The lesser nodies have absolutly no reason not to speak. Like in an earlier post, heartless are mindless. The most they could say would be like a roar (unless you're Ansem, Seeker of Darkness). It would be interesting to have them speak telepathically. It would explain why in battle, with the execept of the XIII members, why they make no sounds (vocal sounds, no *swoosh* or *pop* when they die).
Saix isn't really that bad. He just wants the same thing that Xemnas wants. I read that he and Xemnas are the most nobody-ish XIII members, which explains why they are so loyal to eachother and their goals. Axel was able to have "emotions" while Saix couldn't/didn't want to. That makes sense because why would you want to fake something if you're going to get it later? Saix probably devoted all of his time after becoming a Nobody into the Kingdom Hearts project of Xemnas'. He probably would've seen that Axel was wasting time and would rather buy ice-creme than help the XIII. Saix was trying to get something accomplished, and was; pardon the pun, heartbroken when he "died". Axel was enjoying his "life" while he could.

Not to revive a dead thread, but in KH2 didn't it say somewhere that only the heartless Xehanort made had emblems? And yes, the dark sora could've been more important. Was there a point to Darkside anyway? Is he like Cubia or something?
