSGIVING BREAK IS OVER.

For the last two days, it seemed as if she was being stalked by this crazy group who claimed they were fallen angels and she was one of them. She swore they were like a cult. Why they picked her? She had no clue. She wanted a simple life in a simple place. She didn't want to be mixed up with any groups or any other lives. They were just as bad as Jehovah's Witnesses. Hell, even nosier then that. They were like... She gave up trying to figure out what to call them. She had no clue what they were, but she wanted them to leave her alone. They all needed to be in an institution or someplace where they could find peace once more. Cora gave up trying to take a picture of a dead, dried up, sun-baked sea star. She just wasn't in the mood today. Just as she was about to get up and leave to go find peace elsewhere, a familiar voice spoke to her. When she turned, she felt a sour taste in her mouth already. She gripped her camera tightly, gritting her teeth together. If he wanted to address her in her language, fine. She would do the same. "Слушай, я сказал тебе держаться от меня подальше. Я не заинтересован в присоединении вас, я не заинтересован в присоединении с кем. Для гребаной ради, оставьте меня в покое ужe"!" [Look, I told you to stay away from me. I'm not interested in joining you, I'm not interested in joining with anyone. For fucking sake, leave me the hell alone already!] She turned away from Henrik and looked out to the sea. She could taste the salty air on her lips, and for a moment, feel calm in the storm that was raging within her. "Look, I vant no trouble. I came here zoh I can have simple, good life. You vill not offer me my vish." She turned to him, her eyes darkened over and serious. "I said once, I say again 'Good luck on zeh crusade or vhatever you call it.' I have no interest. I vill call zeh police if you and others harass me further." Cora let the camera fall around her neck. Her shoulders were heaving, trying so hard not to continue with the vulgar swearing and angry talk. She was done with them, just done. "Good day." Without waiting for the man to respond, Cora left the couple on the beach and walked away from them. She needed to get away. Rarely had Cora exploded like that. If this man continued to talk to her, the flame of fury would be ignited further. `•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´`•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´ ╔════════════════════════════╗Location★West Port, New ZealandDay★ [2/4]╚════════════════════════════╝
"Hm? Oh." Jonquil pushed his glasses up his nose and smiled kindly at Analise. "Well, if you don't mind his company, may he stay with you for a while? He's getting under my feet, you see." Jonquil would be more than happy to dump Basil off his back for a moment. He could trust the guest of the house to look after the shy troublesome little boy. Basil was getting on his last nerves after all. Patience was running thin. "I must go attend to the garden, but if you don't want Basil near you, feel free to shoo him away. Ta da~" With a wave, Jonquil left the room with Basil, the mangy cat, and the girl all alone. Basil looked at Analise, smiling in gratitude towards her. He kept his head low though and didn't say a word. He pointed to the sketch book that Analise had and then gestured to himself. He wanted to have a good look at it again. He loved to see what people were up to after all.. Despite the yelling, the cat stayed on the girl's lap, quite enjoying the attention it was receiving. Though the cat wasn't welcomed in the house, Basil just made sure he didn't wander anywhere near the kitchen.
OOC:// on phone, will format later maybe Basil sheepishly backed away from Analise and shrugged his shoulders nervously. He didn't mean to be so nosey, but he was curious what the girl was doing. The cat meowed and circled around Analise's legs, rubbing up against her like she was an old friend. "Basil? Where are you, boy?" The young boy stiffened, looking to where the voice had come from. Jonquil poked his head in and sighed. "Young Basil, how many times have I told you not to bother the guests?" The Head Gardener chuckled nervously and stepped in the room. "I am so sorry, he sometimes doesn't know his place!" Basil ducked his head and looked down at the floor, sorely ashamed of himself. ~~~ Charles bowed to the ladies and walked away from them. Though he acted like he did not hear a word they said, he was listening very carefully to them...
