Musical Mission Submission for Xara: ♪ When Will My Life Begin? ♪ Solo Corona 5 Crowns, 300 Munny
"What a straight forward answer," Xara mumbled under her breath. Everything was unclear to the girl at this point. She wondered what happened with the rest of the group she briefly met. She even wondered if they remembered her up to this point. Maybe they forgot about her? And who was to blame. With creeps like the old guy running around, there was sure to be other things to worry about at the moment. She moved over to a group of shadows, carrying on as she was but with a little song she whispered. "Little Bunny Foo-Foo, hopping through the forest, scooping up the... shadowy things, and... BOPPING THEM ON THE HEAD!" Once they were wiped out, her attention was turned on the white pod. She had forgotten all about it, and was surprise to see it laying around here still. She ran over to it, and peered inside. Someone or something was surely in there. "Whoa..." She tapped on the glass, ignoring the battle for a moment. "Yo, can you hear me?" She called to the thing trapped inside. A Dark Ball suddenly swooped in and Xara dodged roll out of the way. She wondered... Why did the old guy live what he was after behind? "What? Me? Rest? Ha!" Xara jumped on a shadow heartless with the ha, sending it to wherever they went. "Thanks, but no thanks. This is actually kind of better than wandering around for hours on end with nothing to look at." Xara hopped at a Dark Ball, engaging in battle. She smirked when it enlarged, and rolled out of the way when it was starting its hissing fit. She then slid behind it and jumped up, slaying it. "Are you from the group that was called by the letter?" Xara asked Aisleen and Veera, smacking a shadow away from her feet. A few more shadows and Xara was going to change her pace back to a Dark Ball. Those things seemed more entertaining than the shadows with the weird antennas. Hack, and slice. Hack, and slice. One thing was for sure; Xara was going to have a serious talk with the old man when they found him again. These things were annoying! But the fact that he said he had held them back up to this point made her wonder about the power he truly possessed. She had a feeling she didn't want to find out. The thirteen year old continued to hack and slice, adding some fancy spins with her movement. All her training and practicing had finally clicked in her head. They were going to make it out of here, even though this was kind of getting boring. Shadow heartless were hit back, and she moon-walked as more were starting to crawl to her. "Doo, doo, da, doo~!" She jumped up, putting her hands in the air. "MANA, MANAH!" And then she began to bop heartless on the head. "Doo, dooooo, do, do-do, do-do, do, doo-doo, dah, doo, dooooo, DO~!" And finished with one last swipe to the head of her sixth shadow heartless. The purple haired girl decided she had enough energy to do one more Dark Ball before she headed back into the fray of the little guys. After all, it was a lot more entertaining to hit the larger ones than the tiny ones. She liked how they seemed to throw a little tantrum if given the chance. Finding another one, she had at it, beating him left and right, even doing a flip in the air to finish it off. It poofed, and she zoomed to a shadow, making it disappear into smoke and then took care of the one she booped on the nose earlier. Xara ran after another Dark Ball, wanting just maybe one more challenge... Or two. It didn't seem like anything was slowing down the numbers. She wondered in her head if the old guy was still hanging around, or really left them to get killed by these things. This fight almost seemed too easy though. Each kill was going smoother and smoother, and Xara wondered how long that would last. Finding another one of those balls of fun, she jumped up and got to work, hitting it and swinging at it like a pinata at a fiesta. If only there were candy inside, Xara thought sadly. Man, I'm really craving some food! With a battle cry, she cut it down without any problem, then hopped-skipped to the little shadow heartless that seemed to be hanging around waiting for her to get down, slicing it up. She then tapped one on where a nose should have been. "Boop!" Xara wanted to have some more fun... Those Dark Balls were a blast. Well, the previous one was. Literally. She first took care of the shadow she injured, wiping it out of existence before she spotted another ball hovering near by. Smirking, Xara charged forward, jumping up and smacking it around some. When she landed, the dark ball went into berserk mode. "Whoa!" Roll, after roll, after roll, she managed to get some distance before she moved behind it, jumping up and smacking it from below, making it poof. A shadow jumped from behind her on her back and she grunted in frustration. "OFF" She flung it away, and attacked it until it was no more. "Another one bites the dust~!" she said in a sing-song voice with a wiggle of her hips and a snap of her fingers before getting serious once more and back into battle mode. "Got it!" Xara said, giving Aislinn a thumbs up. She turned to look for the Dark Ball, only to see it vanish in a cloud of purple smoke. "Wha-?!" The cloud suddenly zoomed to her, and the strange creature appeared again in great size, thrashing its little arms at the girl. Xara barely dodged just in time, somersaulting out of the way and coming back up on her feet. She pointed her keyblade, not sure what she was doing, but it was coming by instinct. "F-FIRE!" A small red flame exploded out like a mini canon, hurdling at the Dark Ball. It hit, which made the Dark Ball stagger a bit while floating. Xara raised her eyebrows, staring at end of the keyblade. "Cool." She got back down to her fighting stance, and then charged head on. She jumped in the air, and began to swing and twirl, not giving the dark ball a chance to recover. She then brought the keyblade down over its head, making it disappear into a poof of black smoke. Xara did a flip and landed on the ground, standing back up and counterattack one shadow heartless that was coming right at her, making it disappear too, and hit another one on the head. Spoiler: OOC ooc://Apologies for the wait. Thank you for including me in the fight even though I haven't been posting. Going through stuff, haven't been 100% in anything lately. I'll try to post with you guys every time you post to keep up. Xara took note of the newcomer, but she kept to herself as she struggled to hold her ground. It had been so long since she fought like this, she had to dig in the dark reaches of her mind to remember her training. She hit one shadow, then two, then a third, swinging her key blade