Cringe material like none other. And I'd eat it up.
I feel so stupid for having said that Kingdom Hearts II is a better game than the first, just because you can use a launcher and have near never-ending button mash combos... Anyway, new opinions I want to get off my chest: Highly conservative Republicans, and especially Libertarians, are some of the most privileged and ignorant people I know of. Just because you're doing well and have a certain set of morals doesn't mean the world should just keep rolling the way it is. Everyone should at least try to learn another language. It's truly one of the greatest ways to inspire globalism. Tradition without progression is potentially worthless and potentially regressive to humans. Why do so many people raised in highly religious or anti-religious or areligious backgrounds often become more open-minded? Because they're opening themselves up to new lifestyles beyond what they've known for so long. Space exploration is one of the most important things we have as a species, and the fact that so many people couldn't care less about it speaks so much about a proper lack of education as well as a propagation of intellectual apathy. The fact that people care more about the God damn Kardashians than they do about water being discovered on a neighboring cosmic body or the advancements of technology that have come and will come from interstellar travel is one of the most disappointing things I've become familiar with. Religion has absolutely no place being publicized in the White House, so why give a shit if any of our U.S. Presidents isn't Christian? If you want a theocracy, move to Vatican City. If you're against a government with any religious beliefs at all, just get over yourself you causeless rebel. We need to stop affirmative action in its current state and start caring more about the skills and dedication of workers. I literally Googled "affirmative action" and it's synonymous with "positive discrimination." This is not to say that minorities do not have obstacles imposed upon them, but the way to go about it isn't taking jobs and scholarships from people who actually deserve it. Gun ownership is a right that should be earned, not freely given. Require people to go through proper supervised training and psychological tests. Never sell fully automatic weaponry to the public; you do not need these firearms for any rational recreational activities. As annoyed as I'm getting with stories about school dress codes, many of them truly are barbaric in the United States of America. There's a certain point where I do agree that people of a younger age should cover up a bit (like, at least wear things to cover your crotch and butt and chest in public), but to restrict garments just because they expose things like shoulders and legs and backs is giving into the excuses so many sexual assailants have given. Have a God damn backbone, people. College needs to stop being pushed upon the younger generations as if it is the only road to success, happiness, respect and any other positive aspects of life. There are many careers that don't need degrees and make fine money and do really good things for communities: plumbers, electricians, mechanics for heating and refrigeration, public transport operators, etc. A product is not only as good as its fan base.
1. Kind of a cheat, but basically the opening of Final Fantasy VIII. Perfect mix of science fiction and fantasy, with magical summoned creatures and spells mixed with space travel and robots. 2. Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Marvel's The Avengers. Basically a mixture of fantasy and science fiction, which means stuff like Alien and The Iron Giant don't work with the genre to me. 3. Combinations of lore, advanced technology, mysticism, classic roles such as knights and emperors given technological overhauls. 4. A basic tease of the film's major themes and aesthetic.
Depends on how respectful that person is.
I don't mind people saying we should pay attention to our democratic process, but to literally say "I don't care about galactic exploration and the further advancement of technology" loses all of my respect.
Expected this.
Math is true neutral. Writing assignments requiring I bother people about stuff I don't really care about is chaotic evil.
MIsty please you're the only one I can ask this and hope for a good answer. Why are theaters running limited screenings on Wednesdays when nobody...
I don't really care for rankings either, but the game does have a lot more content beyond its story. I will agree with you though, it really comes down to what you expect in a game. I knew to expect just a bit of story and a lot of fun gameplay, which I got. It's fine that you purposely wanted to wait for another episode to discuss the game, but I hope you understand what I'm getting at with your tone toward the game? I'm not saying you can't have that opinion at all, but I just wanted to hear more about what Nick was bringing up and I wasn't a fan of the way you kinda dismissed it; there are better ways to have gone about it. Maybe in the future, just say "We'll discuss that game another time, so let's keep this episode on Kingdom Hearts Ground Zeroes 2.8 Aqua Fun Times."
Alright I'll comment then. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes had A LOT more content than just "30 to 40 minutes." Sure, canon story material was about that length (actually longer if you consider the cassette tapes that involve the story as well), but the number of Side-Ops and different ways to go about missions makes the game at least 6-7 hours worth of content. My own playthrough has clocked over 17 hours, which is on par with my replay of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Without skipping cut scenes. Misty, I know, I get it, you don't like Final Fantasy XV, but pleeeeeeeeease don't cut off conversations about the game because of your feelings. I want to hear other people talk about it instead of more complaints from you. Sorry. I'm used to Kingdom Hearts having odd names since...it's been like that for around 8 years, guys. Longer than it's been regular naming conventions.
...you don't have to play social politics. I actually enjoy our debates sometimes, but I feel I went too far now. Yes I screw up things, I'm freely admitting that I shoulda worded my retorts better this time. Hell, I shoulda just let you say your opinions and not even barge in with my own ideals. You ain't just text on a screen, man. I saw that with whatever meaning you can parse. I honestly feel terrible about the whole thing now.
Dude...jeez...I'm sorry... I'll delete what I said if it means anything? I didn't think you'd take it this personally. I really am sorry...
...do you have to talk like this? I pointed out flaws in the film already, and it's a film I really looked forward to and wanted to enjoy a lot. The big interesting concept you brought up kinda falls apart when you put it against all of the things the film does wrong. It feels like a half-thought-up story made to fit the amazing effects more than anything. Alien manages to show corporate apathy toward employee lives while also being a fantastic thriller utilizing an unconventional starring cast for its time. Aliens is still a cultural craft of love that reflects the Vietnam War and the idea that technologically superior warriors can be overtaken due to arrogance and the lack of understanding a species like the Xenomorphs. Prometheus promises to deliver on an intellectual story of creation and nihilism but instead ends up showing countless scientists from the future dying in the dumbest possible ways and who constantly fail to communicate simple messages with each other to preserve their lives, and the most interesting parts were David and the very end with a vaguely-Xenomorph creature appearing from, I kid you not, a woman who just had a C-section of an alien octopus and managed to outrun what is supposedly a member of a technologically and intellectually superior species. If you don't want to discuss it, fine, but please don't talk like that to me. I respect you more than that.
There are plenty of other films and series that pull off these messages but do so without being bad films. It's hard to separate what interesting concept you extracted from such a train wreck.
It has my seal of massive disappointment. Opens so many more questions than it even tries to answer. Scientists act like complete dipshits. The pacing is ass.
I would like to know how
ew prometheus Like, the visual and audio design is fantastic, and I like the concepts of the story. But hot damn that writing and directing is trash.
I'm all for people owning guns, but there's little to no good reason for them to also stock up on live ammunition the way so many do in the United States. So rather than regulate firearms, regulate supply of ammo. Keep it in places where only those places where a gun can be safely utilized for something beyond police and military necessity, like shooting ranges and specific areas for hunting. This might bring up the argument "But what if people know how to make their own ammo?" Well, I'm pretty sure there's no way to regulate that...short of national overreaching levels of surveillance, which I'm against. There's no perfect solution, but this is the best one I can think of. I'm also for mental studies and background checks to purchase ammunition and firearms.
It's a fantastic fighting game that's been ailed with some of the worst nickel-and-dime DLC implementation I've ever seen. There are costume packs that cost more than the game. Tecmo Koei refuses to fix the issues still present with the PC port, which didn't even get online multiplayer for nearly half a year after it launched, and even now it barely works. There are at least mini-games in this, though at the point TK is at now with cutting corners and selling DLC that should just be in the game, I might as well call DOAX3 a mini-game by itself with all the good ideas they just ignore.