`•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´`•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´All the rest of her afternoon, Cora was at her dance studio, practicing for the Nutcracker showing that was to come soon. She was given the role of the Sugar Plum Fairy, one of the hardest roles to play in the ballet. It required skill, technique, and above all tons of stamina. She was exhausted by the time she came home, but she did not want to fall asleep feeling all sweaty and nasty. As a habit, Cora locked the door behind her and tossed her dufflebag by the entrance. She then disappeared into her small apartment, heading straight to the bathroom. Instead of taking a bath like she would have liked, Cora decided her best option was to take a warm, relaxing shower. She didn't want to fall asleep in the tub and risk drowning herself. Dumbest way to die award goes to Cora Garza, for drowning in a bathtub because she fell asleep while taking a fluffy bubble bath. Cora laughed at herself and then stepped out of the shower, grabbing her towel to dry herself off. Soon, she was changed into her fuzzy green bathrobe and headed to the kitchen for a light snack. The calendar on her wall made her pause for a moment, taking a look at what day it was. Two more weeks, and she would be twenty-four. "Aye, I be old," she moaned, sulking as she went to fridge and grabbed some milk and cheese. After pouring herself a glass, and putting the milk back in the fridge, she made her way to her bedroom with her little snack. As she ate, she picked up on where she left off on with Jane Eyre, reading the words intensely. Though she did not speak English very well, she could read it just fine. An hour or two later, Cora had finished up her snack of cheese and milk and was finding a place to stop in her book. Tomorrow, she would go out and take photographs out on the beach. Finally putting her book down, Cora yawned and stretched out on her bed. After hunkering down under her sheets, Cora drifted off to sleep. `•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´`•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´╔════════════════════════════╗Location★West Port, New ZealandDay★ [4/4]╚════════════════════════════╝
✴Day~49{4/4}☁Location~Birdsville, Australia---> West Port, New Zealand☁✴ Elsie was on her computer and her phone on and off, making arrangements to get her stuff moved out and shipped back to her parents and also to close the rent at the place she was staying at. She could keep up with her classes online, but she didn't know when and where they would get internet access. Elsie's mind was still abuzz with questions that was still giving her a headache. What was going on? Who was she really? Why were Fallen banning together? For what reason? Elsie muttered under her breath as she grabbed her PJs and hit the showers. Then again, with what happened today... The girl decided to change into her day clothes instead, just in case there was an emergency and they needed to move quickly. She then took out one of her many notebooks and sat by the window of the hotel room, looking out into the night. It seemed so quiet and peaceful right now... They had just had a rain storm, but it didn't cause any damage. She wrote a few of her thoughts down in her notebook and continued to write for a half hour until her hand wore out. Sighing, she packed her notebook away and flopped on an empty bed, curling up and falling into a fitful sleep.
"Pencil is correct!" Charles was very pleased that Xyloh got the correct answer and smiled in satisfaction. Soon though, it seemed as if he did not exist to the two girls that were before him. He smiled gently and bowed to them. "I'll be on my way if that is all." "Mraow" Basil's kitty cat walked up to Analise, and tilted its head at her with curiousity. It then sat down in front of her and began to lick its paw.Basil was at Analise side, peeking over her shoulder at the drawing that was on her sketch pad. He tilted his head in curiosity, trying to make out what it was. It looked like it was a wilted rose, and a sad looking one at that...
Alright, you're in. :3 Feel free to post whenever. Would you like to join the Skype chat as well?
✴Day~49{4/4}☁Location~Birdsville, Australia☁✴ The blonde sighed out with relief when Lauren seemed to finally have some sense talked into her. She looked at the older man that came over to help, her eyes saddened when she heard his story. Elsie just barely joined, but by what she had seen so far, this was going to be no picnic. This was going to be very emotionally, mentally, physically, and probably spiritually draining There was no turning back no matter what. Sometimes life and fate were just cruel like that. Maybe that's why she felt like God had never ever heard her prayers, she thought. It was because she was Fallen.. A cast away from God. Elsie's head began to hurt so she ditched that train of thought and brought her attention back to the present. "Aw! What a cute little gal!" Elsie cooed when she saw the little feline and crouched down so she didn't look so intimidating to the animal. She heard Lauren ask if she could bring the cat along. "I don't know if that's a good idea," Elsie said, looking up at Lauren from where she was. "It seems like it's going to be a dangerous journey."
"Hm..." Charles tapped a finger on his chin, trying to figure out a hint to give to the girl. "Use me as just a rock, and I am like black chalk," he said, looking back at the girl. This was quite fun challenging the young minds of today's world. He could go on all day doing this if he wanted to. Charles wondered if anyone else would come to him for a riddle challenge as well. The more the merrier!