left and right in a dance she was gradually remembering. She smirked to herself, stepping out of the way when another shadow tried to swipe at her, only to counter-attack, that making her fourth. "Thanks by the way!" Xara called over her shoulder to Aislinn. She then swooped low to the ground, cutting her way left and right through the shadows to a large dark ball. This one was going to be tricky. Xara swung her key blade left, then right, then straight down in front of her to hack down the annoying little guys first. She didn't want them to crowd her. A few more swipes, and her grand number was six shadows now. "Seems like we just keep running into all sorts of people. Glad you're on side!" she said to Aislinn. As far as she could tell, she was willing to help. For now. Then again, so was that old man. Then there was that redhead guy. Two people she was uncertain of at the moment, but she figured she would get to know them later. If she needed to fight for herself and Veera, she would. Though with what Xara saw in glances, Veera could handle herself just fine. Stressed Out by Twenty One Pilots on Blurryface Spoiler: Lyrics I wish I found some better sounds no one’s ever heard, I wish I had a better voice that sang some better words, I wish I found some chords in an order that is new, I wish I didn't have to rhyme every time I sang, I was told when I get older all my fears would shrink, But now I’m insecure and I care what people think. My name’s ‘Blurryface’ and I care what you think Wish we could turn back time, to the good ol’ days, When our momma sang us to sleep but now we’re stressed out. Sometimes a certain smell will take me back to when I was young, How come I’m never able to identify where it’s coming from, I’d make a candle out of it if I ever found it, Try to sell it, never sell out of it, I’d probably only sell one, It’d be to my brother, ‘cause we have the same nose, Same clothes homegrown a stone’s throw from a creek we used to roam, But it would remind us of when nothing really mattered, Out of student loans and treehouse homes we all would take the latter. The girl, now that her guard was up, was ready to fight. She was stunned when Veera stepped in front of her though as if to protect her from the old guy before them. This was new to Xara. Xara was always used to fighting alone and defending herself. There was dabble about this guy being in some kind of organization. Whatever that organization was, it didn't sound good. The man suddenly shouted that the elder one would go first, which snapped the girl back to attention. Before she could shout or react, a hurling flame came out of no where to parry the attack, catching not only the old man off guard, but Xara as well. A man with red hair stepped out of the shadows, someone that Xara didn't recognize. She listened to the old man and this new guy exchange words, both seeming to not know each other at all. They were saying terms she didn't understand, but this wasn't the place or time to ask questions. The old man said something about forces, and then dark creatures suddenly appeared. Xara gasped and gripped her keyblade tightly, looking all around her. Were these creatures really here the whole time? And one guy was holding them back for this moment? Chills went up and down the girl's spine, not wanting to think about how long she spent being so lucky up to this point. Xara turned to look at the man with the red hair as he said something about to leave the introductions for later cause he needed help getting rid of all these creatures. The girl silently agreed, watching as the man set ablaze and started to have at it at the creatures. Taking in a deep breath, Xara held up her keyblade. She was terrified without a doubt. When was the last time she fought? Did she forget everything while in this place? "This is just like sword fighting," she told herself. "You know how to sword fight..." Turning a keyblade a certain way, the girl charged toward a group of three shadow heartless. "RAHHHHHHHHH!" She let her keyblade swing like a sword, feeling it impact on the shadowy beings. She swung again, and again, pushing them back until they poofed into oblivion. A pain seared through her arm, and she turned, swiping at another shadow that caught her off guard. "Focus, Xara, focus!" the girl whispered to herself, catching another shadow heartless in the corner of her eye and went at that one too.
Xara had fallen silent after her spill of questions, letting the adults talked. She was still listening though, very carefully in fact. As her teacher once told her; you learn much more in silence than in noise. As this Captain guy was speaking, she couldn't help but to feel anxious. Something didn't seem right. She kept hearing him say how they were beacons of light. A light shining brighter than his. Light had to be cherished... So many analogies with the light stuff. When they came to a cave, Xara felt the fear inside intensify. It was so dark and dreary looking. The Captain wanted to go inside. If that wasn't ominous enough, she didn't know what to do and glanced at Veera. Veera chose to go forward, so she did as well. 'Quit being such a scaredy cat,' she scolded herself as she hurried along. 'You're probably overthinking this.' She then realized she was being left behind by the Captain and hurried up. He seemed to be anxious about something too, but anxious as excited verses Xara's own fears. Soon, they reached the end of a tunnel and the girl stopped in her tracks. There was a dead end, but there was a pod of some sorts there. It almost looked like a flower bud to Xara, not ready to be opened yet. The Captain's words brought the girl out of her thoughts once more. Beacon within the darkness... Something about owing a general ten bucks. The Captain then kicked over the pod, much to Xara's surprise and said something about it being a long haul. Xara began to feel her heart hammer in her chest, and the alarms in her brain were threatening to sound off. Something was wrong. But what was it?! Xara had no choice but to follow the captain outside. She couldn't help but to worry what was in the pod with the way the Captain was handling it. "Shouldn't you be more careful with that...?" The question trailed off as they reached the outside of the cave once more. As the old man addressed them, Xara's sinking suspicion was finally manifested. A keyblade was summoned and pointed as threatening words rang out in the darkness. Realization suddenly hit Xara and she summoned her own keyblade. "You used us!" Her eyebrows furrowed as she got in a fighting stance, prepared for battle. " I don't know what for, but it doesn't seem like any good! What's in the pod, old man?"
