[ scarf of the day | tumblr ][ occ: n/a ] Brian tossed and turned in his bed. His bloodshot eyes cracked open wildly as he rolled onto his side, and eventually off the bed entirely. He was so tired he didn't even care as the dulled pain shot through his torso and chest. He found comfort on the icy floor as he finally drifted to sleep. Footsteps. Brian's eyes opened again. His face, smashed against the floor, was pointed towards the door. It was closed, but he saw the shadowy steps pass by. His eyes widened. Who was in his house?! He quietly lifted himself up and threw on a pair of pajama bottoms and a sweatshirt. And of course, he couldn't forget his scarf. The door creaked open as Brian pushed it and left the room. He didn't bother to close it. He looked around the hallway hurriedly for something to defend himself. There was nothing. Brian sighed. Maybe he should just stay in his room... but if the intruder came in, he'd be trapped. He gulped and tiptoed down the stairs as quiet as possible. He peered through the banister into the living room. Empty. Then the kitchen. There he saw the figure. It looked familiar... Brian rubbed his eyes to clarify his vision. It was... Aileen! Oh. My. God. How stupid could he be?! He completely forgot Aileen was staying over for the night! He shook his head in disappointment as he forced a smile on his crazed face. He walked into the kitchen nonchalantly and greeted Aileen, "Good morning Aileen. Care for some breakfast?" [ sea of the day | tumblr ][ occ: yay beau's first post! ] Beau stretched his aching muscles as he stood up slowly off his bed. He had to support himself by placing his hand on his knee. Swim practice yesterday was brutal. Yes, the school was closed, but he still needed to practice. Soon enough, spring swimming would be upon him and he needed to be ready. Last year when he was a Freshman, he was the star of the swim team. He wanted to keep that reputation up. He looked out the window to his swimming pool. He suffered in that pool, he rejoiced in that pool. He felt so lucky that the storm didn't sweep his prized pool away. Beau was that pool. Throwing on a pair of slippers, Beau walked into the kitchen. His house was only one floor, and he lived right by Lake Bellhurst. It was insane that his home only suffered minor damages and flooding. His mom was in the kitchen, cooking up some bacon. He couldn't see what was in the skillet, but the smell was undeniable. He approached her and kissed her cheek. "Good morning Mom," His voice rang. She greeted him back and he took a seat at the dining room table. He was sitting opposite his father. Beau avoided eye contact at all costs.
[ scarf of the day | tumblr ] [ occ: n/a ] "Brian, do you mind if I stay over at your house tonight? I really don't want to go home." Brian nodded and replied sweetly, "Of course Aileen. You are always welcome over. Besides, I don't think my family is home yet anyway." He quickly turned to her and flashed a smile, turning his eyes back onto the road. It was dark out, so he especially needed to stay vigilant. Brian popped the trunk as they skidded to a stop in front of Brian's house. He threw his head back with a sigh, and rolled his head to Aileen where he gave a look of exhaustion and disbelief. Everywhere he went, somebody always died. He growled under his breath.
[ scarf of the day | tumblr ][ occ: n/a ] Aileen's answer shocked Brian. Was it really past noon already? Hm, how odd. Brian almost always work up by ten... he must have really crashed last night. What was so tiring...? It's not like it mattered anyway; he was thinking too much into this. How silly. More commotion. What was all this ruckus about? Brian's mind wandered as he said, "Excuse me, I'll be right back." He closed the door gently and quickly put on something more presentable. He adjusted his hair, and threw on the same scarf as the day prior. When Brian reopened the door, he saw an older woman next to Aileen. "Pardon me... Brian, was it? Everyone has been ordered to leave the facility due to some..." The receptionist paused and swallowed hard. "Deaths." Her voice wavered as she bowed slightly and walked away, avoiding eyes contact. Brian's eyes widened, his mouth agape. W-who was killed this time...? He had no idea in the slightest. Who would be dumb enough to break one of Crestatia's rules? He shook his head and closed the door again. He packed his bags as quickly as he could, he--and Aileen--needed to get out of here now. Brian emerged from the entrance and slammed the door forcefully behind him. "You need to back your bags. Now." His voice was direct.
