`•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´`•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´ This was sounding more and more dangerous by the minute. She could die if she let Arariel take complete control over her? The simple life she wished to have seemed out of reach now. She had to learn to control her powers. She had a taste of what it was like yesterday and was terrified of it. For all she knew, she could have possibly killed that infant merely on accident. Of course, no one would know about it but her, but it left a bitter taste in her mouth. She tapped her fingers on the side of the mug, staring down at what was left of her drink. She wasn't quite sure who Henrik's angel was, nor was she sure how to ask. Even if he gave the angel's name, she probably wouldn't understand what he was capable of. To think, just yesterday she was worried about what swimming form to teach her youngsters and to get every move perfectly in the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy. Now she was focusing on the end of the world, Dark Angels, Fallen, and a power that had recently been unlocked. If someone who had some experience was willing to train her and get her caught up with the program, she would take that opportunity. "You vill teach me to no die. 'He'll play nice,'" she repeated and then let out a small sigh. She had an inkling this wasn't going to be easy. "Bah... Okie, I know good place vhere ve can train. No people around. Not far from here. I vant to start today." She then stood to her feet and took her mug in her hands, smiling slightly at Iris and Henrik. "But first, I must use Little Girl's Room. I vill be quick." She nodded to them and made her way back in the cafe. What was she to expect from this? She had no clue. She felt her hand tremble as she carried the mug back to the counter. Was she afraid? But why? After she handed the mug back to the cashier, even though that wasn't necessary, Cora disappeared into the bathroom and closed the door behind her, locking it. She then pulled out her phone and scrolled through her contacts. When she found Adam, she pressed the message box and wrote out a text to him. Cora pressed send and then gently bumped her head against the door. This all seemed pretty foolish to her, but what choice did she really have? What if the Dark Angels they were talking about came today? No, she needed to be ready for anything at all costs..-._.-._.-.Teleportation-No-Jutsu.-._.-._.-. 'Ve are here." The Russian had led Henrik and Iris to a small, cove like place along the shoreline. It was secluded, no human footprints could be seen, and away from the prying eyes of anyone who might catch them. Cora began to stretch, starting with her arms. She had a feeling this was going to take a lot of stamina and sap most of her energy. "Zoh, how do ve do this training?" `•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´`•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´
Chef Tamsey smiled and bowed to Lilicia. "Let me fetch a brush for your hair and a hair tie." The chef then scurried off through the kitchen, for there was a small hallway from the kitchen that led into the servant quarters. Soon, he rushed back to Lilicia's side and smiled. "Now, shall we begin?" Eager to begin, Chef Tamsey began to brush her hair gently to get all the knots out. "So you never cut your hair ever either?"~~~~~~~~~~~~~(◕⋂◕)~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
OKAY! The day was suppose to end today, but due to having a little emotional blahness today, I'm going to extended the end of the day TOMORROW. So this will give everyone a chance to get caught up, explore, wrap up conversations, so forth and so on in the next 24-ish hours. Weeeee~
`•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´`•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´ Cora raised an eyebrow when Henrik asked her an odd question. She shook her head. "No, I have not heard voi- I mean, Arariel. It has been silent in here." She tapped the side of her head, reinforcing that nothing had happened. "It zounds terrifying... Angel can push you that much?" This news troubled Cora greatly. She rested her elbows on the table, resting her cheek on her hands. The fact that Henrik spent time in Russia seemed to be forgotten as thoughts of the supernatural was beginning to take over. Would she have control? What would happen if she allowed Arariel to take complete control? Would it be a good thing? Or would it bring great destruction? Henrik's words brought her back to focus. She couldn't help but to chuckle once more, shaking her head in disbelief. "Not die? Yeesh. Vhat is this? Zeh Hunger Games? No, I get it, no joking. Iz zerious..." Cora pressed her lips tightly together, her smile fading as she grew serious once more. "I vould like to be teached... Vill your vife approve you being my instructor?" She wanted to make sure she wasn't getting in the way of their relationship. After all, she was another woman. Though Cora had no intention of doing anything of that matter, she wanted to be sure everyone was on the same page. "Vould your angel kill me on first lesson? Or vill he be nice?" She wondered if Henrik really had control over himself... If what he said was true, she wasn't so sure this was a good idea. But she didn't want to be stuck behind everyone else and be completely useless. She wanted to get a handle on things as soon as she could.`•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´`•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´
✴Day~53{3/5}☁Location~Taupo, New Zealand☁✴ Elsie stayed hidden behind the wall at the end of the hallway, listening to Joslyn and Will talk. Good, she didn't have to deal with that brat. She was glad that Joslyn had convinced Will to join... And then she heard Logan talk. She sighed, pushing away from the wall and made her way back to the room. What use was she to anyone? If she showed her face now, she would probably scare Will away. Maybe she should just work on more homework, write something... Start over with her creative writing prompt journal. Yeah, she could do that. It wasn't like anyone need her right this moment. She was one of the useless people around here; had no clue what was going on, just tagged along and learned things as they came along. In fact, she didn't even know what the dark angels looked like. Would she know? She sighed as she sat heavily on her bed and stared out of the window. Maybe this was a bad idea after all...
