No, I don't think it matters what mode your playing in to unlock the ES battle. No, the game starts back right before the final battle after you save. And your welcome!
Same thing, beat the game once. Then return to Disney Castle. Oh, and I think you have to press circle after the end game statistics show.

I would of wanted Kairi as the one who weilded the Kingdom Key. I feel the Kingdom Hearts series doen't show enough ofher and doesn't aprecitate her as a character. Sure she shows up now and then, but not like how they show Riku and Sora.
