❯ ❯ Glancing up at the television, you catch the ending of the dolphin documentary. You nod your head in its direction and clear your throat. "So apparently this dolphin saved a little kid and now they are integrating it into the Water Patrol for the police force. The likelihood of that ending well seems slim to none." It did sound rather farfetched. The dolphin was wild and untrained. It would be far too much work to domesticate an adult dolphin. Your friends seemed to agree with this statement. ❯ ❯ Roxam reached forward to seize a sandwich when the sight of something caught her eye. The spine of the grimoire peaked out from under the couch and she pointed to it with the sandwich in her mouth. "You brought that down here?" she asked curiously with a mouthful of food. ❯ ❯ You nod your head slowly and reach under the couch to pull out the grimoire, setting it on the table by the snacks. The cover is made of leather and appears old and worn out. There is a buckle latch to keep it shut and you undo the latch. The book falls open, smelling of parchment paper and Mountain Dew. "I thought we could try looking for a new spell. There has to be something strong enough in here." ❯ ❯ "I thought we've tried pretty much every summoning spell in their for spirits? I don't think Loxare wants to talk to us," Elegant chimed in. ❯ ❯ Shaking your head, you turn to your friend. "Not for Loxare. We all know something isn't right. She wouldn't just ignore us. She would want us to know what happened to her and if she was okay. I think we need to try summoning Death again." ❯ ❯ Tales leaned forward, resting a hand on your shoulder. "You know Death's ignoring us. He won't come." ❯ ❯ You brush off his sign of pity and stand up. "It's different. This time, I found a spell that will work for sure. Death will not be able to ignore us." There's a strange glint in your eyes that leaves your friends wary. ❯ ❯ Do you: A] Try summoning Loxare again, B] Use the old summoning spell on Death, C] Try the new spell, or D] Close the grimoire and do something else?