`•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´`•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´ Cora watched the couple before her in silence. Her eyes were smiling though. Even though they had lost their children, they still had each other. Cora wasn't so fortunate to have anyone from the life she lived previously. "Vell, no important to know details," she said as she set the mug on the table and leaned back against her chair. "Zeh power vithin me came alive for short bit. Nothing more." The Russian was distant, thinking back to yesterday. She remembered how shook up she was from the whole experience; not just saving the baby, but what a horrible thing the young mother almost did. The mother must have been suffering greatly to go as far as disposing her own child. It was an upsetting story, even though it ended on somewhat of a good note. Henrik stated bluntly, responding to her offer of a place to stay."Someone else has been paying for the rooms." Henrik stated bluntly, responding to her offer of a place to stay. "But we'll take up your offer if it's not too much trouble. Thank you."Cora nodded her head and spun her mug slowly, looking down at the dark liquid. Anything she could do to help for now on, she would be willing to offer her assistance. Although now she thought about it, she wondered if it was such a good idea to split up. Perhaps they all needed to stay in the same place, just in case. Cora had not met any of the Dark Angels yet that Adam and Henrik kept telling her about for the last few days, nor did she ever want to. "What made you leave Russia?"The Russian raised an eyebrow when she saw Iris elbow Henrik and then chuckled. "He iz fine, he iz fine." She stopped spinning the mug on the table top and kept it in her hands, feeling the warmth of the liquid inside seep into her hands. "After I lose husband and unborn child, I vas not myself. Staying in Russia, no. Vas no option for me. I vould not be here if I stayed." She looked up at Henrik and Iris, the light that was in her eyes moments before was gone. Even though she had a steady voice and was not upset as she was yesterday, she still felt the overwhelming sorrow billow inside of her. This couple were much older than her, but Cora felt like she could relate to them in a sense of losing a loved one and their own children. "Too much zorrow in Russia... Too much pain to face. I choose new place to go. I had no one, I vas alone. America vas too cliche" Cora forced a smirk and took a sip of her lukewarm chocolate. "Zoh, I picked here. Started new life. Now I begin new chapter, vith you." `•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´`•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´
`•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´`•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´ It was done. Cora had packed what she could, put whatever she couldn't take with her in storage, and had pawned off the rest of what she had to help her with travels and expenses. She had a feeling it was going to be costly. On top of all of that, she had to call the swimming pool and tell the staff that she would be no longer holding classes. She told them how very sorry she was, but she had an emergency to deal with. And again, she had to call her dance studio to tell them the same thing. She would have to forfeit her part as the Sugar Plum Fairy and hand it over to her understudy. No one was happy to see her go, but Cora knew that she couldn't stay around. If she was capable of such power as she had witnessed yesterday, she did not want to put anyone she cared about in harms way. She still had her apartment though, hearing that they were going to stay in West Port for a while. She was at a coffee shop now with Iris and Henrik, drinking her hot chocolate slowly."You zay friends of yours had accident yesterday? How zad." Cora set down her mug and smiled at the two of them. "I vish nothing but best health for them. If you vish, I have empty apartment. Zave money than staying at hotel, no? " She waved with one hand and then took her mug in her hands once more. "Adam told you vhat happened to me yesterday, yeah? Very grateful for patience you have had vith me." `•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´`•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´
✴Day~53{1/5}☁Location~Taupo, New Zealand☁✴ Spoiler: Dream Training: Lesson Number One Elsie’s eyes fluttered open. She could see nothing but darkness around her, but there was a strange humming in the air. It was peaceful, like she had nothing to be afraid of even though she couldn’t see anything. The girl pushed herself up to a sitting position and glanced around. Her eyes landed on a figure of a beautiful young woman, encircled about in a soft, radiating glow. The young woman looked up and smiled at Elsie, spreading her wings out for Elsie to see. Elsie gasped and scooted back, not sure if this woman was going to harm her. Spoiler: Dream Training: Lesson Number One “Fear not, Elsie Malone,” the angel said, beaming at the frightened human. “I am not here to hurt you… I am here to help you.” “H-Help me?” The angel