Xara raised an eyebrow while looking at the others. Her questions answered just brought up even more questions than the girl was anticipating. With a flick of her wrist, her own keyblade vanished from sight. Well, I guess we don't have much choice but to follow, thought the girl. She walked behind this new guy, glancing over her shoulder to make sure her other two companions followed. They were being rather quiet. Clearing her throat, Xara put her hands behind her back as she walked. "Um, sir... Captain... Is there some kind of war going on? I know it's kind of stupid to ask, but... I don't know how long I've been here." She kicked at the dust as she walked, then scurried after the man again. "How did you get here? You said something like our hearts led us here... Did your heart lead you here? If you know how to get out, why are you still here? I would want to stay away from this place, you know, keep it at an arm's distance..." The girl laughed nervously, then coughed. "Um. Sorry. I'm asking too many questions... My social graces are kind of rusty. I'll tone it down. " She chewed on the inside of her cheek, glancing around the darkness. Seemed like the scenery was the same to her.
"Huh?" Xara turned to the sound of the voice, startled by the sound. She was so used to hearing her own voice, she didn't know what to think of the other voices added in the mix. An old man appeared and Xara stiffened, wondering if she should step into a fighting stance or not. The keyblade's pulling stopped and she stood a little straighter when the strange man approached her. He smelled like smoke and something else, but she couldn't figure out what it was and crinkled her noise. She then leaned back, having a hard time stopping that reflex when the man peered at her closely. Something he said about her heart leading her here made her confused... She looked back at Eon when he mentioned living and surviving in the darkness, and her eyes saddened. She had a feeling there was more meaning to that than he let on, but now was not the time to talk about it. "I don't know how I got here... I got lost in a world, trying to figure out what this keyblade is." She lifted it up carefully, feeling the weight in her hand. "I think I was with this group... My memory is kinda fuzzy. But then I wound up here. I didn't run into dark creature thingies though... I just woke up here..." She gestured to Eon and Veera. "I barely found them, I thought I was all by myself. Oh, right... " Xara's green eyes looked back at the man, realizing she had some very important questions to ask him. "Who are you exactly? Why are you here?"
"Nice to meet you Veera!" Xara exclaimed with a grin, taking her hand and giving it a good friendly shake. The girl didn't let go right away though. The hand was tangible, this couldn't be a figment of her imagination. Would it be possible that she would finally get out of here? 'Yo, you're being awkward,' her inner voice kicked in. Realizing that she was still holding on to the woman's hand, she laughed halfheartedly and released her hold. "Um, sorry, just wanted to make sure I wasn't dreaming... This place is making me loopy. Let's vamoose." Xara looked down to her hand, remembering that she still had the keyblade She was gripping it so tightly, yet she forgot she had it out. It was still faintly pulling in another direction she realized. She looked up at her two friends and beamed. "Well, Eon found me. He said there was a light coming from me or something... But my keyblade pointed to him. And then I found you by feeling the tug of the keyblade." She examined her weapon, her green eyes happy and energetic. "It seems to know where to go... And I still feel a tug... Coming from... that way." Xara pointed to the right of her. "Let's head out." She then began to walk forward, using the keyblade as a guide within the darkness, expecting the other two to follow. Deep down, she was hoping she was still not dreaming and would actually get out of this place. What was it like out there right now? Would it be nice? Would the light be too bright? Did pizza not exist anymore? Shaking her head, she focused back on the pull, concentrating to make sure she was heading the way it was telling her to go.
Xara shrugged her shoulders after Eon was done explaining what happened to him and proposed that he felt like someone was looking for them. "I dunno when I got lost. I just remembered seeing Eon in some place... Being told I needed to pick a world... And when I did, I was a raccoon, and then poof!" Her fingers made an exploding effect as she looked around. "I wound up in this place. All I know is I'm very hungry..." A loud stomach growl erupted and Xara clutched her stomach, smiling sheepishly at the group. "I thought I would be stuck in here forever until Eon showed up... And then we found you! Erm, what is your name exactly Miss? I'm Xara, like Eon said. And this is Eon... If you haven't guessed already." The girl kicked at the dust on the ground, looking around the abyss. "I don't know about a third person being here... Heh, I didn't think you two were here at all. I thought I was all alone."