Soon after Brian pulled the blanket over him, he heard a knock on the door. One eye opened slowly as he yawned and pushed the blanket off him. He shut his eyes as the sun blinded him. Brian, again, slowly opened one eye then the other. Little orbs of light clouded his blurry vision as he stood up and stretched. Some bones cracked and Brian cringed. He threw on a pair of sweatpants and casually opened the door. He didn't even bother to fix his hair for his guest. Brian hoped they wouldn't mind as he opened the door a crack. It was... Aileen! What a pleasant surprise! He smiled at her and said, "Good morning~" His voice was soothing with its tired tone. She was already dressed and looking presetable... how long was he asleep for? He instinctively reached in his pocket for his phone, though it was on the end table. Brian added sleepily, "Do you know what time it is?" He heard some commotion coming from the lobby. What was going on? Eh... he was too lazy to check now. Besides, he'd probably find out later.
lol @ u pepl so dum lik wow
haha i tld u dumas she min nao com bby let us go
[ scarf of the day | tumblr ][ occ: omg this is so cray ;-; ] Alice... wasn't Aileen's sister? But... how? They looked so alike, and they just... Brian had gone over it a million times in his head, but it still didn't sink in. He was so confused and conflicted. He knew Aileen would never lie about something like this, but at the same time, it was just so bizarre. His head spun, giving him a slight headache and dazing him out. When Brian returned to his senses, his eyes widened and a chill shook his body. He looked around the area; he was still in the lobby. But Aileen was gone? He looked to the receptionist who then gave him a key. She nodded and pointed to the direction he assumed Aileen went. She must have noticed his prior trance. What a thoughtful woman. "Thank you," Brian said, collecting himself together, his voice wavering. Pivoting on his feet, he turned and speedily walked in that direction. He didn't know which room was Aileen's. He wanted to have the room next to her... but it's not like he could knock to find out. She was probably dead asleep. Brian curiously looked to the key, which had the room's number on it. The boy, displeased with his idiocy, shook his head to seemingly no one. He scanned the hallway for the right door, until he eventually found it. Maybe he was next to Aileen, since the receptionist seemed to know that they were almost a pair. He entered the room quietly and set his luggage down. He quickly unpacked and flopped onto the bed, where he soon fell asleep peacefully. --- Sunlight entered through the windows, shining onto his weary face. Brian definitely didn't want to get up yet. He sighed, and pulled the covers over him.
omg ew it's rissy what's she doing back here? *hairflip* *gum popping* ...i kid of course! welcome back! <3
[ scarf of the day | tumblr ][ occ: n/a ] Aileen's solemn expression pierced Brian. She never looked so torn before, at least from he'd seen of her. "...Well, to make this story short... Alice isn't really my sister, Brian. I wasn't aware Brian- neither is she." He looked at his best friend with confusion. What she serious? ...Of course she was. He wanted to give her advice... but what could he say? There wasn't much for her to do but heal. He developed a sad expression and hugged Aileen tightly. He rubbed her back gently. "It's okay Aileen, everything will be okay, okay?" He detached and looked at his friend deeply with a smile on his face. He needed to change the course of the conversation now--he shouldn't have even brought it up in the first place. Brian grabbed Aileen's hand and proceeded to guide her through the front doors. 'We're at a hot springs! Let's make the most of it, yeah?" He took off his scarf with his free hand and wrapped it around the both of them. "There, now we can be snugly warm--together!" He giggled slightly. Hopefully this playfulness would lighten the mood a little.
[ scarf of the day | tumblr ][ occ: poor cherno. ;-; ] Aileen appeared from her driveway, looking back to her home. She looked disappointed as she shopped into the car and buckled her seat belt. "Thanks for driving me, Brian. Don't think my parents would have done it today..." She sounded borderline depressed. Her longing eyes wandered back to her house. Brian sighed and drove away, leaving the house, and hopefully his best friend's worries, behind them. The duo reached Trembling Mountain in no time. As Brian unbuckled his seatbelt, he asked, "Hey Aileen, are you alright? The whole ride here you were pretty quiet." He paused and inhaled deeply. "Does this have to do with Alice, or your parents?" His tone was gentle, because he was walking into some rocky territory. Brian looked worriedly at Aileen, afraid of what her answer would be.