nodded her head. “I am Andela, the angel of dawn. You, Elsie, are my vessel. I am you, and you are me. We are one in the same, you and I.” The twenty-one year old pushed herself to stand and approached her angel. She was so beautiful… Why was she chosen to be the vessel of something like this? “I do not get to choose my vessel.” Elsie stopped walking with Andela spoke. Oh ducks, she read her mind. Andela giggled. “It is alright. I am happy to be a part of you. You are happy, kind, and gracious to those you come across… Much like me.” Elsie was about to open her mind to speak, but Andela raised her hand to stop her. “We don’t have much time. There is so much to learn and so much to catch up. Call this training with your angel. Every time you will sleep, you will train with me. Not to worry, your human body will receive the rest it needs. However, you may want to learn from my other brothers and sisters as well. They could give you pointers that I cannot. It has been so long since I have spoken to my host…” The angel of dawn stared into Elsie’s eyes steadily. The lesson had begun. “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.” With that, Andela waved her hand in front of her. The dark void suddenly changed into a beautiful meadow full of flowers, butterflies, and blue skies with billowing clouds drifting across. Elsie breathed in amazement and spun around in place, soaking in her surroundings. “Wonderful, isn’t it?” Andela inquired, watching as Elsie admired the world around her. She came to Elsie and set a hand on her shoulder, bringing the human girl back to awareness. She then gestured to the sky above. “And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.” The angel of dawn smiled at Elsie and then gestured to the flowers and plantlike around them. “Light brings life to all living things. It helps the flowers bloom and the trees grows. It can also bring peace unto man and beast.” Andela’s hand on Elsie’s shoulder glowed warmly, filling Elsie with a sense of calmness and happiness. “It can also bring a sense of healing if we allow it.” “I understand,” Elsie whispered, bringing her hand up and placed it over her heart. Andela gazed at Elsie for a moment. Elsie thought she understood, but she didn’t. Not yet. “Though we can bring life to all living things, we cannot bring the dead back to life.” A butterfly fluttering before the pair sudden froze and drifted to the ground. Its wings began to curl, not making a movement at all. Elsie watched the poor thing, stooping to look at it. “There must be a balance in the world we live in. If we do not keep this balance, disasters unimaginable will rage and end the world. Thus, once something has died, we must let nature continue its course. Death is tragic, but it is a part of the balance.” Elsie sighed, suddenly feeling very heavily. This wasn’t a fairy tale like she thought it was at first. This was harsh reality. She glimpsed at Andela, not sure what to make of all of this. Andela nodded in understanding. “Darkness and light must be balanced. Darkness must exist just as much light exists. Behold.” The beautiful fields before Andela and Elsie suddenly wavered and turned into a waste land. Everything was dry and brittle, things were caught aflame, and nothing was alive. “These are the consequences of light outbalancing darkness in nature…” “It’s… horrible.” Elsie couldn’t think of anyway else to describe it. “Yes, it is…” Andela looked up to the sun that was hanging above them in the vision, her eyes serious. “Too much of anything is never good; even it is a substance of kindness.” Suddenly, the dying world disappeared and Elsie was in the void of darkness once more. But Andela was nowhere to be found. “Andela?!” Elsie called out, looking around wildly. Fear and anxiety were beginning to take over Elsie, shutting off any memory of the good feelings she had earlier. “Without out light, we will surely die.” Andela’s voice echoed all around, but was nowhere to be seen. Elsie suddenly lost her ability to breathe, gasping and clutching at her throat. It was like something was choking her, but she couldn’t see it. “We depend heavily on the light… Shut it all out, and we are doomed.” Elsie felt lightheaded and fell to her knees, wishing that this would stop. Her head began to throb from lack of oxygen, her nails were digging into her neck, but she could barely feel it. “Fear and hatred, love and care, they must all be balanced Elsie. If you let fear take over, it will greatly influence everyone else to feel the same. If you feel overjoyed and happy, they will feel it as well but will not be focused on the task at hand. There must be a happy medium." Elsie was curled on the floor. Her head felt like was going to explode and her lungs ached from having no oxygen enter in. “Ponder on this. I will always be with you, but it is up to you to understand and learn… Until next time, farewell… Elsie awoke with a start, inhaling a deep breath of air. She sputtered on it and began to cough, wheezing as she was coming out of shock. What was Andela try to do, kill her? Elsie sat up in bed, trying to take in heavy, deep breaths of