✴Day~49{3/4}☁Location~Birdsville, Australia☁✴ So like that, it seemed as if Elsie had joined the band of Fallen angels... Whatever that meant. She still wasn't clear on that. Apparently they had someone else to visit, someone like them- no, someone like her. When she drove up to the house, she could see that the crack seemed to stop here. "Weird..." She chewed on her lip, debating if she should get out or not. The family was out on the front porch, all of them looking distraught and worried. Elsie would be in that phase if she was facing a big fault in front of her own house back at home. She watched as the birthday boy from back at breakfast walked up to a couple of boys and then went around back. Elsie heard something like gunshots and raised an eyebrow. Nah, someone wouldn't shoot the guy... Would they? Having an inkling she should follow, Elsie got out of the jeep and shut the door. She waved to the family as she made her way around back to where she heard angry voices. "Morning time? It's around noon...""Dead time...""That's night... at 3 in the morning...""SHUT UP DUMB BUTT OR I'LL BREAK YOUR NECK." "Dumb butt?" Elsie questioned under her breath, looking from the boy to the girl. Well, no one was shot... yet. She didn't know the guy, and she didn't know the girl. However, she did know things were at a boiling point and something serious had happened. The girl was clearly upset. Elsie cleared her throat, stepping from behind the house and walked towards the two. "Hey, sorry to interrupt... I couldn't help but to follow." Elsie eyed the gun and stopped at a safe distance to give the girl some breathing space. Now what was she going to do? Elsie put her hands in her pocket, trying to come up with something to say. "I'm new with this whole... angel group... but I want to help. We want to help." At least she hoped that everyone else was on the same track as she was. "This whole freak storm? The earthquake that just happened with the ground splitting open? Something isn't right..." She sighed, relaxing her shoulders a bit. "I know it's crazy, I'm still trying to get my head around it, but something weird is going on. Someone just told me I'd be safer off with this group than being alone. From what I heard, you're one of us. And if you're one of us, you could be in danger if you're alone." Elsie's eyes were serious and her voice was steady, but her heart was pounding heavily in her chest. Was she overstepping some boundaries as the newbie? "So... Let us help you."
✴Day~49{3/4}☁Location~Birdsville, Australia☁✴ Elsie felt a hand on her shoulder and saw that Kai was there with them. She smiled at him, glad that he felt the need to comfort her instead of leaving her alone in shock. She looked back at the fault that had formed, realizing how deep it was. It seemed to just go on forever and forever with no end. The blonde felt a tap on her shoulder and looked to see Kai hold up a finger. He wanted her attention, alright. She watched as he reached for his bag to probably grab something to write with and then suddenly, she saw him freeze and hold his head as if he was in a lot of pain. "Kai? Kai!" She put a hand on his shoulder and then leaned in close to try to see what was wrong with him. She watched in horror as his eyes rolled in the back of his head. "What's the ma-" "Elsie Malone." The girl gasped, releasing her grip on Kai and stumbled back. "W-What?" Elsie held her head, not believing what she just heard. Did she hear that right? Or was she going insane? There was a voice inside of her head- "You are a fallen angel." There it was again. And it was so loud! Elsie dug her nails into her scalp, obviously not use to this at all. This was a first for her. It felt like her mind was being invaded. She wanted to scream at this voice to get out of her mind, but something held her tongue and she listened very closely.. "My name is Dumah, and you are Andela." 'Andela...?' "Kai here is in denial. The others you have met are Fallen as well." Despite the voice, Elsie couldn't help but to question if this was real. Was she hallucinating? Did something fall on her head and she was in some kind of coma dream? "These things are no coincidence." Elsie sunk to her knees, still holding her head as the voice continued to speak to her. It was as if this Dumah guy read her mind! "There is a lot to explain and not enough time to do so. Time to go." And then like that, Elsie felt her mind being released. She panted, still holding her head, completely stunned with what had transpired. "Oh man, oh man, oh man. Calm down Elsie, it's going to be okay..." Elsie lowered her hands from her head, looking up to see that Kai wasn't doing so well. Her heart pounded in her chest, still shocked with what had just happened. It looked like that connection took a toll on the quiet boy. She got up from her knees and crouched down in front of him, putting both hands on his shoulder. "Hey, you alright...?" So many questions were swimming around in Elsie's mind. Fallen. What was fallen? The Dumah dude told her that her name is Andela. Names of angels; fallen angels. Suddenly, most of the pieces lined up in her head. She gasped in realization, looking back at the fault, then to Kai. "The weird stuff happening... You and the group you're with, are connected to it... Aren't you?" She bit her lower lip. "But that means I'm involved with it too, somehow." Her mind abuzz with new theories and questions, but as Elsie knew, there was a time for questions and a time for action. According to Dumah, the time for action was now. They had to leave. "Alright..." Elsie removed her hands from Kai and stood up, looking at the others that were with them. "I'm going with you guys. Will that be a problem?" Questions were for later. As far as Elsie knew, they weren't out of harm's way yet. "Where are we going? I have a jeep. I can take a few with me if that'll help. You guys tell me what's going on later. I'm not going to second guess this... Dumah." Elsie thought she had lost her mind and was now Alice in Wonderland. She looked back at Kai, and held out a hand to him. "Guess you guys have a new member aboard?" The girl smiled gently. Sure she was questioning whether this was actually happening, but Elsie learned from her books and movie watching. She had always believed something supernatural was going on with the disasters of the world, but who would believe her if she told them? If she stayed behind and didn't go with this group, she figured she would run into more disasters and have no clue what to do. These people had the answers she needed.
