The others are lost too, I suppose." *** The stranger had stepped back a few feet, watching intently. Vexneah hadn't noticed him yet.
The stranger stepped back and let Gale pass him, but still stayed close. *** Vexneah could hear Gale's voice getting less and less faint. "Gale? I'm coming!" she shouted.
The stranger nodded, following Gale. "I've never seen you before. Who are you?" he asked.
Vexneah heard Gale's faint voice again. "I knew it!" sheexclaimed excitedly as she continued to follow the voice. *** The stranger crossed Gale in the halls and blocked his path. "Hello..." he smirked.

She switched directions and started cautiously pacing towards the voice. *** The stranger was walking down a hallway, listening for anything helpful. He picked up a voice calling for Vexneah. He had no idea who this person was, but his walk broke into a run as he followed the source of the voice.