air to fill her lungs with much needed oxygen. She saw spots dart across her eyes and blinked rapidly, trying to get a hold of herself. She felt sick to her stomach and very light headed. Some crazy first lesson that was… And it was up to Elsie to make sense of it all on her own. Feeling a headache coming on, Elsie groaned and massaged her forehead. Today was a new day. The sun was just barely peeking in through the curtains. The girl rubbed at her aching chest, still trying to take in deep even breaths of air. That was some object lesson to show the balance of everything. The girl pushed that out of her head and looked around the room. Now what were they going to do? Recruitment of Will had failed miserably. She wondered if Kai and the others had any luck with Cora. Should they try again with Will? Or should they move on? No, they couldn’t lose any more people to the bad side. So what were they going to do? ‘My brother is coming, the sun I mean. Prepare yourself.’ Elsie groaned. If Andela meant Will… Elsie never wanted to show her face to that guy again.
`•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´`•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´ After a very long and emotionally draining day, Cora found herself stumbling into her apartment in the evening. She had given her statement to the police. The child was wrapped in a plastic bag, Cora was a strong swimmer and she showed her swim instructor license to prove it. She took off the plastic bag when the child was out of harm's way. She didn't mention that she had taken a picture of the young woman on the ledge. Cora knew technology these days. Technology would prove to the police that she was lying. The picture would be destroyed. Absently, she locked the door behind her and grabbed her bottle of vodka and a clear glass. What a fool, she couldn't get drunk no matter how much she drank. Still, she poured herself a drink and sat down heavily on the couch, swishing it around as she stared off into the shadows. Something had sparked in her today. She didn't know what, but she felt it when she was close to a breaking point seeing that little infant about to die right before her eyes. If what everyone was telling her was true, and she was capable of doing such things, she could only fathom what would happen if she let herself fall into the wrong hands. Though she saved a life, Cora sensed she could also destroy hundreds with the power that was locked inside of her. She felt it for a moment, but she knew what she was capable of... Best to go with these strangers then wait for the dark ones to come collect her. "They come to take me away, aha." The Russian downed the alcohol in one gulp and slammed the glass on the coffee table. Maybe she was crazy after all. Having no energy to move any more, Cora took the afghan that was draped across her blue couch and pulled it on her, curling up in the darkness and drifted off into a fitful sleep. Tomorrow, she was planning to leave the almost perfect world she built behind. `•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´`•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´
"You don't know how to braid your hair?" Chef Tamsey asked with a raised eyebrow and a tilted head. This was so out of character for Chef Tamsey. Never had a guest of the house carried a conversation like this before with him. He was actually touching with someone on a personal level for once. "Oh dear, I can braid if you would like me to? Right after breakfast gets cleaned up?" He smiled and stood to attention. "Or you could ask Allie, Callie, or Charles to do it for you if you rather. They're pretty good with hair as well!"~~~~~~~~~~~~~(◕⋂◕)~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Basil slipped into the music room, finding the source of the lovely music. Although Xyloh was just practicing, anyone who could play a musical instrument was amazing to the little boy. Although he was drawn by the melody of the violin, Basil's eyes were tired. He looked drained and pale as if he was sick, and he might as well be. The boy wondered if anyone would notice anything different, or ask... For now, he was going to somewhat keep to himself. The less others knew what was happening, the better it was. That's what Jonquil told him. He had a basket with white lilies and black looking roses in them, freshly picked from the garden. Where was the boy that knew about the flowers...? Not wanting to disturb Xyloh, Basil silently threaded across the room to one of the vases that was full of wonderful, beautiful vibrate flowers and picked a black rose out of the basket. He didn't realize how shaky his hand was... Just looking at the rose made his stomach churn."Mroooow." The noise from his kimono made Basil jump, knocking over the vase on its side. Water spilled everywhere and the vase rolled on the table top, threatening to fall. Basil quickly grabbed it before it crashed to the floor and heaved his shoulders with relief. Oh, he made such a mess. And such a noise as well. He kept his eyes down as he set the vase back in place, silently placing the flowers back where they were supposed to go.
✴Day~52{5/5}☁Location~Taupo, New Zealand☁✴ Feeling pretty bad about the botched up job she did in recruiting the angel of the sun, Elsie left the group and headed back to the hotel they were staying at on her own. No one needed her, not at this moment, so she was going to do her best to stay scarce for a while. With a heavy heart, she entered into the hotel room and flung her stuff into one corner. She sat at the table in the room and pulled out her laptop, deciding to force herself to do some school work instead of feeling sorry for herself. Even though she was on a mission to save a world at doom's door, Elsie wanted to be on top of her education. After all, what if they did indeed win? She would have a lot of catching up to do with school and her writing if she didn't force herself to do something a little every day. And besides, she didn't know when she was going to lose internet or not have internet at all. In fact, she was prepared for the fact she might just as well lose her laptop and belongings as well. It was a good thing she was a well paid mysterious author of a great book series. After trudging through some Psychology and World History homework for a few hours, Elsie decided to call it quits and hit the showers. She wondered how the others were doing with recruiting Arariel. Hopefully they were doing a lot better then they were. After shoving her stuff away and locking it up, Elsie picked a bed and flopped onto it, leaving room for a bedmate in case they needed to share beds, and fell asleep.
No one had asked for a different breakfast yet. Good, good, good. Everyone seemed to enjoy the meal with no questions asked. He was happily standing in the corner when one of the guests stood from her place at the table and came over to him. She greeted him, and then began to talk to him. No one had every talked to him before, save to ask for what kind of meal they wanted. He was just fine with that. This was a bit odd to him though. "Er, why no," Chef Tamsey said with a smile, taking his hair and stroked the long beautiful locks. "Never in my life had I cut this beautiful hair... Save to trim the bangs. Although once one of my chickens chopped at it with scissors, quite on accident." Chef Tamsey waved his hand as he laughed. "It was a disaster. Long hair is beautiful though, don't you think?"
Chef Tamsey with delight as the children began to file in one at a time. Oh how grand this was. Oh! And someone had partaken in his special! This pleased him greatly. "Today, I made you all special hash-browns with... chicken." He just couldn't ruin the surprise, now could he? "That is why I have served you today, it would have upset my servers to serve you this special dish of mine. Oh, but if you don't like it... I guess I could fetch you something else more desirable for your pallet." He sighed. He really hoped everyone would eat and enjoy his creation. "Mistress Dream Maker will possibly be late this morning. She has some things to attend to. But please, eat! Feel free to start without Dream Maker. She will perhaps join later." He bowed and stood in the corner of the room, prepared to take orders if he needed to just in case someone didn't like his special...
✴Day~52{5/5}☁Location~Taupo, New Zealand☁✴Elsie blinked her eyes when Will suddenly sounded an alarm and ran away from them in distraught. Not the reaction she was entirely expecting. "Um... Oops." She shrugged her shoulders and laughed nervously. Her ears felt like they were on fire. Boy she just botched that one. "Aha, I'm sorry." Elsie's shoulders drooped heavily and looked down at the grass, too ashamed to look at anyone. "Now what? Should one of us go after him and try plan Lauren? Or should we wait and try again tomorrow?" Elsie's usual smile all but faded. She felt disheartened and a bit mad at herself. They were suppose to recruit people, not have them screaming in terror for their mother and running away like they were ax murderers. She didn't feel comfortable around these people, save probably Lauren. She felt like she didn't connect with them or really fit in. Sure, she was new to the group and it had only been a few days, but she felt so awkward and odd. Half of her wished she was back with Kai, sharing her story ideas and things she wanted to write in-between trying to recruit Arariel. Leave up to the newbie to the recruitment, and this was the result.
✴Day~52{5/5}☁Location~Taupo, New Zealand☁✴ What did they want? Elsie glanced around at the others, trying to figure out what to do or say. Why wasn't anyone speaking up? Elsie didn't want to be the one to explain things and then botch it up... But if no one said anything, they were going to lose someone to the Dark Side or something. She sighed, not feeling too comfortable about this. "Well... something lead us to you, Will." She looked over to Joslyn, wondering if she would ever show that compass to them. "You know the weird stuff that's been happening around the world? The plane crash with the demonic message, the electric storms, the zombie people, the earthquakes, all of that? They're connected. I know it's crazy, and I'm going to sound really, really crazy here, but it's because... The world is possibility going to end as we know it. You know what's causing it? Satan. Satan and his kingdom." She sighed, rubbing the back of her head. "You are chosen because you are what we call Fallen, a cast away from heaven. You are a host of an angel. We all are." She gestured to the group. She totally would not buy herself right now if it was her that was trying to be convinced. "We're trying to join together as a team to stop the impending doom from coming. It's gonna happen, whether you believe it or not. But we can probably stop it. You can help us, Will. I mean, I'm still figuring out how I can help... But I know the answer is going to come." She then grew serious, folding her hands in front of her. "If you stay here, one of Satan's goons are going to come for you, and they're not going to be as nice as we are... If we could find you so easily, so can they. You're safer coming with us then staying here on your own..." Elsie didn't know what else to add, so she trailed off to let it sink in. She wished Dumah was here to shout in Will's head to convince him...
✴Day~52{4/5}☁Location~Taupo, New Zealand☁✴ Elsie was lost in thought for a while as they walked, not really sure what to say anymore. All the sudden, she had this bad, depressing feeling inside of her. It seemed to have come out of no where. How odd. Why did she feel anxious and sad? Had something happened that she wasn't aware of. In any case, she hoped that the group would soon find whoever it was they were looking for, recruit him, and then go back to the others. She didn't like being split up like this. It was like one of those horror movies where they thought splitting up was a good idea, but it really wasn't. People died every time they would split up. Her dismal thought soon ended though when they came to a park. Joslyn lead them to a boy who looked, rather young. She stood back and watched as Joslyn began to start the interview. It was going okay until Joslyn asked for the guy's age. Elsie facepalmed and laughed nervously. "Joslyn, that's kind of a creepy question," Elsie said with a small smile. "Sorry, I'm Elsie, this is Joslyn." Looking back at the others, she expected them to introduce themselves too.
Okiedoodles! I'll be posting as much as I can in the OOC section to keep everyone up to date. Lots may or may not happen soon~
The morning seemed to be eerily quiet... Though the wind stirred gently in the trees outside, there was something unsettling in the air. When the girls woke up, nothing would seem out of place... Nothing... Except the empty beds of Kyla and Ainsley. Both beds had been neatly made as if no one had slept in them in the first place. The smell of breakfast wafted through the house, smelling sweet and also odd at the same time. Maybe some of you would notice, maybe not. Mr. Bear was tucked away with Sammy in her bed as well. Chef Tamsey whistled merrily as he sat his creations on the table, ready to be eaten and enjoyed. His oversized chicken servers were absent, but that was just fine with him. He was in a rather good mood today. After all, he was given a rare ingredient to his secret recipe last night. Oh it had been so long since he had it! He smelled the contents of the plate and then placed it reverently in front of the empty chairs. There would be two empty chairs at breakfast today. Such a pity... On the plate, there were perfectly cooked cubes of hash browns with bits of what it seemed like chicken mixed in with it. Was it chicken? Perhaps... Since the chickens were missing this morning. When he was finished serving, Chef Tamsey clapped his hands in delight and then rang a little bell, which sounded throughout all the house. "Time to wake up! Breakfast is served children!"
For now? Would you like me to keep Kyle then?
